Week 17 - New England Patriots at New York Giants (2 Viewers)

I don't care what anyone says Randy Moss is the best receiver in the game right now!
He has incredible hands, but his route running is sub-par. He is who he is, because of the team he is on and the protection his QB gets. If he is so great, where was he in Oakland?

I disagree with this. I would say that Moss was terrible in Oakland due to the fact that Oakland is a loser franchise and it brought him down. He's not a leader. I would say that 2 years in Oakland is the anamoly, not the other 8 years on the Vikes/Pats.

You Giants whiners happy with the refs now? A crappy non-action penalty just gave you the lead back.So lets stop talking about the refs for the rest of the game.
How did the penalty affect that play? He already out ran the coverage...he could have went for 15 more yards for the TD if no penalty was called

Forgot to add that it's not coincidence that Moss' TD breaks the all time scoring record that was held by Moss' old team the '98 Vikes.

Don't ANY teams watch film of the Patriots??? They run that little bubble screen to Welker the exact same way 3 times a game EVERY game.

 :excited: Even I have to laugh at myself for that one (edit so I'll remember when the booze wears off : Welker stopped for no gain on a bubble screen about 5 seconds after I posted this)

Wow, did Brady ever lift a weight in college?
If you watched Manning's SNL, you'd think he still doesn't lift weights. How would Brady currently grade out in an NFL scouting type of combine compared to other NFL QB's?I mean, does he have a good arm vs. the average nfl QB? Is any of his success raw talent based? Or is he simply just an intelligent QB with good physical skills, and excellent intangibles and leadership?

"sub-par" , lol.
Maybe he meant sub-par compared to other hall of fame receivers?
I would consider that as a truth.
Maybe. But, it doesn't matter how he gets it done as long as it gets done. It's not a sliding grading scale due to potential.

:goodposting: Randy is one of the best ever but his gaudy numbers are a product of the system. Put TO on that team and he would have several take-it-to-the-house TDs because of the protection.

Physically, hes now 6'4" 225 with one of the stronger arms in the league and decent foot speed. He's in the proto-typical mold now.

Kudos to the Giants for playing their starters this long. They have nothing to gain here, and they're playing like it's a real NFL game.

(note: I feel that teams that have playoff spots locked up think of these types of games as exhibition games)
