Week 15 waiver wire (1 Viewer)

I'm in the final four this week and second in line this week for waiver claim in my 14 team PPR.

Hopefully I can grab Anthony Gonzales now that he's finally blown up.

Selvin Young was available...wow what a bunch of smart guys in your league.

After losing Campbell (my backup) I think I'm targetting T Jackson. Hopefully i won't need him but I think he is best available.

 Sorry to digress, but don't know why this has to be repeated every week in the "waiver wire" thread.

Not every league is like yours.

Some are smaller and some have very specific roster limitations and regulations that keep guys on the wire who might not remain there in your league. It doesn't necessarily have anything to do with the fantasy football acumen of the participants.

Now, back to your regular topic.

I am not sure why anyone would talk about Selvin Young even being available in a league. He deserved that response. Thats like me saying "Good week 15 waiver wire pick up is Ryan Grant". I would expect to get flamed.

IDK the size of your leagues or wutever (he's snagged in mine but we play 2 qb's).... but if trent edwards is available? He plays CLE who gives up the most FF pts. to QB's.

Walker at RB for Houston.

Kubiak said that Dayne's ankle doesn't look good, if you believe him.

Plus Echeandu (sp?) didn't get a carry after Dayne went down.

Not many potential starting RBs out there this time of year.

Also like Jabar Gafney
How much do you like Gaffney? How about these guys (anyone care to rank for week 15)?Br. Johnson @NOUrban (ARI) @NOA. Battle v.CINJames Jones @STLCotchery @NECurry/Porter v.INDGaffney v.NYJA. Gonzalez @OAKRe Brown @DALK. Curtis @DALRe. Williams @PITSantana Moss @NYG

Big difference between Ryan Grant and Selvin Young. Ryan Grant has been consistently putting up big games for quite a few weeks now. Selvin Young is on again and off again, pending injuries and other RBs on that team starting. He hasn't been the clear starter for the past five weeks or whatever Grant has. Selvin just had a good game but it was in which Henry started and we had no idea if Young would play. So, if you don't have deep rosters and don't have Henry, Young might be available.

Anyway, one guy I would watch tonight is Pierre Thomas. More than likely in redraft leagues he will be available and yet he could really cut into Stecker's time if he does well with his opportunities and Bush is now out for the rest of the season.

As for receivers, in shallow leagues Reggie Williams might be available and he is slowly becoming a consistent scored in jacksonville. Justin Gage in TENN may be available and althought he had a down week he had had four straight weeks of good performance. Ted Ginn Jr. might be availabe in redraft and he is getting better every week and getting more and more action.

I'm debating between between Gado and Booker--Booker seems to be getting more opportunities the last two weeks and could be very valuable in PPR leagues--thoughts?

vBAL, @NE.... you might get one week out of him if Beck has any time to throw.

thanks for the info, as I didn't know he played tough D's the next two weeks...IMo, they both have little value now given this fact

I think I'd feel better going for a 3rd down RB type on the waiver wire (especially in PPR) or a goal line back over either Gado or Booker given the matchups.

This was my dilemma last week since I'm an owner of both. After watching the game it is clear to me that Gado is still the guy to start. He should get targets in the passing game as well as all GL and regular carries. When you start Booker, you're praying for a big play since he doesn't get in the game much. From what I've read, Booker is a poor blocker and doesn't know the playbook well. Of course, being the NFL, things could change in an instant.

I was tossing around picking up Gado and/or Gaffney. I'm never going to play Gado with his remaining schedule, but I think Gaffney has potential. It seems like teams are going out of the way to cover Moss and Welker...with the NE running game being what it is (or rather is not) and great matchups against the Jets and Dolphins, that's where I'm rolling the dice.

How can "duckie" have no love for The Duck. TJ looked pretty strong this weekend. TD only leagues should take notice.

I believe his TD run was not a short one and IIRC, Jones was in on most if not all gaol line situations.Duckett has some value as a "couple of series a game" back but he is by no means the goal line back in Detroit.

looking for a qb :excited: (made the playoffs with vince young and jason campbell)
Watch Redman tonight. Seriously.
i'm watching. "best" qb's availabe are redman and todd collins.week 15, 16atl - @TB, @AZwas- @NYG, @MINNleaning towards redman @ this point. thoughts anyone?
I'm starting Redman tonight and paying attention. Not great but certainly not bad, makes good decisions, quick release. And will CERTAINLY throw plenty in every game. The TB game scares me a little. I'm going to try to grab Sage for next week, but plan on Redman otherwise.

In leagues with 40-man rosters, no Selvin Young probably shouldn't be available.

But I'm in a league with 15-man rosters (11 teams) and we start 13 of those guys every week. The minute it was announced Henry had won his appeal and was the starter last week, I dropped Selvin Young. With injuries to Schaub and Boldin, I had to have someone I could plug into my lineup.

And, I'm sure I'm not the only one, but having a Denver RB can be a real headache with Shanahan in charge. You play Selvin one week and he gets you nothing. So you sit him the next week and he rips off a big game. Let someone else deal with the problem.

Any good TE on the WW. How'bout Ben Watson or Alex Smith ??

I'm in a very small league, 8 teams, only 16 roster spots. I'd be shocked if Young wasn't available.

I dropped Young in my league last week for Droughns. We can only have 4 backs and I had LT, AP, Jacobs and Young. Considering that I didn't have a playoff spot secured and that Henry had a good game the prior week while Young had a bad one, I decided to pick up Droughns in case Jacobs didn't play. I don't see how that was dumb and I'm sure there are more examples like that, of why certain players were dropped.Granted Young had the better game but most weren't expecting him to outrun whoever the Giants starter was last Sunday.

Portis, Young, Gaffney and the Bengals for me.

Yup I had an idiot who was sour about his losing season dump players on waivers. Got to cash in though.
