Ah, so we were talking about different plays. Fair enough. No need for the idiot comment though.
Sorry for the comment. I was just a little annoyed because I saw a couple of other comments elsewhere before yours about how Dez gave a lackluster effort on the block and got in Murray's way, so I thought I had to clear that up. To me, it should have been a touchdown or a much larger gain of yardage if he had just stayed his course on that play. Didn't know you were talking about another one.

Wow.Haven't seen the video but difficult to imagine how he doesn't score a TD from there!
Honestly, I think he was gassed. This was the play where he was caught behind the line a couple of times and reversed direction.
That was my thought as well, I have Murray as one of my main backs and was screaming go go go as I thought he should be fast enough to get that, but was kinda shocked he didn't have that speedto blow by those guy's, then remembered all the stuff he did prior to that breakout an figured he mayjust be getting tired at that point and not much gas left.If that's Chris Johnson I woulda said he was gone, I'm not sure how the 2 compare speed wise butI thought Murray was a burner and should rip that off, am I wrong is Murray suppose to be that fast?(or probably just out of gas) ?

I know it's only 1 game, but DeMarco Murray looked every bit a 1st round fantasy running back tonight. Great speed, but also some tough, determined running to turn 1/2 yarders into 4/5 yarders. Also telling that Jones didn't get a single touch, so they obviously view Murray as a cowbell back.

Just a shame he didn't cap it off by hitting the endzone. He probably would have done if Dez Bryant had bothered trying to get out of his way in the 2nd half.
You're an idiot. Dez was blocking and Murray had plenty of space to run down, but made a stupid cut.
Good debating skills. Well done. The way I saw it Murray was setting up the defender with a little shimmy and then Bryant just ran straight across his path. Bryant definitely wasn't blocking anyone, as you can see here.

Now you could argue that Murray should have seen him coming, but Dez just appeared to be paying little attention to anything.
Yeah. I got the feeling that Murray felt Dez alongside him and was trying to dip back in behind him to get to the sideline. But it looked to me like Dez was loafing and didn't come up hard and fast to engage the DB like Murray was expecting. I too thought Dez looked like he wasn't really aware of what was going on. Instead, Dez kind helped corral Murray in.As for the long run, I thought Murray's cut back inside looked awkward. But it may be that he doesn't have a lot of confidence in Dez as a downfield blocker. Blocking in space can be a tricky thing. Being there is only half the battle. You can just as easily jam up the guy you are blocking for as you can spring him for more yards. To me it looked like Murray thought he was going to get squeezed on the sideline and was just trying to break something loose by cutting back inside. At that point he may have thought an inside cut might spring him for the TD while straight ahead was just going to force him out of bounds after another 5-10 yards.

It may just be coincidence, but Dez was involved in both those plays.

Good grief what was Dez suppose to do? Pick him up and carry him into the end zone?

I agree, the comment had no place on the forum. Here's a screen shot I grabbed of the moment just before Murray cut it back: http://pic.twitter.com/SN3JDCjB
And your title to that pic underscores my question. Does Murray not trust Dez as a blocker? This could break two ways or be a combination. Is Murray bad at setting up blocks downfield or is Dez bad at blocking downfield? Or, as someone else suggested, maybe Murray was gassed after reversing direction and escaping the backfield and knew he was going to get run out of bounds against the sideline and so was gambling rather than taking what he knew would come.

I wonder if he knew who was in front of him blocking. These guys move so fast, my guess is that most of the players are a blur of gray and blue jerseys.

I don't get why people keep questioning Dez's blocking ability just cause of Murray's stupid cut. ANY blocking is better than no blocking. Seriously the next defender wasn't in front of Dez at all, if Dez went to block the guy next to him it would have been a block in the back. And the second Murray cut over, he was tackled immediately. It looked like a TD, might not have been a TD, but he still could have gained more yardage than he did. Lapse of judgement/vision by Murray in my opinion. Either that or he got confused with all the blue and white around him and forgot which was his team.
