Week 1 WW gems (1 Viewer)

Mark Clayton was targeted 16 times, and caught 10 for 119 yds. Obviously has something going with Bradford. And every year, there's that free agent receiver who comes out of the gates flying and doesn't look back (Miles Austin last year, etc.). I'm putting in a WW request for Clayton this week. Probably gonna drop Manningham... maybe Driver instead.

Don't you find it odd that he had that many looks for only being with the team for 1 week?

Miles Austin didn't come out of the gates flying. Miles Austin had 5 catches for 81 yards in his first 4 weeks combined. Now, you want a good example of a guy who came out of the gates flying, check out the early-season stat line for that Manningham fellow you're about to drop. 13/208/2 over his first two games.

Matt Hassleback might be a good pickup, He looked terriffic today and might might have had even better numbers had they not had such a lead early. He had 3 tds and again looked very good against one of footballs better defenses.. very good QB2 and injury fill in.

Did anybody watch Freeman? Ive got a hard on for this guy as a project b/up.
I was at the game and it seemed like he didn't have enough zip on the ball. The TD pass to MW was behind him and a few others were bad as well. He may just be rusty having not practiced much the past few weeks.

True. But every year it seems there's that WR in free agency who has a big game in early weeks, and I say to myself... "eh, he just had a good game".... but sure enough someone in my league picks the guy up and he goes on to put up 1000+ yds and 10 tds. Doesn't this happen alot or is it just me?

It happens a lot, yes, but most of the time it's just a guy having a big game, like Mario Manningham or Mohammad Massaquoi last year.
