Week 2 waiver wire pickups (1 Viewer)

Johnny Football & Ryan Mallett

Not so on James Jones, sure this was his week but you never know if it will be Adams or Cobb next time. Can't count on production for Jones

Moncrief, depending on TY's knee xray results.
Dorsett is listed 3rd on the depth chart, ahead of Moncrief . . . . who would be next up if T.Y. is out for any time? I read that the staff really likes Dorsett's speed; however, Moncrief has been in the system and had a few good games towards the end of last year.

Jones Is a lock for 9+ tds. He's done it before with rodgers

James Jones couldn't get separation if he was the other side of an unzipped zipper. He has a HoF QB against a 4-12 or worse team. Adjust accordingly.

forget the depth chart - Moncrief played way more snaps than Dorsett before the injury.

James jones was always inconsistent. This game will be followed up with several stinkers.

Right, but Moncreif might keep that role whereas Dorsett is Hilton's direct backup.

That's not how it played out today.

Montee Ball will either be picked up by Cleveland with their lackluster RB play or by Arizona if Ellington's injury is going to take him out of action and would be worth a flyer for either of those teams. Terrance Williams and James Jones should be the top WR adds.

Moncrief over Dorsett for me. Moncrief was 2nd on the team in targets yesterday. 14 for Hilton, 11 for Moncrief, 10 for Johnson.

Well, he had 2 today so there are only 7+ left.
yea, only 7+ :lmao:
Fun fact - James Jones has only had one season with more than 7 TDs. His last full season with GB (14 games in 2013) he had 3.

Jones only had 4 targets. Giants dumped him for a reason. This was a smoke and mirrors deal because of knowing the system that well and Cobb being hurt IMO.

Can't decide if Jones or Moncrief can be depended on. Looks like Hilton avoided serious injury so I'm not sure Moncrief or Dorsett are dependable options yet. Jones is tough. A guarantee he'll get picked up in my league as he will in most, but can he really be relied on as a regular fantasy starter?

And how many of those targets were to attack the rookie Darby and or away from Gilmore?
Darby picked him off when they threw to Hilton so that didn't work out to well.

Watching the whole game it was clear Moncrief was the #1 target after Hiltons departure.

Julius Thomas if he went undrafted due to the injury and you can wait a few weeks.

Too early to tell, but Robinson did not assume control of the receiving corps as expected.

I like that no one has mentioned Lance Dunbar yet. Hopefully that means he slips under the radar in some of my PPR leagues.

Redraft, just looking at players <75% owned in CBS:

Mariota

Taylor

C. Michael

C. Johnson

D. Johnson

Woodhead

Dunbar

D. Lewis

James Jones

Moncrief

Terrance Williams

Kearse

Eifert

Ebron

I'm afraid Lewis is overblown. He's more useful than lead-back. BB wouldn't ground and pound Kevin Faulk but he would use him as much as he could in the passing game; including some runs to keep em' honest
