Week 12 Injury thread (1 Viewer)

,Nov 27 2005, 12:39 PM]Larry Johnson comes out of the game after going down akwardly on his left knee (bent under his thigh)

Looked bad but he came out under his own power...

Who's the backup in KC?
There's no reason to believe LJ is injured.
 You obviously didn't see the play. I'm an LJ owner and I'm nervous right now.
I did see the play. I paid attention after the play too when LJ had no problem getting up.LJ is back in the game on the Chiefs next drive.

Did you see the play? I would NOT be surprised to find out he's got a strain in that knee... it was bent completely back under his body as he went down with the weight of another guy on him.

Yes... he got up and seemed to be fine but that's one of those things that the player can hide until the game is over if it's not completely blown out.

He's probably fine but immediately after the play it certainly was unnerving

Brandon Jones Season in Question:Titans receiver Brandon Jones injured his knee prior to halftime and fell to the ground awkwardly while he attempted to turn back for a pass. He was not on the sideline at the start of the third quarter, and a team spokesman told the Associated Press that Jones sprained his right knee and his return questionable. Jones missed a game last month with a sprain in the same knee so obviously this has become a significant concern. We'd be surprised if there weren't further examinations before a timeline for recovery is established. That said, the typical timeline for a knee sprain would sideline him 2-to-4 weeks, putting his season in question.

2-10-TEN 46 (2:44) K.Dorsey pass to T.Jackson to TEN 38 for 8 yards (P.Sirmon, K.Bulluck). TEN #91 T. Laboy is injured on the play.

Leftwich has left the game with a lower leg injury...Garrard is in. Leftwich could hardly stand up. He got hi-lowed earlier in the game. Looked like his right knee was stiffening up on him.

He has his left shoe off and is limping severly. They are saying it is a left ankle sprain.

I did hear that the trainers are going to try and get him back in the game however.

I think it was more the blow he took to the thigh on that play.He didn't limp off and actually waived off Dee Brown.

He did run the ball a few times after that and didn't show any sign of injury.

Sweeet...that takes my starting QB in each of my big money leagues out in the first quarter.

Guys, please keep this thread injury related.I don't mean to sound like a #####, but no one cares about your specific fantasy team. Thanks,e

1-10-GB 40 (14:21) (Shotgun) B.Favre pass incomplete to B.Franks (B.Dawkins).GB-B.Franks was injured during the play. His return is Doubtful.

Manning to Shockey touchdown...He must be ok...
Shockey got drilled on that play and they reviewed it to see if his second foot touched in the endzone before he lost the ball. H ealso came down hard on a long pass play before that that set up the aTD, Afte the TD, Shockey had the wind knocked out of him and was slow to leave the endzone. I think he's fine but he came in this week banged up and only caught 1 pass last week and was used mainly as a decoy.

He's gutting it out, playing hard, and playing well. Stil, you never know if a real hard hit couldsend him out of the game. Not to panic anybody, just tought it should be mentioned he's banged up a lttle. Glad I started him this week.

Thanks for the update Teach, good info...

Why was Shockey just being attended to on the sidelines?
Was being stretched out by Trainer. Was on his back and lifting up with legs. Then did some stretch looked like for quads. Who knows? Like I said, he's banged up However he was in the game right after it and had a pass thrown to him.

local newspaper by me said Martin hurt his eye and had blurred vision, not the concussion mentioned here. Which is correct?

he strained his eye from watching himself lose his job and probably his career.

PFSi Arizona reported that K Neil Rackers left practice today after injuring his calf.Insight: Rackers was scheduled to have tests run on his calf and was seen on crutches at the Cardinals training facility. Owners will want to move quickly finding a replacement for fantasy football's top place kicker this season. It looks unlikely he [Rackers] will play Sunday and will be listed as questionable on today's injury report. (TonyFinn/PFSi)
