Week 13 2025 who should I start thread **OFFICIALLY UNOFFICIAL** (5 Viewers)

Looking for flex in a .5 ppr

Vele @ Mia (if Olave is out)
Jeudy vs SF
B Thomas Jr @ Ten (full practice)
Fannin v SF (was seriously considering, but Njoku back)

Thx

In ppr, I currently have a 75% chance of winning. I've used one player and my opponent has used three, so I'm leaning toward taking the higher floor plays this week, but my options at certain spots are not great.

RB 2-
Knight @ Tampa Bay
Charbonnet vs Minn
Tuten @ Tennessee

Flex-
Harrison Jr (assuming he plays) @ Tampa
Metcalf vs Buffalo
(Or a leftover RB from above)

QB-
D. Jones vs Houston
or one of the options on waivers:
Lawrence @ Tennessee
Stroud @ Indy
(Adding a QB from waivers would mean dropping one of my lottery ticket RBs (likely Corum), and my RB options are pretty bad, so I am inclined to hold the tickets unless Jones is going to get killed by the Texans.

Thanks!

Tough calls all around here, especially since im going to advocate benching Danny Jones (sorry).

At RB, i think your safest play is Charbs, he should get you a TD. Next would be Tuten in a positive match-up against TEN. I cant trust any Cardinals RB right now, especially coming east on the road.

Charbs/Tuten/Bam

WR? I go DK here. Maybe Harrison plays, but the Bucs have a good pass defense and hes still healing from surgery - he doesn't strike me as a "dog" .. I'd wait to see him healthy before rolling him out.

QB's .... did you see what Houston did to Josh Allen last week? Or any of the other QB;s they've faced? yea, i worry about Danny Dimes this week. Already reported he's working with a fracture in his leg.

So yea, youve got to make a drop for a QB. Trevor has the better match up, but Stroud may have the better outlook ROS. I would probably lean Lawrence slightly. I know it sucks to drop one of your insurance RB's, but at this point i would be super worried about Danny Jones going forward - probably time to pick the QB that your most comfortable with ROS

How are you guys feeling about Bucky? I'm starting him a the moment - but here are my options:

Bucky v ARZ
Michael Pittman v HOU

Also have a gross TE dilemma, TEP

Taysom HIll @ MIA
Darren Waller @ NO (if he plays)
Njoku v SF

Thanks bros

STD league could use some help with 2 of these:

Quinton Johnston v LV
BTJ @ TEN
Darius Slayton @ NE
Boutte v NYG

Also have Neal and Bucky, but im starting them - unless you guys like the options above better.

Thanks. I might just make Jones the drop. I’ve got Daniels stashed on the bench and maybe he’ll become an option for me or I can stream to the end.

Gotta monitor wind in Cleveland.

Even then, I hate to admit this but, BTJ may be the call here.

Trust Shedeur in bad weather or Shough without his two best players?

BTJ>Jeudy>Vele>Fannin

With Bucky apparently playing vs the cardinals, do you start him over Marvin if he plays vs the Bucs and Troy Franklin vs Washington?
I just need the one flex - already going with Bijan, JSN, Rome and Jamo.

Zonovan will probably see more touches than Charb & Tuten but, it's not a good matchup and, he's been objectively terrible (3.1 ypc, 6.6 ypr).

All three of these guys are low floor with modest ceiling. I probably back the guy on the team I think wins easiest and, because the rookie QB in MIN is a complete unknown I think I lean

Tuten>Charbs>Knight
=============================================

What a disappointing season for DK. I think I lean MHJ here because he has a QB that is unafraid to target the same guy 15 times/game. I don't know how the pie is distributed with MHJ & Wilson on the field at the same time but, I assume MHJ will bump Wilson from the X spot.

MHJ>DK
========================================

In a vacuum I would start Lawrence over the others here. Jones could get killed by the Texans. He's apparently hobbled and the whispers are he has a fractured fibula (UNCONFIRMED). That's a bad thing against that defense. I expect the Colts will try to hammer JT and pass as little as possible but, who knows?

As far as dropping a lotto RB, that changes things for you but, I can't really put a value on it. I like Corum a lot if something happens to Kyren. If Corum starts you're looking at 89 yards and 0.8 TD/game which, is nice. I guess the decision depends on whether the rest of your roster is good enough to carry you through this week with a subpar QB performance. Say...180-1-1 or so.

I imagine your opponent had at least a couple guys play in the four games already played.

Bucky v ARZ

Taysom HIll @ MIA

I probably roll with Bucky over Pittman. It seems the Bucs have been extra careful in bringing him back so, maybe he's truly healthy... maybe. Pittman has as tough a matchup as they come and his QB may be hobbled.

Bucky>Pittman
=====================================

Yup, that's a dilemma. I think I lean Taysom here. Waller is limited and Njoku has a suspect QB and bad weather. The Saints have a good matchup and Taysom is as much a RB as anything with Kamara out. If he is going to put up one of his trademark 3 TD monsters this season (that's a BIG IF) this week looks like a great opportunity.

Taysom>Waller>Njoku

STD league could use some help with 2 of these:

Quinton Johnston v LV
BTJ @ TEN
Darius Slayton @ NE
Boutte v NYG

Also have Neal and Bucky, but im starting them - unless you guys like the options above better.
So, you need two of these guys?

I probably go with QJ and BTJ. They are the most physically talented, they have the best matchups and, they both are big play guys. Since it's not-ppr those are the traits I prefer.

Slayton would be third for me IF Jameis starts. If Dart starts I lean Boutte third

QJ>BTJ>Slayton/Boutte

I play Bucky over any of them. Neal? I'm not terribly impressed with and think his ceiling is modest in non-PPR format. I put him behind

Bucky>QJ>BTJ>Neal>Slayton/Boutte

With Bucky apparently playing vs the cardinals, do you start him over Marvin if he plays vs the Bucs and Troy Franklin vs Washington?
I just need the one flex - already going with Bijan, JSN, Rome and Jamo.
I like Franklin this week. He gets volume and it's a good matchup. I am okay with MHJ too because Brissett will feed his #1 a lot (assuming MHJ is still the #1).

But, I probably risk it with Bucky if he's playing. It's a big risk but, it seems the Bucs have been very cautious with his recovery so, if he's playing hopefully that means he's healthy.

Bucky>Franklin>MHJ

PPR league. Pick One:

* A. Pierce vs HOU -- Tough matchup. Jones banged up. Had a tough matchup last week and didn't fair well either.

* P. Washington @TN -- Good matchup, but BTJ back along with Strange. Maybe BTJ takes a back seat his first week back.

* G. Dortch @TB -- Has had six receptions and TDs in consecutive weeks with MHJ out. Just reported that there is a "solid chance" Harrison plays.

* C. Rodriguez vs DEN -- Not a great matchup. Could be lead dog in a committee.

Which?

Thanks

Just had some PARKER House rolls on Turkey Day
so...
Washington

Defense

ATL @ NYJ
LAR @ CAR

Have the Falcons in ATM because they are really getting after the QB lately.

Probably can't go wrong with either. Both are on the road, slightly prefer LAR. They will probably be up 21-0 before half time and that could lead to turnovers once Young goes into pass mode.

Late QB dilemma with Mayfield trending towards playing (but high chance of re-injury imo)

Purdy @ Browns (least favorite option)
or
Mayfield vs Cardinals
or
Brissett @ Bucs

or pick up Lawrence @ Titans?

I don't like a hobbled Jones to have time to unlock Pierce against that defense. Feels like a JT, Warren, Pittman game.

If MHJ is back, Dortch falls to 4th in the rotation.

Hate the Denver matchup.

Jax most likely to put up 30 points so

Washington>Rodriguez>Pierce>Dortch

If MHJ is out, it's close between Dortch and Parker.

Probably lean

Washington>Dortch>Rodriguez>Pierce>

If Bucky starts I play him
Marvin will draw a lot of attention IF he plays
Franklin may be dealing with weather and I think The Commies will play well off their bye at home in Prime Time

That's tough. I think I would go towards Dortch if MHJ sits and Washington if MHJ plays.

Johnston is boom or bust but he's going to boom it's this week against The Raiders at home
The maybe Boutte against The Giants

I think Brissett has shown enough to trust him against a pass funnel Bucs defense if you have more questionable options. Baker is a fine choice but, he has been just a little more uneven lately.

Lawrence could have a strong game but, the Jags could also run the Titans off the field.

Brissett>Lawrence>Mayfield>Purdy

Got this one

Need ONE of the following:

A. Jones @ Sea

D. Samuel vs Den

D. Mooney @ NYJ

O. Gadsen vs LAV

Leaning Gadsen...convince me or talk me out of it

@Joe Bryant FYI the Game Day Inactives page is not live yet.

Thanks. As @Clayton Gray noted, the Game Day Inactives page https://www.footballguys.com/subscribers/sundayupdate was live yesterday as normal. We post inactive players as soon as they're available. Usually about 75 minutes before game time.

The Weekly Page listing all our features for the Week https://www.footballguys.com/article/2025-landing-page-fantasy-football-dfs-week-13 is here and also has a link to the Game Day page and that link yesterday was delayed in being activated.
Apologies in advance for being persnickety but...

Is the game day inactive thread a separate link on the home page? It used to be but, I only see it in the weekly features page now and, it wasn't live there until shortly before (or was it shortly after?) kickoff of the GB @ DET game.

Personally I view it as, perhaps the most important Sunday feature on the site. Obviously, I have bias there because of the WDIS.

It's the same link every week. https://www.footballguys.com/gameday-updates

Probably best to just bookmark that link.

You can also get to it from the main horizontal navigation bar by clicking "Tools" and then under the Fantasy In Season column, clicking Gameday Updates.
I got it the first time JB.

You indirectly answered my question: No, the game day inactives page is no longer a separate and distinct link on the home page. Probably for longer than I realized.

I will make adjustments accordingly.

Thanks. And that was a direct answer. ;)

I agree with you, it's a very important page. We put a lot of focus on getting that right.

Mooney is an interesting option but, with FFPC scoring I think Gadsden is worth the risk.

Gadsden>Mooney>Deebo>Jones

PPR league, need one RB

RJ Harvey @ WAS or Devin Neal @ MIA

Right now I have Neal in. When Kamara got hurt last week, Neal got 7 targets and 5 receptions. So it seems like he has a safe PPR floor. I'm afraid he'll lose red zone carries to Taysom or Estime. But Miami has a terrible rush D. The unknown is, how much will NO use their 2nd and 3rd string RBs? Last week gave no clues because only Kamara and Neal were active.

Harvey is Denver's "#1," but Sean Payton likes to rotate in multiple RBs. Washington's rush D isn't great, either, but they can be attacked through the air even more. So I don't think Denver will just pound the rock even if they're winning. Harvey has proven this year to be a threat catching passes, too.

Desperate for a must-win in a 14 team desert of awfulness.

4 points per passing TD

Daniel Jones vs The Texans who made Josh Allen look like NYG Daniel Jones

or

Sam Darnold vs. Min

somewhat related . . .

pick on in ppr

Alec Pierce vs The Texans

or

BTJr. @ Ten

or

O. Gadsden vs. LV
