Week 08 2024 who should I start thread **OFFICIALLY UNOFFICIAL** (1 Viewer)

Full PPR - pick one for flex ( yes this team is stacked)

Kamara at Chargers
Mason v Dallas
Achane v Arizona
Jayden Reed at Jax

Leaning Mason. Kamara has been meh with Rattler, Achane unknown with Tua’s return, Reed has been inconsistent given all the mouths to feed in GB / could be a blowout quickly.

I'm very good with Mason here. The Cowboys are #30 against RBs and Parsons & Bland (and Lawrence) are out again.

PPR, 6 pts for TDs, 5 pt bonuses @ 100 yards rushing/receiving, bonuses for long TDs
Special scoring for TDs (7 pts for TDs, 5 pt bonus for 70 yards receiving)

McBride @ MIA (6-67 v. LAR = 14 pts)
Kmet @ WAS (5-70, 2 TDs v. JAX = 27 pts)
Dell v. IND
Chase Brown v. PHI
JSN v. BUF

Thanks.

Flex ppr, pick 2
Tyrone Tracy at Pitt
Javonte Williams V Car
Kahil Shakir at Sea
Christian Watson @ Jac
I like Javonte for sure. After that it's either Tracy and hope he gets decent volume or Watson and hope the Jags d stays as bad as it's been all season. No interest in Shakir.

Javonte>Watson>Tracy

Higgins being a GTD scares me, as does the fact that he may pull up lame on the first series.

If I replace him, which one of these three?

Wan'Dale Robinson
Keon Coleman
Jaylen Waddle

So do I start Tua or risk putting Jayden in, knowing Tua plays in the early windows and Jayden the later.

I feel like I should play it safe and secure QB with Tua, if Jayden plays then so be it.
Go Tua.

Even if Daniels goes, could aggravate the rib injury throwing or taking a hit. Just more risk than you need

Standard scoring (Walker III and Connor locked in at RB)….flex question:
Mason against a bad Dallas D
J Taylor coming off injury @ Houston

PPR, 6 pts for TDs, 5 pt bonuses @ 100 yards rushing/receiving, bonuses for long TDs
Special scoring for TDs (7 pts for TDs, 5 pt bonus for 70 yards receiving)

McBride @ MIA (6-67 v. LAR = 14 pts)
Kmet @ WAS (5-70, 2 TDs v. JAX = 27 pts)
Dell v. IND
Chase Brown v. PHI
JSN v. BUF

Thanks.
I'm going Dell here.

Houston offense should bounce back.

Nabors or Hopkins ? Ppr
Nabers. Hopkins is going to be adjusting to the offense. He's also 32 and probably not the same dude we've come to love for FF. I think he'l be a solid WR2-WR3 a lot of weeks, but I think you gotta start Nabers over him most of the time.

JT or Mason? PPR.
Mason. Dallas gives up the 4th most points to RB's. The pass catching situation is a bit of a blood bath for SF. Mason should eat.

Taylor's 1st game back, I'm always a little weary. And you have an elite option to turn to instead. If your option was say Rhamondre, I'd ignore the fears of the 1st game back. But since you've got someone as good as Mason, go Mason

Flex ppr, pick 2
Tyrone Tracy at Pitt
Javonte Williams V Car
Kahil Shakir at Sea
Christian Watson @ Jac
Javonte #1 slam dunk. Carolina gives up the most points to RB's.

I'd probably personally go Watson. Jacksonville pass defense is bad and he's had a few down games. Seems like as good a time as any to break one.

Tracy with a tough matchup vs PITT.
Shakir a little unpredictable with Cooper in town

FWIW, a lot of places have Tracy ranked higher. I just don't see them running it well vs Pit and with Singletary back, opportunities won't be what you need to make up for it.

Tough one.

I agree I think it's Mason. Dallas gives up the 4th most points to RB's.

Jax gives up the 4th most points to WR's and Reed should eat. I just think there's always a chance GB spreads the ball out. Whereas SF is a little banged up in the pass catcher room and Mason should see the volume.

I assume Tua gets through the game and Achane should be pretty good. Mason just seems like the best option.

With these high end options: we're guessing and nitpicking. There's a good chance I don't pick the highest scorer. But process wise: Mason is your best bet.

1/2 ppr
Kamara against a tough Lac defense
dobbins in the same game vs NO
mason vs dallas at sf
hubbard vs denver
need 3

qb
dax vs purdy in SF
assuming kittle and debo both play

Im leaning chubba as the rb on the bench but thats tough for me because he has been so consistant and Im leaning Purdy at home but keep flip flopping at qb

I am a solid favorite to win if that matters to anybody
Bench Hubbard. The Carolina offense was inept with Bryce in even when he had his top 2 WR's. Now they're both out. And they're against a tough Denver defense. It's going to be UGLY.

Purdy is ranked higher everywhere. I'm a little worried about Deebo's exercise tolerance coming off a hospitalization for pneumonia. Dallas's run defense is bad and their passing defense is bad. I worry SF runs it a lot today, but I think the points will be scored. I think go Purdy and hope he throws a few in.

Got a slew of running backs to choose from. Need 3. PPR. Am currently starting the first three on this list but I have no idea what I am doing

Kamara
Hunt
Mason
Hubbard
Javonte
Pollard

Nabors or Hopkins ? Ppr
Nabers under the assumption last was an aberration for targets. Chiefs should control the game and may not have to pass too much.

I could see an Amari type performance from Hopkins but I could see a DeAndre circa 2018 from Nabers anytime he steps on the field.

PPR

Waddle vs Ariz
or
Tank Dell vs Ten?
Waddle.

As long as Tua's in, the Miami offense should be a machine. I expect Dell to have a much better day than last week. But Waddle is such an explosive/electric talent. Get him in the lineup.

PPR need 2

Javonte Williams vs Car
Kamara vs LAC
James cook vs Sea
Monty vs Ten?
Javonte and Kamara

I actually rank them in the order you listed them.

CArolina is the worst defense as far as FP to RB's.

And then I know the New Orleans ofense was awful last week. I would expect it to be a bit better with Olave and Hill back. I think they'll put in more dump offs to Kamara to make Rattler's life easier. I'm going Kamara for the 2nd one. But I think it's pretty close between Kamara, Cook, Montgomery. So if you have a huge hangup on Kamara because of the offense last week, I don't think it's crazy to play either of the other 2.

Soooo…with DK out and now Tee, I’m down to these options for my WR2 for the week: full PPR

Rashod Bateman(Cleveland)
Dontayvion Wicks(Jaguars)

Both pretty good matchups. I guess Bateman has the better floor but Wicks probably the higher ceiling. But Wicks feels way more volatile. I’ve got Bateman in there at the moment.
I think it's a coin flip as far as who does better. I'm down to very minor reasons trying to separate the 2.

I think there's a chance Baltimore gets all over Cleveland early, and that game goes similar to Balitmore's games vs Buffalo and Dallas where Lamar didn't even throw the ball 20 times.
I can't see a situation where GB doesn't throw the ball a ton.

I think it's just a bigger pie for Wicks, and lean that way.

But Bateman could certainly catch 1 for 52 yards and a TD.

QB - Williams or Goff (scoring is 4 per pass TD and 1/25 pass yards)

Pick 3 in ppr - Hubbard, Swift, Bateman, LaPorta, Ferguson, Pitts (one must be a TE).
Should I drop McPherson for Dicker, Bass, or Lutz this week? If it's close I assume Dicker because he's past his bye?
Williams

Swift, La Porta, Ferguson.

I don't trust Hubbard at all with Bryce back in. Bateman so boom/bust. I worry Baltimore smashes Cleveland and we don't see Lamar pass a ton. I just think Pitts is the least of the 3 TE options.

PPR, 6 pts for TDs, 5 pt bonuses @ 100 yards rushing/receiving, bonuses for long TDs
Special scoring for TDs (7 pts for TDs, 5 pt bonus for 70 yards receiving)

McBride @ MIA (6-67 v. LAR = 14 pts)
Kmet @ WAS (5-70, 2 TDs v. JAX = 27 pts)
Dell v. IND
Chase Brown v. PHI
JSN v. BUF

Thanks.
It's JSN or Brown for me...I could make an argument for McBride but nah.

I keep going back and forth, probably JSN but I don't think you can go wrong with either.

JT or Mason? PPR.
I have the same decision and am going Mason. Much better matchup (#2 d v RBs vs #30 d v RBs) and he's at home.
Thanks! That’s what I was leaning to as well. What about JT vs. Montgomery vs. Bigsby?
Probably JT but if you're not feeling him I would go with Monty. Bigsby doesn't factor in for me. No use in the passing game and doesn't score at nearly the clip of Monty.

Higgins being a GTD scares me, as does the fact that he may pull up lame on the first series.

If I replace him, which one of these three?

Wan'Dale Robinson
Keon Coleman
Jaylen Waddle
Probably Waddle but Wan'Dale of you're looking for PPR touches.

Dipping into the waiver wire due to injury. Standard scoring. 6 point touchdowns.

Need to start one:
Rogers at NE
Cousins at TB
Murray at MIA
Herbert v NE
Prescott at SF

Got a slew of running backs to choose from. Need 3. PPR. Am currently starting the first three on this list but I have no idea what I am doing

Kamara
Hunt
Mason
Hubbard
Javonte
Pollard
Mason, Javonte, Hunt without much hesitation.

How confident are we in Russell Wilson after 1 game? Fields was just downgraded to questionable with a hamstring issue, so that likely removes any concern that Fields could poach a TD.

His competition is Goff, who feels like he could underwhelm on a day where DET may not need to pass too much

So, Goff vs TEN
Or Wilson vs NYG (on MNF)

.5 PPR 10 point underdog

QB Jalen Hurts at Cincy
Or
Caleb Williams at Wash

Michael Pittman at Houston
Or
Evan Engram vs GB

Looking for higher ceiling

Thanks
