Week 07 2024 who should I start thread **OFFICIALLY UNOFFICIAL** (1 Viewer)

0.5 PPR, bench two:

Derrick Henry @ TB
Breece Hall @ PIT
Davante Adams @ PIT
Chuba Hubbard @ WAS
Diontae Johnson @ WAS
Chris Godwin v BAL
David Montgomery @ MIN
That's brutal.

I'm benching Montgomery (MN gives up 2nd fewest FPPG to RB)
I'm benching Adams adjustment period, rust, whatever, and PIT ranks 24th in FPPG allowed to WR.

Standard scoring

Please pick which QB:

G.Smith @ Falcons
ARich/Flacco vs Dolphins

Also need 3 from the following flex options:

B.Hall @ Steelers - normally not a question but matchup is bad
Monty @ Vikings - ugly matchup but can't bench really
Achane @ Colts - need to see the division of labor in this backfield post-BYE
C.Brown @ Browns - liking what I see but Moss isn't going away
R.Davis vs Titans - speculative add in case Cook misses more time
JSS @ Niners - is he the new 1?
G.Pickens vs Jets - Russ starting, maybe a new dawn?

Thanks
Geno pretty much for sure to me. Richardson can make you regret it quickly, and there could be more than a few rush opportunities near the goal line, but I think Geno is going to see plenty of pass attempts against a hot Falcons offense. ETA: I already am backtracking on this one. You drafted Richardson knowing his limitations as a passer, this is a game Indianapolis should win... Yeah.

Richardson>Geno

Hall, Monty &, IF Cook misses another game Davis.

If Cook plays it's tougher and really a coin toss between Brown & JSS. I might roll the dice with Brown, he had a TD called back on a penalty, the best part is the carry was from the goal line, something I think most of us assumed would go to Zack.

I expect the Bengals to win so I probably roll with Chase Brown in the third spot.

Here's a quick one:
FFPC scoring:
Which Tight End:

H.Henry vs JAX
G.Calcaterra @ NYG

And which QB:

K.Murray vs LAC
J.Goff @ MINN
I have literally never heard of G.Calcaterra (seriously) so, Henry>that guy

I stick with Kyler here. I like Goff a lot but I don't expect weekly outputs like he had against Dallas. This looks like a tough game and I don't know who will win. With Kyler you know the offense runs through him.

Kyler>Goff

Must start a ROOKIE in one of our flex spots..

.5PPR
Tracy vs PHI
C. Little (K) vs NE
L. Mcconkey vs ARI
Bub Means vs. DEN
I want to say Tracy. There is more uncertainty this week with Singletary likely returning and losing Andrew Thomas. But it is a neutral matchup at home and, he represented well for the most part.

I could definitely be talked into Ladd McConkey here and he may be the right play regardless. He is seeing consistent volume and has a very good matchup. Yeah, with all the uncertainty around the Giants...

McConkey>Tracy No real interest in the others.

Start 3 @ WR and 2 @ Flex, Full PPR:

Diontae Johnson @ WAS
Addison vs DET
Waddle @ Indy
Douglas @ JAX

Javonte Williams @NO
Tracy vs PHI
Chandler vs DET

I think my lean is Johnson, Addison, Douglas at WR
Then Javonte and either Chandler/Tracy at the 2nd flex or Waddle if both RB's see their starters play this week.

I guess the real question is how high do Chandler and Tracy move up the rnakings if their respective starters are out? Chandler with a tough matchup vs Detroit
Hard to believe I am saying this but I think I bench Waddle. I just cannot make an argument in favor of him, probably not even as a flex which is a little crazy.

I do worry that Javonte is in an even more crowded backfield ATM but he's probably your best bet for volume, particularly as a receiver.

For the other flex I think it depends mostly on the status of Aaron Jones & Devin Singletary. If both are out I go with Tracy, if Singletary plays I go with Chandler. If both play I probably go back to Tracy.

Have to sit one of these WRS

Jefferon vs Detroit
Nabors vs Philly
Dell @ GB
Flowers @ Tampa
Wilson @ Pittsburg
Wilson. Pretty easily. Tough matchup and Davante is playing.

If you love Wilson then I probably bench Flowers because that team runs through the legs of Henry & Lamar.

0.5 PPR, bench two:

Derrick Henry @ TB
Breece Hall @ PIT
Davante Adams @ PIT
Chuba Hubbard @ WAS
Diontae Johnson @ WAS
Chris Godwin v BAL
David Montgomery @ MIN
Is there any world where you bench Henry or Monty?

After that it is an absolute coin toss and, I am sorry to say I think I would change my mind a dozen times between now and Sunday. My gut says Davante and Hall but that is based on nothing.

Really need some help this week. I'm looking at mediocre options for the 2nd RB slot. Hold your nose and pick one for .5 PPR

J WIlliams (DEN) - plays tonight
Etienne (JAX) - questionable and I'm thinking he doesn't play
R White (TB) - likely in a 3 headed backfield
Chandler (MIN) - Valuable if Aaron Jones sits out (on EDIT- Jones practiced today so this seems like a dead end)
Guerendo (SF) - Valuable if Mason sits out

All things being equal I'd probably go with Williams tonight going against a weak Saints D. However, I could wait until Sunday and see if either Chandler or Guerendo become more interesting options if either of the guys ahead of them can't play. Downside is obviously that if Mason and Jones don't sit out, then I'm stuck starting Etienne or White, ugh. Thoughts?

It sure sounds like JT may miss this week again.

If he is out and Robinson Jr (Who I'd shift from flex to RB) is healthy, who do you start at Flex in 0.5 PPR?
  • Aiyuk vs. Chiefs
  • Chase Brown vs. Browns
  • Goodson vs. Dolphins (Remember JT is out)
  • Also have Allegier vs. Seahawks, Sean Tucker vs. Ravens and Braelon vs. Steelers but not considering those three really
In the awful case that JT AND Robinson Jr. are out, who would you shift to RB and put in flex of the same group?

Javonte does make sense for sure. He will see a decent amount of snaps and opportunities, particularly in the passing game. But I think he is a limited upside guy, maybe he gets 5 receptions and a crack at the end zone if you're lucky.

Mason is still in a non-contact jersey. Maybe the Niners are being overly cautious but if I knew Mason was out I would play Guerendo over Javonte.

None of your other options are particularly exciting and Javonte is probably a safe option to start the week. But, if you're a gambling man the hold out on Guerendo and if Mason is set to play either pivot to Chandler or hope Mason is limited and cedes carries to Guerendo.

No interest in White against Baltimore or Etienne ATM.

Even if JT is out Goodson is still probably in a timeshare. Just because we think he looks better than Sermon doesn't mean the coaches agree. Sermon was in on 60% of their snaps to 39% for Goodson.

If you're thinking of the timeshare RB route Chase Brown is in a similar situation and looks like a better player overall than Goodson. He scored a 31 yard TD and had another TD from the goal line called back on a penalty. I would definitely start him over Goodson.

The question is would I start him over Aiyuk, who still hasn't shown much yet. I think I might.

Brown>Aiyuk>Goodson

.5 PPR .. Pick 1

Bub Means “Business”

Or

Sam “I am” LaPorta

Pick 1 .. Thanks in advance.
I had to look up what team Means plays for so...

LaPorta

Take that with a grain of salt. Means should have a lot of opportunities with Olave & Shaheed out so he may be a better play. I just don't know enough about him to say

PPR Need two:

Kamara vs Den (Offense missing alot)
Monty vs Min
James Cook Vs Ten
Javonte Williams?

Thanks
I am honestly shocked at how many people are asking if they should be starting Monty. Most of them are nuts, HOWEVER, with Kamara and Cook I can see the concern.

Only question I have is why is Javonte an option? Maybe he puts up a monster tonight but it doesn't make him a smart choice if it happens.

ATM I start Monty over both Kamara and Cook because he has fewer concerns for health and team offensive struggles. His 17 opportunities have been fantasy gold, ride that as long as you can.

Between Kamara and Cook it's tough but I lean Kamara because, IMO he's a better player, he should see more touches and he isn't nursing an injury.

Monty>Kamara>Cook>Javonte

OK how about this one : Standard League

Kamara vs Den
Bijon vs Sea?
I might go with Bijan here. Kamara is probably better but it kinda looks like Cousins is starting to unlock the offense, particularly London & maybe Bijan. Sorry Pitts managers, he may be what we have seen him to be.

Standard scoring + PPR

If Cupp is a go on Sunday, start w/ confidence?

If not, JuJu vs Ladd Mcconkey?

or any consideration for either of these two if Kupp starts? I think not but gotta ask.

Thank You

In my SuperFlex league, I need to decided between:

Murray vs LAC - Tough against opposing passers
Smith vs ATL - surprisingly tough against QB's and held Mahommes and Hurts in check

I also have Walker who I'm starting on SEA.

IMO you play Kupp if he plays. Stafford loves that guy, and it's a great matchup.

If Kupp doesn't play, and I don't think he will, I'll take a shot chasing the points with JuJu.

Full PPR, start 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 Flex, 1 TE.

Pick 2 RBs from:
Hall @ PIT
Monty @ Min
Hunt @ SF
Chubb @ CIN

My 2 WRs are:
London vs SEA
Metcalf @ ATL

Flexing:
Smith @ NYG

TE:
LaPorta @ MIN
Kraft vs HOU

I honestly don't like any of my RB matchups. On paper, Chubb has the easiest matachup but I want to wait a game and see how he looks before fully trusting him. Hunt has the next best matchup and is the clear RB1 in KC. But then Hall and Monty are my usual RB1 and RB2, but have terrible matchups this week.

I feel ok with my WR and Flex spots.

TE I am leaning LaPorta. MIN is hard to run against and DET may have to lean on passing more?
I like Kraft over LaPorta. LaPorta really hasn’t done much besides a trick play TD. j Williams has eaten into hie production.

I still think you have to start Monty, he’s running behind an elite OL, Hall also. We need to see what Chubb can do before starting him.

All TDs 6. 1 point per reception starting with the 6th one (e.g. 9 receptions is worth 4 total points). 1 point for every 25 yards rushing/rec combined starting with 50 yards (e.g. 117 combined yards is 3 total points).

Start which 4 out of:
Bijan Robinson
Drake London
David Montgomery
Diontae Johnson
Terry McLaurin
Devonta Smith
DK Metcalf
De'Von Achane (if healthy)

If you could rank 'em 1 to 4 that would help since I am playing Mason if he suits up. And yes this league only has 8 teams which leads to crazy start/sir situations like this.

Thanks!
-QG
B Robinson
DK Metcalf
D Johnson (game has some shootout potential IMO)
Monty

I think i will be down to just starting whoever is healthy…standard scoring need a WR and flex to pair with AJ Brown James Conner and Kenneth Walker. Dont love my WRs and my RBs are banged up or in timeshare with a terrible matchup.

George Pickens vs Jets
Aiyuk vs KC
JuJu @ SF
Cooper vs TN
Jordan Mason vs KC
Jonathon Taylor vs Mia
Bucky Irving vs Balt

Also need a TE with Goedert not likely to play and Hockenson uncertain:
Otton vs Balt
Parkinson vs Vegas
Likely @ TB
Henry @ Jax
Schultz @ GB

PPR League. Trade question:

I'm a D. Kincaid owner. Looking to upgrade. The B. Bowers owner needs RB help. Potential Trade:

* I GET: B. Bowers.
* I GIVE: D. Kincaid & R. Dowdle

I don't think I need Dowdle (and he has a bye this wee). I have: J. Jacobs, J. Conner, C. Hubbard, T. Tracy, Z. Moss, B. Allen.

Bowers has been excellent, but the LV offense is a bit scary. Fear that Bowers sinks with the ship at some point. However, he and J. Meyers should be the focal point of the offense.

Do it? No brainer?

Thanks

I would do it easily but with the caveat that Bowers is likely to receive a lot more defensive attention with Adams gone.

PPR League. TE question.

* D. Kincaid vs TN - Stats say the worst matchup for TEs. Another mouth to feed in Cooper coming over. Was respectable last week in this TE wasteland.

* H. Henry @Jax (London) - Maye seems to have given the offense a spark. JAX pass D terrible. Let C. Kmet go wild last week for 2 TDs. NE offense still terrible, but looks like Rhamandre back too. Could surprise here with no real WR weapons.

* G. Calcantrara @NYG -- Goedert most likely out. Looked speedy catching 4 passes last week.

Stick with Kincaid? Or roll the dice with one of the other 2?

Thanks

DON'T LAUGH!

I need to start one of these two for QB super flex. total yardage and limited interceptions are the biggest keys here.

Watson vs. Cinncy
Levis @ Buffalo

I like both your options. I personally probably roll with Murray because of his mobility. But Geno is also a very good option, particularly with the hope that it's a high scoring game. Also having Walker increases scoring consistency. In long run it's definitely a benefit.

In your situation...

Geno>Kyler

The question really assumes that Mason and Taylor are out. Because if either one of them plays, or both, then, IMO, you have to start them as your flex option.

For your receiver it comes down to Aiyuk and JuJu in my opinion. And if both Taylor and Mason are out then whichever one you don't pick should be the flex.

At the moment I view them as a coin toss and because it's standard scoring that makes it even tougher.

I probably lean JuJu>Aiyuk

Likely is your best TE IMO, high variance but that's the guy I would probably start.

If you can make that trade happen I would absolutely make it happen.

Personally, if I was the Bowers manager I wouldn't trade him for that.

I stick with Kincaid, he's been a huge disappointment, but I don't see either of those guys having nearly the upside that Kincaid does.

But it's tight ends. So who the hell knows?

I won't laugh, but is it okay if I throw up in my mouth a little bit? Too late..

I go with Levis. I imagine the Browns want to run the ball 500 times per game at this point. With Chubb coming back maybe they can do it.
