If this is Assistant Coach territory, Mods please move. Just thought we FAAB'ers could use a place to get together since our WW stuff tends to get lost in threads. (Also, is there any good links to FAAB value on a week to week basis?)

Who are you guys targeting and how much?

I am bidding $20 ($80 budget)on Edelman, $15 is what I originally had and sounds about right; I'm bidding an addt'l $5 to ensure I get him.

Yea, I would say $100 is going to be the default standard for most.

Okay. I've seen a few at $80. We play at $1000 in my league, so I'm mainly trying to get the percentage so I can equate it to what I would need to spend most likely.

The rule of thumb I've seen promulgated is spend more in early weeks since theoretically the players you get will help your team for a longer time than if you get them late in the season.

That said, I've had success letting teams duke it out for the hottest FA. They deplete their FAAB and meanwhile I get much cheaper FAs that often produce just as well, if not better. And I have more funds for later in the year while other teams are scraping the bottom of theirs, so I can continue to grab impact players as injuries take their toll on many. Works much like the strategy of an auction draft.

So, for example, instead of using $15 for Edelman, maybe I'll spend only $2-3 for Streater. That sort of thing. (This was just for illustration's sake -- not saying to do this this week.)

Ok for those with rolling waivers what pick number is the highest you would spend? (e.g. 1st waiver priority etc.)

Also does that number change if you are the Amendola owner
