Week 07 2024 who should I start thread **OFFICIALLY UNOFFICIAL** (1 Viewer)

PPR, need 2 of:

George Pickens vs NYJ
Josh Downs vs MIA
Demario Douglas @ JAX

Douglas actually seems like the easiest guy to start at this point, and then I'm leaning towards Downs when without Flacco simply because the combo of the Jets defense and Russ's first game back does not sound enticing (though I'm scared Russ will hit Pickens for a big TD if I bench Pickens)

Douglas/Pickens

PPR League. Trade question:

I'm a D. Kincaid owner. Looking to upgrade. The B. Bowers owner needs RB help. Potential Trade:

* I GET: B. Bowers.
* I GIVE: D. Kincaid & R. Dowdle

I don't think I need Dowdle (and he has a bye this wee). I have: J. Jacobs, J. Conner, C. Hubbard, T. Tracy, Z. Moss, B. Allen.

Bowers has been excellent, but the LV offense is a bit scary. Fear that Bowers sinks with the ship at some point. However, he and J. Meyers should be the focal point of the offense.

Do it? No brainer?

Thanks
If you can make that trade happen I would absolutely make it happen.

Personally, if I was the Bowers manager I wouldn't trade him for that.
He first rejected then after thinking about more about the lack of D. Adams and QB situation he accepted. Also desperate for RB.

.5 PPR
I’m favored by 10

Have to start 1 of these:

Tyrone Tracy vs Philly
Trey Sermon vs Miami
Tyler Goodson vs Miami

Probably leaning Tracy.
Thanks Jonathan Taylor!!😡

PPR league. Need one of these 3 WRs:

* B. Thomas vs NE (in London): Could have C. Gonzalez shadowing him Gonzalez pretty damn good, but not complete lockdown. JAX offense looks a bit broken. Thomas could have had a TD last week but it clanged off his hands. Lawrence only seemed to have eyes for E. Engram last week (and annoyingly, G. Davis).

* JSN @ATL - Could be a shootout with SEA D super banged up. However, JSN still not getting looks down the field. All short stuff. Lockett taken off the injury report. Apparently, JSN has a good matchup against ATL's slot corner.

* JuJu @SF - Does he slide right in as R. Rice "light?" I'm not sure what to believe and don't love chasing points. However, SF is 4th worst in covering slot WRs.

Which?

Thanks

tough one. I’d go with Douglas and Pickens. Miami is giving up the least amount of fantasy points to WR’s this season.

1 point per first down, otherwise standard scoring. Pick 1:

Demario Douglas @ JAX
Goodson vs. Miami
Sermon vs. Miami

I'm in a bind. I HAD Justin Fields starting but since idiot Tomlin thinks he's a genius, no longer an option. Either Darnold or Dalton.

I mostly agree but follow Sermon's closely today/tomorrow Goodson may have a great opportunity. Frankly, considering the matchups I might, maybe, possibly consider Goodson regardless.

But Tracy has earned reps, Dabol said as much so I'd roll with that.

Y'know, I really like all your options but my love of USC has put blinders on me so I'm saying ride the JuJu 🌊 🌊 🌊

Darnold but maybe wait until Tomlin actually says Wilson is starting. If he doesn't I'd roll with Darnold hoping for a high scoring game.

PPR League. Need an RB:

* J. Conner vs LAC - Everyone was talking about him being banged up but no sign of him on the injury report. LAC statistically tough on RBs, but haven't really played anyone. N. Harris went 18-70 and K. Hunt off the street went 14-69. Conner curiously is getting no receptions. AZ has played a tough schedule...I wonder if they are undervalued right now.

or

* T. Tracy vs PHI -- Statistically an ok matchup. Singletary will play, but it sounds like they are taking it slow. If PHI gets out big, Tracy could get a lot or receptions out of the backfield. Tracy is without a doubt explosive, but this has that feeling of maybe getting a little cute.

Which?

Thanks

.5 PPR - pick one

Downs - Richardson as qb means less opportunities
D Douglas - going against porous Jax D
Waddle - feels like a bad choice. Hasn’t broken 7 points since Tua went down

Leaning Douglas but lmk your thoughts

Unless something changes with his injury status, Conner without question.

Appreciate you Bro:
FFPC scoring:

Need ONE flex from this group:

N.Chubb(if he plays) vs CINN
T.Allgeier vs SEA
L.McConkey @ AZ
R.Doubbs vs HOU
X.Legette @ WASH

And TWO from this group:

T.Allgeier vs SEA
K.Shakir vs TENN
R.Doubbs vs HOU
J.Downs vs MIA
D.Mooney vs SEA
I'd go McConkey. I really want to say Chubb, but I could absolutely see him having a very limited workload this week.

I'd go Mooney and Downs, and hope Richardson can take advantage of a pretty down bad Dolphins D.
At this point, do I have any reason to start Mahomes over Baker Mayfield? What about Geno Smith?
Given the matchup with SF, who is a bit of a run funnel, this likely isn't the week Mahomes really gets going, though I still think it happens at some point. I think Mayfield in a likely shootout with the Ravens is your best bet.
Full PPR, start 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 Flex, 1 TE.

Pick 2 RBs from:
Hall @ PIT
Monty @ Min
Hunt @ SF
Chubb @ CIN

My 2 WRs are:
London vs SEA
Metcalf @ ATL

Flexing:
Smith @ NYG

TE:
LaPorta @ MIN
Kraft vs HOU
I'm gonna be a little bold, and say I'd sit Monty, and go Hall and Hunt.

I'd also go Kraft over Laporta. I guess I'm a pretty big believer in the Vikings defense.
League #1, 0.5 PPR:
  • TE: Pitts vs. Seahawks or Hockenson vs. Lions (Assuming he is healthy)?

League #2, 0.5PPR:
  • Flex: Hubbard vs. Commanders, Tracey vs. Eagles, Olave vs. Broncos (Without Surtain and if Olave is healthy) or Juju vs. 49ers
    • Atm I do have Conner in at RB but would you start one of Hubbard/Tracey over him?
I'd go Pitts over Hock. Feel like Hock is eased in, assuming he even plays.

I'd go Hubbard and Conner. Just more trustable volume.
All TDs 6. 1 point per reception starting with the 6th one (e.g. 9 receptions is worth 4 total points). 1 point for every 25 yards rushing/rec combined starting with 50 yards (e.g. 117 combined yards is 3 total points).

Start which 4 out of:
Bijan Robinson
Drake London
David Montgomery
Diontae Johnson
Terry McLaurin
Devonta Smith
DK Metcalf
De'Von Achane (if healthy)

If you could rank 'em 1 to 4 that would help since I am playing Mason if he suits up. And yes this league only has 8 teams which leads to crazy start/sir situations like this.

Thanks!
-QG
London>Bijan>Johnson>McLaurin>DK>Mason>Smith>Achane>Monty

A little worried about Mason's injury/matchup and a lot worried about Monty's matchup. I think Atlanta/Seattle is the highest scoring game this week.
Cj stroud against the packers or Jared Goff against the Vikings?
I go Stroud. Honestly, I want no part of Goff this week.
PPR
4th WR
Worthy or JuJu

Other 3 WR starters: Metcalf, D. Smith and McLauren. I also do have Doubs and Downs as options...thanks!
I'd actually skip the KC WRs and go Downs. He's been pushing Pittman, who is banged up anyway, and with it being full PPR, Downs gets schemed a fair amount of short targets.
Standard scoring non-PPR league. I need 2 out of these 4 players:

Bigsby vs NE - was out snapped by Johnson last week
Hunt vs SF - don’t see why he shouldn’t be in my lineup
Stevenson vs JAC - still not practicing
Diggs vs GB - slow and steady especially with Collin’s out

Thoughts?
I'd roll with the old guys, Diggs and Hunt.
Thanks in advance!

Need 1. 12 team 0.5 PPR

Bigsby vs NE
Ekeler vs CAR
Chubb vs CIN

Appreciate it!
I think I'd roll with Bigsby here, assuming Etienne is out, otherwise Ekeler. I want to wait a week on Chubb where possible.
Standard scoring

Please pick which QB:

G.Smith @ Falcons
ARich/Flacco vs Dolphins

Also need 3 from the following flex options:

B.Hall @ Steelers - normally not a question but matchup is bad
Monty @ Vikings - ugly matchup but can't bench really
Achane @ Colts - need to see the division of labor in this backfield post-BYE
C.Brown @ Browns - liking what I see but Moss isn't going away
R.Davis vs Titans - speculative add in case Cook misses more time
JSS @ Niners - is he the new 1?
G.Pickens vs Jets - Russ starting, maybe a new dawn?

Thanks
I'd go Geno in the potential highest scoring game of the week.

I'd go all RBs, with Hall, Achane, and Monty.
Here's a quick one:
FFPC scoring:
Which Tight End:

H.Henry vs JAX
G.Calcaterra @ NYG

And which QB:

K.Murray vs LAC
J.Goff @ MINN
I'd go Henry against a Jags team that gets killed by TEs.

I'd go Murray over Goff. Better matchup and should have Harrison back.

PPR

Tank Dell @GB
or
Davante Adams @PIT
I think for at least this week, Dell is the call.
Can’t believe I’m typing this. Aiyuk or Wothy? Playing each other. Mad respect for Chiefs D
Jennings is out, so I'm willing to trust Aiyuk more than Worthy.
Kyler on MNF vs the Chargers
Stroud @ GB w/o Collins
I'd go Stroud. Plenty of weapons even without Nico.
Have to sit one of these WRS

Jefferon vs Detroit
Nabors vs Philly
Dell @ GB
Flowers @ Tampa
Wilson @ Pittsburg
I'd sit Wilson. Steelers D is no joke, and everyone else has better matchups.
0.5 PPR, bench two:

Derrick Henry @ TB
Breece Hall @ PIT
Davante Adams @ PIT
Chuba Hubbard @ WAS
Diontae Johnson @ WAS
Chris Godwin v BAL
David Montgomery @ MIN
I'd sit Monty and Adams. Feels weird to sit them for 2 Panthers, but that entire offense runs through those 2 guys.

Agreed, Conky can't be stopped, you can only hope to contain him.

JuJu is Q this week - a hammy issued popped up - he was LP both Thursday and Friday

Full PPR - Pick 2 RB, 3 WR and 1 Flex

RB - Chase Brown at Browns (10th vs RB)
RB - Tank Bigsby vs Patriots in London (29th vs RB)
RB - James Conner vs Chargers Monday Night (6th vs RB)- ankle issue Sunday's game, but was never on the injury report for practice
RB - Jordan Mason vs Chiefs (1st vs RB)- A/C Joint last Thursday, has no injury designation for Sunday
RB - Bucky Irving vs Ravens Monday Night (4th vs RB)

WR - Ja'Marr Chase at Browns (22nd vs WR) - definite starter
WR - Terry McLaurin vs Panthers (21st vs WR) - definite starter
WR - Brandon Aiyuk vs Chiefs (6th vs WR)
WR - Jameson Williams at Vikings (31st vs WR)

Full PPR

Davante Adams(Pitt)
Jordan Mason(Chiefs)
Actually think I’m going to start both and bench Aiyuk. Thoughts?
Aiyuk is... frustrating. Yeah, I could easily see it. I'm very worried about Mason's shoulder but, I would probably bench Aiyuk for him. Same for Davante because I think Rodgers is motivated to prove himself right and will force feed Davante.

weekly dilema
Purdy vs Goff?
As you said, as long as both are healthy, you will ask this question every week. I guess it boils down to opponent.
Purdy at home vs KC - has given up middle of the pack fantasy points to opposing QB's
Goff on road vs MIN - has given up 8th fewest points to opposing QB's
I'm going with Purdy here.

Got jacobs, barkley, dobbins right now

How much of your winnings do we get for setting your lineup? ;)

Connor, Mason, Ja'Marr & Terry seem automatic here. I don't think any of them are carrying an injury designation so, start 'em.

I would personally start Jameson over Aiyuk at WR without hesitation. YMMV

It comes down to Chase Brown v Aiyuk at flex IMO. I can see arguments for both. Aiyuk is probably the "smart" call based on the assumption that the guy we think he is will eventually show up. But I think I personally lean..

Brown>Aiyuk

Purdy Vs KC
Or
Goff Vs Minn

6 points for passing TD and -5 for each INT
This looks like a weekly coin flip.

I like Purdy this week playing at home. I know the Chiefs record after buys and when they're underdogs but I just think the Niners are a much more desperate team right now and need to win much more.

While I definitely believe the Lions may be the best team in football, I I think Minnesota views this as a true statement game . They are 32nd in the league in pass attempts against, and 30th in yards against but they lead the league in interceptions. It's a good defense.

As I said this is a weekly coin toss for you and probably is a gut call for me. My gut says..

Purdy>Goff

Darnold is automatic over Richardson, right? :oldunsure:

Then Bateman @ TB on MNF or Watson vs Houston?

I’m favored but not by enough to be comfortable.

I'm a huge Jameson fan and I have no problem with you starting him over Evans. Both defenses give up a lot of yards to opposing wide receivers. However, I personally view Evans as an auto start and I don't view Jameson the same way.

Go with your gut.

I agree with your choices at running back. I maybe might possibly consider starting Mason over Dobbins but it's close enough that I couldn't make a great distinction between the two.

WR:
Thomas Jr in London vs NE
Mooney vs Seattle

RB:
Chase Brown @ Cleveland
Tracy Jr vs Eagles

Many thanks
I like Mooney a lot but I think I have to go with the big play guy in Thomas. He's a bigger part of the jaguars offense and seems to legitimately be able to bust open a game.

Between Brown and Tracy it is a total coin toss. It really depends on what your gut tells you, personally. Going to go with Chase Brown because I like the matchup better from the perspective that I think the Bengals will win and the Giants will lose.

Brown>Tracy

FLEX
Jameson Williams (DET vs. MIN) or Josh Jacobs (GB vs. HOU)?
Jacobs is on a 1,700 yfs pace which is great, but also on pace to score 2.8 TDs total.

Starting Jacobs over Jameson really comes down to whether or not you believe the touchdowns will normalize. My guess is he has a couple multi-td games in him and he's worth playing because he's producing just well enough that he doesn't hurt you too badly as you try to capture those big TD games.

That being said, Williams seems to be very much on the rise and all it takes is one play from him to make a great week for you. And the Lions seemed very willing to give him a couple of those opportunities every week.

Jameson>Jacobs

But it's very close.
