Week 1 injury thread (1 Viewer)

No such thing as incidental contact by Suh.
Was a time I argued Suh should get an entire season off for his thuggishness.....but there was nothing there today deserving a second glance. Completely accidental, not remotely intentional

Wonder if it's his ankle bothering him (Julio).

As a heavily invested Julio owner in 2014 and 2015, I can promise you that this is a regular occurrence.

If you have never owned him nor watched him closely on the sidelines, this is par for the course.

Often people refer to him as a "crotchety old man", thats often what he resembles and what he looks like when he gets up. He limps around, is slow to get up, and sometimes takes himself out of the game. BUT- he is tough, he plays through it. He gets back in.

The guy is a player, he knows the poor team around him needs him and he sticks it out.

I bet I saw him on the sidelines getting examined at least half a dozen times last year alone, and he always went back in. Even the night be blew slam up in prime time against GB in 2014 late in the season.  He went for 259 yards and a TD, and he was pulled multiple times in that game as well. I remember it distinctly because he saved my season that night.

I always had my concerns about him especially after his bad injury years ago, and its a tough thing to watch some days, but he is usually good to go.

OH, and get ready to hear the "questionable" term tossed around too, and he often gets "veteran rest days" instead of practice.

Its just part and parcel when it comes to owning Julio Jones. Umm, that and some absolute monster weeks as well.

Top Flight WRs not looking good...

Keenan Allen(2nd Round pick) OUT for season with an ACL tear, I've only seen Rod Woodson return same season form one of these to play in a Super Bowl IIRC.

D.Thomas is seeking a 2nd opinion on his hip MRI, that sounds like a minimum 4-6 week thing on the surface. If it were a week or two you would just accept the diagnosis most of the time.

Sammy Watkins, doesn't sound good but we need more info. Pain in his foot, I assume he has screws already in that foot...could miss the entire season or just a few weeks but neither is real positive.

Ertz a displaced, not broken, rib near the collarbone. Week-to-week.
That's a bummer. He was really starting to come on down the stretch last year and yesterday. Rib injuries have to be tough for any receiver, much less TE that makes his living over the middle.

Yes but at least it's not broken. It's not an injury he can play through but it should also heal quickly. Officially listed as Q for next week.

To be sure though, everyone and their brother is listed as questionable. The longer he stays out though, the more valuable playing time he'll lose with Wentz to continue to build chemistry.

In 1997 Jerry Rice tore an ACL in week 1.  Came back to play in Week 16 but broke his kneecap and did not play in Week 17 or the playoffs.
