Week 10 - Jets vs Patriots (1 Viewer)

In other news, it was reported that Jet's fan, Fireman Ed, was found weeping at a turnpike plaza and refused to move his truck from the plaza untill the Jets released Mark Sanchez.

Pats record at the end of the regular season? Will be 6-3 after tonight . . .

Kansas City

at Philadelphia

Indianapolis

at Washington

at Denver

Miami

Buffalo

"Worst decision in the history of football." - Rex Ryan

(maybe he was talking about drafting Sanchez and not just the time out call?)

Bet Rex curses dirty sanchez out in meetings and practice this week. They should start Fireman Ed at QB and tailback next week. He usually seems good and fired up and ready to go.

Patriots came into tonight giving up an average of 314 passing yards per game. The worst passing defense in NFL history was the 95 Falcons who gave up 284 passing yards per game. So the Patriots were on pace to take over the worst spot by 30 yards per game.

In order to avoid that they needed to give up less than 252 average yards per game in their 8 remaining games, including tonight. The Jets have so far passed for 249.

Jets fans should take solace in the fact that Sanchez averaged 15yds/completion, to Brady's 12.5

..... Or something like that.

I'm not very good at compassion.

I don't think the tiebreak will be a factor. The Pats will win this division with a better record than the Steelers.
Likely with their schedule, but I dont know. PHI and BUF will be tough games for NE. PIT has SF and CIN and they rest iis just as easy as NE's. Considering BAL has lost to SEA and JAX, needed a desperation win vs ARZ, and still plays SF/CINx2/SD, PIT could reasonably win their division despite 2 losses to BAL

Belichick likes a bend-but-don't-break defense, especially with young / inexperienced guys. So Bill would tell you yards per game doesn't matter. He just doesn't want to give up touchdowns. The Patriots are currently at 18.54 yards-allowed-per-point, which is actually pretty good. Usually super bowl teams are 20+, and the Patriots are almost there. Their yards-per-point is at 15, which is very good.
