Week 08 2024 who should I start thread **OFFICIALLY UNOFFICIAL** (1 Viewer)

Need 2 QBs out of Tua, Geno, Daniels/Mariota in superflex.

Leaning Tua at 1PM, then Daniels if he goes, but Geno over Mariota if he doesn't.

Among your players Tracy is the only one I own & follow more so. Based upon a small sample size I said that if the Giants went back to more of a split, it might impact Tracy's effectiveness. I also felt if that did occur the Giants would begin leaning on Tracy more. I do believe he'll assume more of the workload .... but, we've seen this with Singletary before. I have what would seem to be better choices so he's a wait for me.

Shakir was among the players I liked in the back but didn't get. Accordingly the Seahawks are very avg executing zone coverage & this season on 15 targets Shakir has 13 receptions, 240 yards, 1 TD & a 141.0 passer rating! Him I like, more than your players I can't say (other than Tracy). I'd appreciate any insight (from anyone) on Brian Robinson Jr, Terry McLaurin, Zay Flowers, even Jalen McMillan.

Purdy vs Dak - who are you rolling with? I own both Ceedee and Deebo, most likely benching Deebo (For BTJR or Adams).

Most ranking and projections have Purdy rated higher.

Cowboys coming off bye, 9ers banged up and heading into the bye.

Thoughts?

Yeah, I'm good with Dak, he feels safer despite the egg he laid against Detroit

Dak IMO. The offense runs through him and he is simply producing better overall than the others.

I think you may have just answered your own question. How does your matchup look? Are you favored to win—or is your opponent the favorite? If your opponent has a crazy solid lineup where you need upside—you roll with A-Rich. If you are the favorite and just need to avoid guys that have a floor of zero—you go with Herbert.
 
I have what I think is a tough one. I need to start one of these guys in a 0.5ppr format. My opponent does have Josh Allen as his qb—which could maybe favor Kincaid.

Kincaid vs Seattle (my opponent is starting Josh Allen).
Deandre Hopkins (first game as a chief vs the Raiders)
Jackobi Meyers (Going against the Chiefs—no Devante adams—so he could get some targets).

I would personally go Allen and Stroud. I think Allen is elite enough and can run enough to where you have to start him regardless of weather conditions. If you draft a guy like Allen—you play him. The matchup against Green Bay for Lawrence is intriguing—but Indy has gotten into shootouts and I just think that Stroud is a better qb in a more dynamic offense.
 
With Higgins out (and losing Godwin and Diontae)....I need a flex play. PPR for the TE, and 1/2 PPR for RB...

Andrews at CLE
Warren vs NYG
Tracy at PIT
Ekeler vs CHl
Allgeier at TB

Will Dissly (TE LAC) vs NO - plays at 3 pm and is questionable
Lucas Krull (TE DEN) vs CAR - plays at 3 pm
Andrei Iosivas (WR CIN) vs PHI - Tee Higgins out

There is a gamble on both sides of that equation. Mason feels safer but with less ceiling.

I kinda lean Achane but I really love Mason's matchup.

Coin toss but, for me

I go for the CeeDee/Dak stack.
 
Ugh. Just noticed Higgins is out. I own Iosivas, Burton and also have McConkey and Tyrone Tracy. Need to start one ppr (.5 ppr for RB).

Rolling with McConkey for the moment. Projections show me to be 8 point favorite, so I'm inclined to go highest ceiling, but I'm not sure who that is

If I'm a favorite, I'd lean highest floor vs ceiling.
 
TE Premium 1.5 PPR, 12 teams

H Henry, T Kraft, J Tolbert or D Douglas

A little bit of contex, I have Prescott and Lamb in my lineup. Henry and Kraft are .02 different in the league dominator, currently.

Yeah, tough one.

I think maybe Irving under the assumption the Bucs are going to try to run more and he's been very effective.

Dowdle is also an interesting dart throws if we think the Cowboys offense gets on track this week. Dalvin Cook was activated this week, I don't think it's a big deal but it's worth noting.

No real interest in the Patriots.

I thought about that as I was posting. You're probably right, emphasizing win over peak points. Probably gonna stick with the Ladd, and have Tracy in reserve if there's news with McConkey.

Ugh... How wrong were we all about Kincaid & Shakir? But, I still hold out hope that we start to see what we thought we were back in August.

I like Myers for volume but I hate the matchup.

I think Hopkins could have an Amari Cooper like game for sure. Dude can still play.

But, who do you choose???

I think I might hold my nose and risk it with Kincaid and his 6.5 targets/game over the last four.

I'd ride the wave with Andrews. The Ravens pass catchers are starting to run wild as defenses stack more and more players in the box to stop Lamar & Henry.

Tracy or McConkey and NO is a much better matchup.

I guess Kraft is on a bit of a hot streak so, probably him.

After that maybe Tolbert.
