some of us have championship games in week 17. Yes, kinda dumb but also fun too.

If i make it (cmon vick!) then I think i might need to fill some holes and you probably do too. KC NE and some others really have no need to play their starters the entire game......so who do you like as pickups?

rashad jennings

j jones

j gresham

j graham

I wish I had more to contribute but I'm just really not sure who is a good play right now.

I don't think the Jets have much to play for either. Mabye Joe McKnight is a decent pickup?

My league plays a 2-week championship "game", so I have to play week 17, too. I'm not liking it. In my RB #2 slot, I am thinking of starting Ryan Matthews. I picked him up before last week's game. He looked pretty good, and if Tolbert's out, Matthews has a chance to do some damage. He gets to play Denver. I have been using Torain in that slot, but he's got the NY Giants this week which worries me. I might be searching for a QB, too as Flacco and Roethlisberger have no reason to play full games next week.

Maybe Fitzpatrick, Grossman, Tebow, Collins, Campbell, Henne, Hill???

i think balt and pitt do need to play out. they both play at 4pm and a pitt loss would give the first round bye to balt.

oh also, heath miller might be available in your league since he was largeyl unproductive bfore the concussion.

im going to scoop up buckhalter with mreno iffy

m bush is nice play if mcfadden is out

d alexander and maybe jerome simpson for deeper type leagues

Of that bunch of QBs I like Tebow best. Campbell is probably next. Oh wait, Sean Hill is in there? Put him ahead of Tebow. Hill. Tebow. Campbell. Fitzpatrick probably isn't a bad play either as the Jets will be resting guys and you have to figure that Revis will be one of those guys they go easy with. The Giants are such head cases and it's a divisional rival so I wouldn't downgrade Torrain off what you'd expect.Tolbert was walking after the game (which is good considering he was carted off the field and immobilized.) That said, Mathews may not be a bad speculative play - keep tabs on Tolbert's status. As for the Bengals, Gresham if he's some how available is probably the safest pick. Ocho may or may not play and if he plays may still not be there for more than half the plays. Simpson, Shipley, and Caldwell may be all good shots to do something, but which one is best I'm not quite sure. Probably look at Caldwell or Shipley first if it's PPR, Simpson if you have bonuses for long TDs.His TD last week notwithstanding, unless the Bengals explicitly say so, I would not necessarily expect Scott to see a boost in carries over Benson.Rams receivers might hold some value there. If for some strange reason Owen Daniels is out there on the wire, he'd be worth grabbing.-QG
