Weather in Cincy Tomorrow (1 Viewer)

Weather forecasts for Cincinnati say that they could get up to an inch of rain tomorrow night. Winds are supposed to be at 10-20mph - a little breezy, but nothing that should affect passes too much. Not sure if the weather will have much of an effect on either team either way... just a heads up.

Isn't the consensus that rain generally bodes well for the offense, especially the passing game?
Negative.WRs do well in the snow, believe it or not. Remember Jerry Porter's game in Denver? It's hard for the DBs to stay with the wideouts when the footing is poor in the snow. Rain and wind on the other hand is generally a nightmare for passing games.I have Baltimore's defense and I was gonna sit them this week. Might have to rethink it now.

Ah. Thanks. I was obviously getting rain confused with snow.

Hmmm. Now I really don't like Palmer's match-up, but who could I possibly sit him for... :wall:

It just figures that this game will be played duringa storm--I play the 1st place team in my division, I have palmer & will be going up against Brees, FWP & Holt (who's been cold, but is guaranteed to blow-up vs. AZ... I just hope Palmer can put up 200/2/0 so I can go into the weekend w/ a shot...

I wonder how the NFL Network will prepare for the rain.

Their pregame and halftime show last week was AWFUL.

I'm really jonesin' for this game. One of the hottest offenses against one of the nastiest meanest defenses.

I hope Carson Palmer gets cracked in half!

Well, whatever you do, just make sure to keep us posted.

WRs do well in the snow, believe it or not.
The Seahawks receivers must not have been informed of this...they dropped everything thrown to them during the snowy first half on MNF.I was very surprised to see Palmer, Johnson, and TJ ranked so high in the projections for this week. I would have thought that just playing Baltimore would have dropped them some...and then add in bad weather conditions.

Seahawk receivers are like the mailmen of drops, neither rain, nor sleet, nor snow, nor shine shall keep them from dropping passes.

This was true when i played but it doesnt apply if it is still raining.
Man this looks to add a lot of value to Mr. Rudi Johnson :banned:
You know he's playing against Baltimore, right?
:goodposting:
I dont have the stats handy, but Rudi has done pretty well consistently against Baltimore.I traded for Rudi earlier in the year and that was specifically one of the stats I looked at.

Although hard to read, it looks like he averages about 80 yards and a touchdown against them. Now add in the weather factor and................

Cinci's rag-tag O-line was getting blown up by the doo-doo Browns last week, so I'm not particularly enthusiastic about Rudi's chances to continue his mild success against Baltimore tonight. I'm leaning towards sitting him.

I'm currently planning on sitting Rudi in favor of Driver/Evans in the utility spot. I also thought quite a bit about starting Lundy. I play in a ppr.

he looks much better at home then away when he plays balt...im sitting him for mcallister...

Hopefully there will be a few guys from the Cincy area posting here tonight who can give us an accurate picture of the weather. I have Palmer and Bulger and will probably go with Palmer unless the rain is pretty heavy at game time. If it is, then Bulger will get the start playing at home vs the Cards, and weather won't be an issue.

Is it raining in Cincinnati now? Just curious.

Not looking good as of now, based on what weather.com is saying and the radar is showing.

6pm Rain / Thunder 61°F 60% chance of rain

7pm Rain / Thunder 60°F 70%

8pm Rain / Thunder 58°F 70%

9pm Rain / Thunder 58°F 80%

10pm Rain / Thunder 57°F 80%

11pm Rain / Thunder 56°F 90%

How do kickers do? Is this an ideal situation to be in or one to avoid?

I've ridden Carson Palmer the last few weeks. He put me in the position to make the playoffs.

I can't give up on him now. I'm hitching my success directly to his.

Let's go CARSON!

in perfect weather during week 9 when these teams played, Palmer was average at best. 12 for 26, 195 yards, 1 TD, 2 INTs. I'm not sure Palmer is worth starting in heavy rain against a great D right now...what do you guys think?

All my Bengals are sitting this week..Looks bad, real bad..

its cloudy, but no dark clouds or any sign of rain yet.i'm buying a poncho just in case for the game tonite, though.stoked for this game either way

I have Palmer starting for now, but his backup is Bulger. With the difference in the way they have been playing I am having a hard time making the switch. Also, I have CJ at WR and Baltimore is my starting D. Only backup for Balt D is NY giants. I think I might be in trouble.

I'm in the same boat you are with Palmer and Bulger. So hard to sit Palmer with the way he's been playing. The match-up doesn't scare me that much, as I think the Bengals will have to throw the ball to win and the Ravens are slightly susceptible to the pass. But this weather thing is going to be the decision-maker for me. I remember when Palmer faced KC Week 1 and watching him hand the ball off to Rudi all second half in the driving rain was tough to watch. I'd rather roll the dice with Bulger if the skies open up.

To add another factor, what does the potential return of Braham to the OL do for Rudi?Braham hoping to return tonight

a) Braham rusty - no difference

b) Braham rusty - Ghiaciuc playing better - overall

c) Braham is the key - overall
