Weather in Seattle (1 Viewer)

high 56 with 40% chance of rain, and possibility of swirling winds.is it going to be bad at game time?
FYI, the weather in the Pacific Northwest is about the most difficult to predict anywhere in the country. I don't think you're going to get a reliable read from anyone on this board, certainly not better than you'd get from weather.com, etc.

I'm not much of a weatherman, but from looking at the radar and satellite the worst has already passed. Winds are forecasted to be less than 10 MPH. There will probably be occasional light showers, but nothing too heavy. Can't see anything that would make me change my FF lineup.

i wuoldn't start anyone from SEA not becasue of the weather but instead because the Giants D might actually kill chuck Whitehurst today on the field and that probably won't bode well for SEA fantasy players or for thier D either which is likely to be on the field for about 80% of the game today and will get tired and worn down and then give up a lot of points and plays and probably won't get a lot of pressure either.

Noted. I don't have any Seattle players on my team. :scared:

Seattle players are always difficult to predict since they are simply not very good. I am sitting Big Mike this week since he put up a dud last week, is facing a stout Giants pass D and has a nobody as QB.

This has Trap written allover it
Sure it does and if the Giants lose everyone will say that and if they win everyone will forget it. My take is that the Giants have been very sloppy with the ball and if they control that they won;t get beat. the only other area the Giants are weak is their special teams which are AWFUL. Ironically Leon Washington is exactly the type of guy the Giants could use.The Giant defense will travel well and the Giants can be balanced enough on offense to win this game on the ground or in the air. Trap or no trap, I like the Giants here

Meachem over Big Mike for me.
I'm sitting Williams, and it's not because of the weather. He's going to put up numbers like 5/45/0. I suppose that gets him into your lineup in a start-3 WR flex league with bye week problems or something, but otherwise this is just a bad matchup IMHO.

I agree. My decision is not due to the weather either. I definitely have injury problems at WR and don't love starting Meachem, but I think he is a better option than Big Mike this week.

Beautiful weather in Seattle right now after raining all day yesterday. A little windy and chilly, but no rain in sight, its blue sky and a few scattered clouds.

Poor weather in Seattle is myth. I know the tag is that it rains all the time, but its just not what people think. Every major east coast city gets more inches of rainfall each year than Seattle. However, it rains a larger percentage of the days in the winter here than it does there. When we get rain in the northwest it generally very light and consistent. Lots of days it feels more like a misting than what most people think of as "rain".

Consider this: I've been driving vehicles in this area since the early 80s. I think I've turned my windshield wipers to the slow setting perhaps five times in nearly 30 years, never on fast. Intermittent wipers is a way of life here. I understand why the perception exists, but without some perspective its harder to understand without having actually lived here.

Added note: I'm about 100 miles north of Seattle and it looks like a beautiful day so far. Sun is currently shining with just a few white puffy clouds in the sky, and we generally get a bit more precipitation up here than they get in the city of Seattle.

A nobody, but a nobody with a strong deep ball. I think this is the week that BMW gets unleashed as a deep threat no matter what the weather.
