Week 12 Waiver Wire (1 Viewer)

Kaepernick, if no one picked him up already. Lighting up the Bears in the air, and can run. I'm sold.
Even with Smith expected back? No indications out there that Smith is out long term.
Dude, are you watching this game? He might not get the job back. Kap is carving the Bears up in the air, and he hasn't even shown alot of his running ability. Gruden fawning over him FWIW, but I really like what I see here.

When Smith is healthy, he will be starting again.Coming off an NFC championship and 19-5-1 in his last 25 games started. It's not happening. Not yet.

Fair point, but Kap is just looking so good, I don't see how it isn't at least a discussion. If he gets another week to show his stuff vs. NO, sky's the limit and he at least forces the question.

With the exception of Hillman seems like a lot of fool's gold this week. Blackmon is a speculative pickup but is a headcase - Cecil Shorts seems to be the safest optino at WR if he is still out there.

Not sure if the Jags will committ to Parmele 100% - Jennings has always been their guy after MJD.

they've been clearly moving away week by week from Jennings. His snap count has steadily gone down aand last week was essentially replaced.

I wish we knew how much longer MJD was going to be out. If Parmele looks good against the Titans, how do they not keep feeding him the ball going forward?

I think they would as long as MJD is out. But like you said, MJD's status is the huge unknown here. I think Parmele's a nice pickup for this week but he's risky in terms of long-term expectations. But if you're just going week-to-week I think he's well worth grabbing this week.

So who are you guys going after?

Hillman, starter out for a while, but potential committee.

or

Bryce Brown, starter might be out one week, but has the looks of a 3 down back.

I'm dropping Alex Green. The good news is thanks to so many new committees forming plus injuries there are a lot of RBs available on my league's WW who could carry some value in PPR. Hillman's my top choice but if you're strapped at RB this looks like a good week to find something of at least reasonable value on the WW.

In the short term (next 2 weeks) would you rather have Alexander or Hillman as a flex? I feel like Hillman is a better stash if you've clinched a playoff spot and are just trying to hope for a breakout player. I feel like Alexander is more of a contribute now kind of player for those people still trying to make playoffs. Agree? Disagree?

Felix Jones has been downgraded, so Dunbar or Tanner??? :

Felix Jones (knee) was downgraded to a missed practice on Tuesday after participating on a limited basis Monday.

Jones is tentatively expected to start versus the Redskins, but we wouldn't feel confident about placing him in fantasy lineups just yet. Despite undergoing a knee "procedure" of his own on Monday, Lance Dunbar was back at practice splitting first-team reps with Phillip Tanner. DeMarco Murray (foot) is still not practicing and is not expected to play on Thursday.

Hillman then Parmele.. Brown after that.
Is Parmale also just a 1 week plug?

The Fact that Parmele took carries from a healthy Jennings last week at least gives the short term indication if MJD continues to miss that the Jaguars have made the decision on who's going to get the work load. I'd assume if Parmele does well Sunday that at the least he'll be #2 on the depth chart(if MJD returns) and who knows what to expect once Jones-Drew comes back, if at all. Least worth a stash. The schedule also looks pretty favorable for at least a couple of flex starts. 12 Ten 13 @Buf 14 NYJ 15 @Mia 16 NE 17 @Ten

why is bilal powell an option? greene actually looked decent today and both powells tds came on third down in passing downs
True, plus I think Powell got more work than usual due to the short week. Rex probably didn't want to overwork Greene with the Thanksgiving Day game versus the Pats.
This article makes it sound like Powells slice of the pie is going to be more than just a one week thing. Plus he is getting GL carries. Then again, it could just be coachspeak.http://espn.go.com/blog/new-york/jets/post/_/id/17977/jets-looking-to-rotate-at-rb
