Week 15 Questions for Bloom (1 Viewer)

Hey Bloom --I'm lucky to be playing for the finals this week --- and now with Rawl's performance in a hole and playing the top team so need some upside

Non PPR --

Questions:

QB -- need one: Stafford or Bradford (Flacco and Siemian are also available)

RB 2 - need one: Ware, Farrow,  D. Lewis, C. Sims

WR -going with AB and Dez (also have Smiff and Thielen)

Flex  - Any of the above not picked for WR /RB

Def -- MIA or SD (HOU, OAK, Bmore, NYG also available)

thanks!

Std scoring, 4 pt passing TD

Question 1-Pick 1

Luck@ min (I have TY too so concerned about having too many guys against elite defense, Min hasnt given up a 20 pt fantasy day yet this year)

Flacco v. Eagle (read a stat flacco is terrible against blitz and eagles blitz a lot)

Eli v. Lion (Lion D has shut down QB;s of late, eli has been poop too)

Question 2

I'm bullish on JJ Nelson, is he startable over cooks in 0.5ppr?  breaux is out for saint

Question 3

I dont quite buy in to the narrative that jordan reed will play enough to be productive with his banged up shoulder.  Picked up Clay @ clevand but is Vernon Davis the bestr play assuming a similar snap count as last week?  Surprised how high Reed is ranked considering the injury and last week usage

Hey Sig -- thanks for the help.

Two questions about my injured mess of a team as I head into a semifinals matchup (0.25 PPR, 5 point per passing TD)

Rivers/Tyrod + AJG/Thomas/Watkins/Inman/Moncrief/Inman/Thielen/Anderson/JJ Nelson + DJ/Blount/Sims + Gresham

  1. Rivers or Tyrod?
  2. AJG & Moncrief look like sits. Thomas will be hard to trust with an injury, afternoon game, and a potential Patrick Peterson matchup. Do you agree? That means I'm starting Watkins, Inman, Thielen, Robby Anderson and JJ Nelson!

Hi Sig,

In the semi's going up against the Aaron Rodgers and Le'Veon Bell owner, so there are some potential big guns aligned against me. My hope is that Bell doesn't get 38 carries again (he can't, can he?), and that the bitter cold and wind in Chicago can put the brakes on Rodgers a bit.

Anyway, my dilemma revolves around my running backs, who are all pretty tightly bunched in most peoples projections. I have Jeremy Hill, Carlos Hyde, and Jordan Howard. My initial thought was to leave Howard on the bench, mainly because of your "rational coaching" theory...which I don't think the Bears have (Bears fan here)...case in point being they only gave Howard 13 carries last week. Only 25 fewer than Bell got.

I'm not sure if you factor in weather conditions when you make your projections early in the week, or if you think the weather conditions in Chicago could force both teams to run more than usual, and in Bears case against a stacked box because they have Matt Barkley and not Aaron Rodgers. Or if you think in cold that extreme that everyone may be moving in slow motion. I see you have Hill ranked highest of the 3 because of the higher possibility of a TD, so my guess would be that Hill would be in for you and it boils down to a gut feeling on Howard vs Hyde.

Anyway, this is a long drawn out way of asking, given the likely weather conditions in Chicago, which two of these 3 would you go with?

Thanks for all you do, and I'm a big fan of all the guys on the audible hangouts, which I try to never miss.

Have a great weekend, and of course...Stay Classy!

Salutations, Bloom!

My opponent has Le'Veon Bell and we are projected to be almost dead even.

I'm considering starting Big Ben over:

Palmer vs NO

Kaepernick @ ATL

Bradford vs IND

Smith vs TEN

or should I reconsider?

Also, PPR:

CJ Fedorowicz vs JAX

Gresham vs NO

Doyle @ MIN

Hi Sig,

I think I need some upside against my opponent this week in a standard league with IDPs. With that in mind:

1. Luck or Mariota (who has the higher floor and ceiling, respectively)

2. Need 2 WRs and a Flex: Edelman, Diggs, T. Hill, Dixon, D. Jackson

My starters:

  • Mariota/Luck
  • McCoy
  • Coleman
  • Flex (Dixon?)
  • T. Hill
  • D. Jackson (or Edelman/Diggs?)
  • Eifert
  • Burfict
  • Mack
  • Neal
  • Vinatieri
His lineup:

  • Roethlisberger/Stafford
  • D. Johnson
  • Rawls (Thursday bust)
  • J. Hill
  • TY Hilton
  • Sanders (maybe Rishard Matthews)
  • Rudolph
  • Poz
  • Cam Jordan
  • McDougald
  • Sturgis

What do you think Sig? TD heavy league. Need 2 as RB's and one as a flex. It's crunch time! You think Ware is ranked too high? Is he an avoid or simply right in the middle of a flex type option? I mean it's really crunch time with players like Blount, Ware, Miller, Powell, Dixon, and Coleman into the mix. Where do you think Ware ranks with these guys? Somewhere in the middle? Need three. And who's your close 4th of the bunch? ;)

12-team standard. I'd say I'm an underdog, but the opponent has Julio and Powell. He got 9 pts from Baldwin and I can see how Powell does on Saturday to gauge how big of a hole we got.

RB2: Ware vs Gillislee

FLEX: Ware/Gillislee vs Thielen, Malcom Mitchell, Dion Lewis, Devontae Booker, Justin Forsett.

Thanks for the input!!

got 3 questions for ya, Sig:

1. better kicker (yes, kicker) this week: Vinatieri or Bryant?

2. Need help with my WR2 (already got screwed on Rawls at my flex, so kinda need some upside) - NON-PPR:

  • Tyrell Williams
  • Diggs
  • Gabriel (juts got the alert that Julio has been ruled out)
  • Nuk
  • Thielen (on ww)
3. Help with my QB...6pts for all TD's:

  • Luck (in lineup as of now)
  • Mariota (on bench)
  • Flacco (on ww)
thanks in advance

1.  PPR league, please choose 2 WR:

S. Watkins vs Browns (possible high winds)

J. Matthews at Ravens (no Jimmy Smith, no Sproles, Ravens tough against TE and RB)

M. Thomas at Cardinals (will Peterson cover Cooks or Thomas)

2.  D/ST -

Buccaneers - on a roll

Lions - possible sloppy weather

Bears - 0 degree weather with Rodgers hurting

Points for turnovers and yards allowed, not for points allowed.

Thanks.

Bloom,

Any concerns about the cold weather in Chicago? I've got to start 3 WR (PPR) and have the following options to choose from: Jordy, Alshon, Montgomery, Taylor Gabriel, Tyrell Williams, Golden Tate. Which 3 of those would you roll with? Thanks!

Have a WR and Flex Issue (non-ppr - 1/10 rush/rec) need 2 of the 4:

WR Alshon Jeffrey - hate the cold and the fact he's been out 4 weeks

WR Robbie Anderson - like the chemistry but have a hard time trusting Petty

RB Kenneth Dixon - will they actually run the ball more than 12 times?

RB/WR Ty Montgomery - real cold means run the ball more?

one more bonus option. I also have AP. If he actually does play do I start him?

Thanks so much!

Thanks so much for your help throughout the year and the service you provide.

One win away from championship game thus I have a few dilemmas/questions.....

QB Brees or Carr (Leaning Carr).

They are both on the road and Brees in a dome but off two bad games and AZ D @ home I am reluctant whereas I hope/think SD v OAK will be a shootout although Carr had a poor showing last week but I think weather conditions and the cold were a major factor) 4pts/TD throwing, 6pts/td running, 1pt/25 yds passing and bonus at 300 yds passing + bonus for TD passes over 30 yds.

***EDIT - I was leaning Carr but as of now, Crab and Cooper questionable.....

WR pick 3 of the following: Tyrell Williams, Sammy Watkins, Dontrelle Inman, Brandon Marshall, Randall Cobb or Marquise Lee

Leaning Williams, Watkins and ?.  Would you even consider starting two WR from the same team (Willams/Inman?)  6pts/TD, PPR, 1pt/10 yds receiving, bonus for TD yardage over 30 yards.

TE: Delanie or Gates?

Leaning Delanie and as per above, could you possibly contemplate starting 3 players (2WR and a TE) from the same team?

Also, was able to pick up Adrian Peterson.  Not even thinking of starting and want to see what he does with hopes that if enough, can start him in Championship....if I get there but rolling with Jordan Howard and Spencer Ware this week...it's all I got @ RB.

Thank You.  Happy Holidays!

Hey there Bloom, this is a half PPR league, below is who I currently have starting.

QB: Brady

RB: Shady

RB: S Ware

WR: TY Hilton

WR: Tyrell Williams

WR:  Alshon Jeffrey

Flex:  Kenneth Farrow

Have Tyrod on bench, can also acquire Kaep.  Are either worth starting over Brady in your opinion?

Also have on the bench Inman, ARob, and Gillislee.  Would you replace any of the starters with those 3?

Okay need some lineup help in two leagues. I'm going up against two good teams so will need to score points. Might need to take some risks. Thanks!

QBs:

1.  Brady or Winston

2.  Brady or Stafford

WRs:

Pick 3

Watkins, Arob, Fitz, Coleman, Mitchell

TE

Bennett or Ertz

Defense

Vikings or Texans

Standard scoring..

Facing the Bell/McCoy/Cousins owner..

Mariota @ KC or Big Ben @ CIN?

Reed vs CAR or Gates vs OAK?

Vinatieri @ MIN or Santos vs TEN?

Vikings vs IND or GB @ CHI?

:bag:

Thank you!

Thanks again Bloom!

My QB decision is driving me crazy!  3pt per pass TD, 6pts for Rush TD 1pt per rush yd and 1pt per 25yds pass.  I have Luck vs Minny but can start Kaep, Taylor or Flacco. I really am not feeling Luck this week as he might literally get killed vs Minny.  Love Kaep but my brain tells me no but the match-up tells me yes.  What the hell do I do?

Then I have a WR question in a STD league.  Starting TY Hilton vs Minny and have Crowder vs Car. and Gabriel vs SF (I'm starting Freeman so is it bad to start both?) but I also have Matthews at Balt., Eiffert vs Pitt and Inman vs Oak. should I replace anyone with one of my bench WR's?

Thanks!

Hey Sig in ten team standard

At qb Jamies, Colin k, dak, flacco or Alex Smith? Who is safest and who is highest ceiling?

Need one rb and one flex from jj Nelson, Rob Kelley, Kenneth Farrow, t west, Malcolm Mitchel, Robby Anderson, Cameron Meredith, Dixon, or hightower?

And at te, Bennett, Reed, or gresham?

Thanks Sig!

0.5 PPR

RB Howard or Powell - leaning Powell, especially if Forte doesn't go

WR Watkins or Tyrell Williams - leaning Williams mainly for better weather

Thanks!

Can't believe I am even asking this, but here goes.  12 team league, standard scoring, which QB should I start?  Thank you and Happy Holidays!!!

Team #1 -  Roll with Brees

Or start Stafford

Team #2 - Roll with Brees

Or start Bradford or Siemian

Bloom,

I've been cursed by the fantasy gods with several injuries this past week (Stafford and Tannehill).

Here's my dilemma, I need to pick a flex and feel I have over analyzed the scenarios and need some fresh perspective

We have 2 flex spots and one of those can be a QB.  Normally, it would be a no brainer, but Stafford's finger and poor weather in NY has me worried.

Here's the specifics.

PPR league with scoring bonus for big TDs for all players 0-9 yds = 6 pts, 10-39 yds = 9 pts, 40+ = 12 pts

INT = -3 pts.

Do I go with Stafford and either Kelley or Ware or should I go with the RB pairing of Kelley and Ware at my flex?

Anyone and everyone can also feel free to weigh in as well as this middle finger situation is driving me nuts.

Thanks to all in advance!

Have to pick one of these WRs in non-PPR:

Michael Thomas

Taylor Gabriel

Dontrelle Inman

I am playing against a Matt Ryan owner in case that makes a difference on who to start.  Thanks!

Going back and forth over....defense.

Buffalo at home v. CLE (everyone has ranked them high this week for obvious reasons)

KC at home v. TEN (KC has been performing well and scoring a lot of FF points)

Thx

Morning Sig!

I was favored to win but after Landry last night it is dead even in projections.

.5 PPR

Brees is my QB but I also have Stafford

Pick 2 : L Murray, J Howard,T Coleman - opponent is starting Ryan, AP

Pick 2: Diggs, Jeffery, J Matthews

Def - I have Houston but Buffalo is on the waiver for some reason.

Thanks in advance!

First I just wanted to say I appreciate all your work you do for the community Sig. I have been a huge supporter of yours for years and love all your work and insight. That being said I am in a huge battle this weekend & facing a strong team ( D Johnson, L McCoy, D Thomas, J Mathews, T Eifert ) and I need every point I can get.

Full point PPR, 4pts passing tds, 1pt every 5 completions , 6pts for all other tds

Carr/ Stafford  ( Gut is telling me Carr )

Rb's  J Hill, S Ware, K Dixon, K Farrow   Play up to 3 ( Was thinking Hill, Ware and Dixon )

Wr's  Hilton , Evans , A Robinson  ( Was gonna roll with TY & Big Mike )

I have T Kelce

Defense question  ATL or Texans ?  ( Thinking ATL )

Thoughts ?

I Hope you have a wonderful Christmas buddy and Santa treats Miles right :)

God bless buddy,

Mike

Bloom, you have been spot on with each one of these I have thrown your way this year, so I come to you again.

1 PPR, I need 1 RB, 2 WR, and 1 Flex from this group.  I need to be aggressive, the team I am playing is well stocked and already had Wilson put up a good game on me.

RB's - L.Miller, R.Kelley

WR's - S. Watkins, S.Diggs, Mi.Thomas, A.Robinson, D.Inman

Thanks in advance for any advice this week, and thank a ton for all of the excellent advice so far this season.  I am a faithful Audible/On The Couch listener, and I truly credit you and Waldman for a lot of my success in fantasy football.  Especially my keeper league, where you two have turned me on to a number of names well ahead of others.

Hello Bloom, happy holidays to you and your family.  Looking for some help this week.  1 PT PPR 4 PT pass TD’s

Flacco or Stafford?

Need 2 RB 2 WR 1 TE 1 Flex

Blount, Hill, Ajayi, Kelley

Ty Hilton, Landry, Tyrell Williams, Marvin Jones, Desean Jackson

Reed, Gates

Thanks For everything this year!

Thank you for doing this!  I've never asked before, but in a bit of a tight spot due to injury to Julio.  Performance-based scoring.  (current ppg offered in parentheses for league scoring perspective)

Choose 1:

A.Boldin @ NYG (10.8)

T.Ginn @ WAS (12.5)

S.Watkins v CLE (9.9)

A.Robinson @ HOU (12.7)

While the correct answer to my question was Tyler Lockett, I did not start him, so here is the question:

PPR league with Bonuses for long TDs. 2 RB, 3 WR, and a Flex:

David Johnson (lock)

Now, the next 5 spots:
Jeremy Hill

Tevin Coleman

Crabtree

Garcon

M. Lee

Alshon Jeffery

Kenny Stills

My lean is 3 RBs here with Coleman playing the flex vs SF especially with Julio out.  Main thing comes down to Crabtree, Lee, Garcon, or Stills (I'm pretty set on Jeffery)

Thanks again.

Thanks again Sigmund.

Need 1 RB standard - D. Lewis, T. West, D. Booker

Need 2 WRs w/ bonuses for yardage milestones - JJ Nelson, Theilen, Gabriel, Mitchell, Coleman, R. Anderson

Need 1 TE & 1 Flex w/bonus for yardage milestones - remaining WRs from above, Reed, Bennett, L. Green, D. Henry

Need 1 TE - Bennett, L. Green

Need 1 QB - Dak, Smith, Taylor or Flacco
lewis

thielen and gabriel

bennett anderson

bennett

flacco

Hey Sig,

In a Full-PPR, who do you like more:

RB: D. Martin (@DAL), I. Crowell (@BUF), or K. Farrow (v. OAK)?

Flex: M. Thomas (@ARZ), R. Matthews (@KC), D. Inman (v. OAK - also starting Ty. Williams) or either of the RBs not picked above?

Thanks for the help as always!
