Week 17 Final? Who you playing, benching, sneaky plays... (1 Viewer)

As noted in the Matt Forte thread, with Zach Miller out that might give Forte a lot of looks in the passing game. Might be useful in PPR leagues.

Thinking of rolling out Bradford over Cousins in a Superflex.
I wouldn't hesitate at all. Dallas' D has held down Fitz and Taylor the past couple weeks. I was able to start the opposite both weeks and it worked both times. I wouldn't start Cousins anyway just based on Dallas' pass D lately, but with the potential benching after 1 drive, hell no. Bradford is a much better start. Maybe it doesn't work out, but no chance I would start Cousins over Bradford this week.

Made a topic in the assistant coach board and still haven't got a response. Looks like there will be no ask bloom for this week either so hopefully someone in this topic can help me out in time it will be much appreciated.

Rams D/ST @ 49ers or Titans D/ST @ INDY?

Have Titans starting right now but strongly considering making the switch to Rams. I'm down 25 points in a 2 week championship round so need the option with the most upside. Rams are better defense but feel like Titans have the better match up going against Freeman. Just not sure how much motivated Tennessee will be this week.

Yeah there's just no way to know how long Cousins will play. Who knows what the plan is, and who knows how apt Gruden is to getting spooked if he takes an early sack or hit? Gotta play it safe even though Bradford doesn't have the ceiling in my format.

Thinking of benching the hot Arizona D/ST at home against the Seahawks in favor of the Colts at home against the lowly Titans.

As an aside, WTF is with the TV scheduling here in Charlotte? Pittsburgh vs Cleveland and Dallas vs Washington are the 1pm games? One is going to be a blowout as the Browns try to get the #1 pick and the other is completely meaningless. How about the Jets vs Bills or heck NO vs Atlanta/Eagles vs Giants? A meaningful game and some potential high scoring/record attempting games. I don't have Sunday ticket, so may have to leave the wife at home with the kids for a bit before the Panthers are on.

I'd go Rams, Titans are a bad D. They've had 2 double digit games all year, both due to their only TDs. I'd go with the good D against the bad O over the bad D against the mediocre O.

I've got the Rams in over the Chiefs right now. I've been rolling with the Chiefs lately, but they've actually been worse at home the last 7 weeks and Houston is still out and Hali hasn't practiced all week. I'm going to wait for the active/inactives. Also, if Denver gets out to a big lead, KC could rest folks as well. I'm still a little up in the air on it, but SF has given up a ton of sacks (15) the last three weeks.

Thank you good sir. Rams were the defense I drafted and every time I benched them this year I regretted it. Josh Freeman at QB is just so enticing but if I'm going to go down might as well go down with the D that got me here. As for you I would still roll with KC over STL.

Well I was wrong here. He's likely out at half.

Ended up working out for me, its a yardage heavy format so Bradford scored almost exactly the same as Cousins, .6 more.

Ah, forgot it was Bradford. I should have grabbed him last week for this week. I just went with Fitz last week (which worked), but I got sniped on the waivers this week. I would have rather started Bradford this week. Unfortunately, I didn't want to drop Taylor (potentially keeper trade bait, 15th round pick - I'll be keeping Odell with my 1 keeper). Hoping I can hold on for the total points $$$, but mad I didn't try to make room for Bradford last week. I could have dumped Fitz, although he should have had more points today and been fine. The 3 picks hurt and of course the Jets not playing Ivory much until they fell too far behind.

Started Gio over CMike and just before the game benched Helfet for RRodgers. Probably gonna regret both moves

The Redskins' primary RB could be a good play this week too if we have some idea who that might be. The Cowboys have sprouted holes lately with their run defense. Jones won't play and Morris probably won't play much if at all. So it would likely be Thompson or Thomas. Pierre is banged up this week so maybe it's Thompson? Or will Gruden view him as the superior playoff option over Pierre and not want him playing a lot? This is the fun of Week 17 but if we get word by game time that one RB is looking at volume that guy is in a position to do well.
I grabbed Thomas as well but with Morris and Thompson healthy I have no clue how they will go especially since Thomas is a little banged up. They've seemed to state that the starters will play some so I think I'll stick to Ivory, Mason and Payne in that order since I think Powell and Gurley are not going to play. I love Payne but their usage of him last week scares me a bit. How do you average 10ypc when Stewart is out and get 5 carries against a bad run D?
Agree on Payne. You would think he'd get a big workload, but can't count on it.

I picked up Mason, and have Powell (likely out?), Langford, Payne, and K Williams. I'm currently learning towards K Williams, Langford, and Mason. I'm a little concerned that the Bears may feed Forte in his last game with the Bears, so I may start Payne over Langford.
Of course, now he gets a bigger load and a TD. As a Panthers fan, I am happy, but damnit if I should have just stuck with him. Mason and the Rams look like crap (started their D as well).

ETA: LOL, just as I typed that, Mason scored after the Rams INT.

Oooooof. Lead the league in "coaching" (actual points vs possible points) all season. Today in the final, my 2 "tough" decisions

  • Started Gio over DMurray, CMike, and Donald Brown (net loss of 4.3-6.1)
  • Started SF Defense over Philly (net loss of 8.0)
Currently down 0.5 into the SNF game, with Cobb/Rodgers (TE) vs opponent's Rudolph. Could have been up a dozen or more
