Hate to speculate..... but that could be a collarbone.Smith back in with a catch,,,,
How close was he to going in all the way?Is he up??Smith with a really long catch but now he is hurt--57 yards....
SMITH BACK IN!I heart Steve Smith. He's laid eggs all year but stepped up at the perfect time. Of course it ends in an injury...
kick normally. the boys will throw a couple incompletes and punt.If they don't score on 3rd do they kick the FG and then onsides kick?
Twohow many time outs do the Panthers have left? anyone know?
Why would they throw and risk stopping the clock?kick normally. the boys will throw a couple incompletes and punt.If they don't score on 3rd do they kick the FG and then onsides kick?
cuz they are idiots....LOL I'm actually shocked they didnt come out throwing as its all they've done the last 2 weeks. Why would they throw and risk stopping the clock?kick normally. the boys will throw a couple incompletes and punt.If they don't score on 3rd do they kick the FG and then onsides kick?
So true Packer7. I think the Panthers and Redskins get more injuries, year after year, than any two teams in the NFL. But the Panthers show more heart than ANYONE.I have to say that the Panthers have so much heart. They always do. No matter how much bad luck this team has they keep fighting. Every year they have something happen it seems, but still manage to keep in the hunt till the end.My hats off.
Roy Williams of the Lions does the same thing. One thing I don't like about Barber is that he celebrates every single gain of 6 yards or more. Act like you've done that before, guy.
That first gain of nine yards was virtually a first down. If CAR calls a timeout there, they pretty much waste it, because their goal is to prevent first downs. If they did call a timeout there and DAL got a first down on the next play then they would have to stop them three times again with only one timeout. At least that's how I saw it.Why did Carolina not use a timeout before the two minute warning? The Cowboys ran two plays and ran the clock from 2:50 or so to 2:00. Carolina held onto their 2 timeouts. Best case now is they stop them on 1st, call timeout, stop them on 2nd, call timeout, stop them on third, clock runs down to about 1:00 or so, Dallas punts, Carolina takes over with no timeouts and 50 seconds left. They could have saved 10 seconds or so had they taken a timeout before the break. Am I missing something here?EDIT: Never mind, another first down. Game over.
Well, they had the two minute warning and two timeouts. Had they used the first timeout after Dallas's second play - the run for the first down - they stop the clock with roughly 2:07 remaining. Then Dallas runs on first down, and the clock stops for the two minute warning. Then Dallas runs on second down, and they use the last timeout to stop the clock at 1:55 or so. Then if they held on third down, they get the ball back with at least a few more seconds. Of course, the whole scenario requires them to stop Dallas, which they couldn't do, making the whole issue moot.I do think the smarter play was to take the timeout before the two minute warning, but it is a small difference. That first gain of nine yards was virtually a first down. I would agree with you . . . if he had gone straight to Moore instead of dicking around with Carr and Testaverde . . .John Fox should be retained by the Panters; unfortunately he may be fired but he has been doing his best with what he has to work with...
And turned the run game over to DeW more.I would agree with you . . . if he had gone straight to Moore instead of dicking around with Carr and Testaverde . . .John Fox should be retained by the Panters; unfortunately he may be fired but he has been doing his best with what he has to work with...
YES. no need to rub it in. Also had Caddy Williams, Michael Pittman, DeShawn Wynn and miraculously, I was in the running until Thursday night's negative one yard debacle.EDIT to add: sorry if this belongs in the venting forum.Any TO + Puny Parker owners out there?
