A normal league? 30 spot roster leagues are dumb, it kills a big part of fantasy football.what kind of leagues are these guys available in ...
I don't know how many backs you can start with flex positions and what not but Chester is obviously your weakest even if he is healthy. If you want to hold on to him, then its a tough call. I don't think I'd let go of any of your receivers yet, maybe drop the packers def. I have the Bears def too so you'll just need to pick up a defense for one week, I think week 9. I would pickup Cotchery though no matter what, he's pretty much on the same level as your other WR's so you'd be able to play the best matchups every week.Eljefe said:Normally I would have immediately jumped on Cotchery; however, I have a 16 man roster & cannot think of dropping anyone on my team for him (unless you recommend I drop someone from my roster for Cotchery).10 team/non-ppr/standard scoringRon_Mexico said:You might want to do more than just consider it.Someone in my league just dropped J. I read Crayton said he wouldn't even miss a practice for the finger. He said it will be sore and but shouldn't be an issue. I would look on to other WR's in your FA pool other than those two. Sure Roydell had a good game this week but no receivers on that team will ever be consistent with Vince Young. He's never going to throw for a ton of yards because he likes to run and that means you'll need a TD from Roydell to have a good week, otherwise its just hit & miss. Don't forget he did nothing in week 1. I actually dropped him after week 1 and I'm still happy with the decision, I believe my pickup was better, Shaun McDonald, and I don't think Roydell will continue to put up the stats he did today which were an average day for a good receiver. I have Roy Williams so McDonald is my injury precaution, although if he continues to play like he has he may make it into my starting lineup. If Crayton's finger is going to be a nagging injury, I'll certainly look into dumping his #### to get 1) Roydell Williams2) Bobby Engram With Minnesota looking to be the real thing, I'll get rid of the Eagles that I had stashed for Mnday night and gun for a backup QB - Jeff Garcia as backup to Jay Cutler. I'm also seriously thinking of dumping akers for Folk just cause I won't have to bother scouring the waiver wire for a K till Week 9.
Sorry to get off track, but how is that your team and how has the rest of the league not resigned already? Palmer and Brees? SJax, Rudi, Addai, ADP, MLynch....what!? Holt, AJ, Evans, Williams, Braylon....I only have 2 questions...are you sure this isn't a 2 team dynasty league and how is it any fun? Because I have seen a few teams get pretty stacked in a dynasty format but nothing like that, I would be totally 100% embarrassed about the quality of my league if I had a team like that. Unless the rest of the guys in your league are a little "special" and you're like their counselor/mentor, then I could understand, and that's very nice of you. :whoosh:12 team dynasty, PPR, QB, 2RB, 2WR, Flex, TE, K, DQB: B. But using the Wynn logic, he had 5 yards on 4 carries when you take away the 17 yard run.Calhoun maybe![]()
I want to respond to this but don't know how.Someone in my league just dropped J. Cotchery to get Shaun McDonald; therefore, I am really considering picking up Cotchery!
Not sure what to say to that one either... Was this before or after Cotchery played Sunday? either way, it's an odd move dropping 1a/ab on a team to pick up a 3/4.On the flipside, I have somone in a redraft league that put in a drop transaction McDonald to pick up A.Bryant this morning.must be something in the water..I want to respond to this but don't know how.Someone in my league just dropped J. Cotchery to get Shaun McDonald; therefore, I am really considering picking up Cotchery!
Thank you for your token weekly, "I'm in the toughest league ever and the 4th string running back from GB was gone in the 3rd round" post.Plenty of people playing in restricted roster, 8 and 10 team leagues and are quite content and intelligent. Climb off your high horse, contribute or quit polluting the thread.what kind of leagues are these guys available in ... guess i am too used to deep dynasty type leagues where ever single one of these guys are on a roster

Depending upon how deep your roster I disagree with this. Dayne is clearly the RB2 and one who is getting significant carries. If Green gets hurt, he will be in line to be the starting RB in a very productive offense, and one who did very well with that opportunity last year. At worst he could be a fill-in starter who might score a TD.WDI p/u doesn't fly, but this one's a freebie (it's a simple cut and paste from every Ron Dayne thread ever)do not pick up Ron Dayne. What do you guys think of Dayne? He's available in my 12 team league, 18 carries, didn't do much with them. Would drop Crayton.
ok3nOut said:I have Julius Jones as my RB4 and am considering dropping him outright to pick up Kevin Jones (if i can't move him for something). The lnly problem is that my RB1 and RB2 have the same bye week on week 4 and Kevin Jones goes up against the Bears that week.
I like Roydell Williams for his schedule near term and the lack of anybody else for Vince to throw the ball to.Looking at the WR's on the wire:Booker AvantEngramNorthcuttStokleyWhiteHurdRoydell WilliamsWhich does everybody like best? I am leaning towards Booker or Engram.
They go VERY WELL w/ MN for a few matchups and the bye week filler. Solid late round DTBC combo performing great thus far.Anyone have thoughts about Glenn Holt filling in the Chris Henry role till week 9??? Tab has done NOTHING w/ his opportunity and is dinged yet again.I don't know much about the guy, i.e. why he didn't beat Perry out in TC, college performance, etc. TIAI know they've been mentioned, but I'm thinking about the Texans Def/ST.They've been very active so far in two games, and after this week game vs Ind, they have ATL, MIA, JAX, TEN. Not exactly teams that light it up and hold onto the ball. Also have games against OAK, CLE and TB on the schedule.Could be a nice spot start team in leagues that have to draft 2 DEF/ST and didn't land one of the highly projected teams.
