Week 15 Questions For Bloom (1 Viewer)

Hi Sig!

Need to start three of these RBs in .5 ppr (assuming Gordon & Ware are out):

  • Aaron Jones
  • Justin Jackson
  • Damien Williams
  • Mixon
  • Fournette

Facing a couple of dilemmas, on top of "#1 seed expectations" and being at the mercy of lady variance in the playoffs:

1. QB - stick with Newton? or pick up Dak Prescott? Others on the WW are like Mariota, Mayfield, etc. I am leaning sticking with Newton as the "favourite"

2. DB - stick with Budda Baker? or pick up an alternative (Whitehead, R. Jones, Tre Boston, D. Randall...). I am leaning toward picking someone up, at least someone healthy.

3. Flex - struggling with him having a potentially good matchup against NYG or Sony Michel v. a good Steelers D. I have no idea. Coin flip?

My Lineup:

QB - Newton [WW - Dak]

RB - Elliott, A. Jones

WR - Nuk, Thielen

TE - Kelce

Flex - Michel [Henry]

LB - Leonard

DL - Donald

DB - Baker [WW Pickup - TBD]

Opponent: Rivers/Lindsay/Fournette/Hill/Adams/Engram/D. Martin/T. Smith/Garrett/Bates

Standard league. Slightly big-play weighted IDP scoring.

Playoff matchup where I'm now projected to lose to my opponent.  It's 0.5 PPR, and due to injuries, I have to pick some mediocre WRs who all seem ver close.  Which would you start?  I know i'll pick the wrong one...

I've over-analysed the RB situation and can't clearly decide who to leave on the bench between Fournette, Chubb and Cook;

Chubb; road dog by 3 (low implied 21 pts for Cle); Broncos not allowing a rushing TD for the last 7 games (along with 70yds/game or so); high volume even with possible negative game script (touches and targets); 5 straight game with a TD

Fournette; home favorite by 7 (low implied of 21 for Jax); Redskins defense running on fumes with offense doing next to nothing; Jags mailing it in even though their defense is/was stellar at home; high volume in all his games; offense not generating much with Kessler; could go berserk and get ejected

Cook; home favorite by 6 (implied of 26 for Min); tough rushing defense as of late for Miami but getting walloped on the road all year long; new OC scheme; seeing regular targets (in a skewed passing offense); less volume than the other two (with Murray)

... tell me something I havn't thought of (weather in Denver? OLs/DLs? other?) to help me decide !

Two decisions to make, full PPR, and I am a slight underdog, so need upside.

With the T.Y.Hilton news (no practice Friday), I am scrambling for a flex. If I treat him like a GTD, I will only have Dante Pettis vs Seattle, however if I want to be proactive, I have Daesean Hamilton vs CLE, or Eli McGuire vs Houston on Saturday.  Thoughts?

Also, have to decide David Njoku @ Den or Vance McDonald vs NE.

Kyle Rudolph vs MIA (Kelce is my starter, Rudolph is only an option at flex because of the TE premium - I don’t like this though)

TE (Pick 1): Gronk or Cook (leaning Gronk-tough to sit him--Also, Cook's away-game stats are lower compared to home games)

Scoring format: 1 point per 25 yards passing, 1 point per 10 yards rushed / received, 2 point bonus after 300/350/400 passed yards or 100/150/200 yards rushed/received, 0.5 ppr

Given the news about Guice’s 7 weeks of infection issues after his ACL surgery, would you consider him a good 1-year 2019 keeper in a redraft league (no round involved)?  Wondering if there is too much risk of whether he will be ready week 1.  Thanks Sig.

Editing a little, started Jackson, opponent started Hill, winning with a current score of 17.5 - 8.1, so keep that in mind for below:

QB, I had Wentz, looking like he is out, who do I start this week, my options are:

Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson, Baker Mayfield, Mitch Trubisky (might not be able to get him, so please rank your top 2 out of this bunch), Derek Carr, Marcus Mariotta

1 point for 25 yards passing 2 point bonus at 300 yards, 1 point per 10 yards rushing, 2 point bonus 100 yards rushing, 6 points for any TD

Thanks in advance, I know you have a lot going on and appreciate you doing this in addition  to everything else to help us.

In leagues with points and yards allowed scored,  group these D/ST's into tiers like you do offensive players:

Seattle (at SF)

Buffalo (vs Det)

Den (vs Cle)

Detroit (at Buf)

NYG (vs Ten)

NE (at Pit)

Indy (vs Dal)

Ari (at Atl)

 
I have a pretty solid lineup, other than my flex/WR3 spot, where I have Anthony Miller (CHI) or Tre'Quan Smith (NOS).  I'm not terribly comfortable with either option, so I'm looking to pick up one of the following.  1.5 PPR, and 1 pt for every 15 yards receiving/returning.   Leaning towards one of the top three, and Nelson/Hamilton seem to have the best matchups.

Robby Anderson NYJ  (HOU)

Jordy Nelson OAK  (@CIN)

DaeSean Hamilton DEN  (CLE)

Chris Conley KCC (@LAC).... I would only consider this if Hill is deemed to be OUT tonight.

One of the BUF WR... Not even sure which would be the best option, between Zay Jones, Robert Foster, or Isaiah McKenzie (we get a point for every 15 return yards, and McKenzie actually outscored the others last week).
