i start all three in my main leagueTell me about it. In one league I'm starting Steeler D and Housh. In the other I'm starting Parker.bengals o vs steelers d in bad weatherI thought it was a no brainer1 f'in sack![]()
There is such a thing as trading up. The Panthers did a nice job of it and scooped Otah from us. Raise your hand if you'd rather have Otah right now over Davenport/Sweed.Yeah, by the time it got to the Steelers, any O-Lineman taken would have been 2-3 rounds too early. They were all snapped up.And for all of you who wanted them to go and get Cherilus, ask his fans how they like him...So glad we didn't waste those 2 first round picks on offensive linemen this year.

- FWP and The defense. Sheesh. I got like 5 points with the D.At least I benched Housh. I need MOMO to step up again. Or I'm rolling with Hillis in the playoffs :ugh:Weren't you the one pimping Gosder Cherilus the whole offseason? They weren't trading up into the top 15 (would have cost too much in $ and trade price). Unfortunately, I see the same scenario playing out this year too. I'm thinking that a safety looks like the best value in late round one for the Steelers this yearThere is such a thing as trading up. The Panthers did a nice job of it and scooped Otah from us. Doubt the Cal center makes it to our pick, but there may be a guard still on the board too. Sorry, no tackles.I was advocating for any OL, which included Cherilus. I didn't have any particular preference for Cherilus, didn't know much about him at all...but I was adamantly in favor of him over say...Kentwan Balmer who many suggested would be our pick...or the LB that Jax took...Weren't you the one pimping Gosder Cherilus the whole offseason? I, personally was hoping for Jenkins (CB that Dallas took) but was very excited to see M'hall fall to Pitts. I would have taken either, and no, I wasn't for Balmer. So far, of course, I have been unimpressed with M'hall, but I had seen enough of Cherilus to believe that he wouldn't have been an upgrade at any O line spot and was not worth paying a contract to, let alone to move up to get him. Sometimes, what you need most isn't available or the sacrifice is too much for the return to go out and get it. No Steeler fans were saying that we should address a different position over O line, but that if the value wasn't there, there were other spots that could work out too. I think Sweed may still turn out to be a good pick. He's still making a lot of rookie mistakes, but he will be a big upgrade over Washington by next year and he may turn out good enough to be Ward's eventual replacement. Parker is likely gone after next year, and M'hall could end up looking like a steal in 2010. No, the Steelers aren't going to the Super Bowl with this O-line, but they couldn't have drafted anybody this year that would have made that difference.I was advocating for any OL, which included Cherilus. Yes, well, sometimes need DOES dictate. This year they'll be losing at least two starters from a piss-poor offensive line. They won't have the luxury to take the BPA. They HAVE TO take OL/DL with top picks. Cherilus may not be tearing it up, but he's better than Tony Hills. Next year, they have to take the 'Cherilus' over the 'Mendenhall'Cookiemonster said:I, personally was hoping for Jenkins (CB that Dallas took) but was very excited to see M'hall fall to Pitts. there's some small part of me that wants the Steelers to go RB/WR/P/TE next year with the first four picks jsut so we can witness your meltdown.Yes, well, sometimes need DOES dictate.
