Week 3 Venting Thread (1 Viewer)

Frank Gore left a ton of points out there

Was the genius who started Reggie Williams over Joe Horn. At least I know my WR3 for the rest of the year is set in stone.

Kurt Freakin' Warner...Nuff said

P.S. - Akers, when did you forget how to kick? I do think it's mechanical. He used to "draw" his kicks. He hits pushes now. Sort of like my golf swing..

Nothing to do with fantasy football.

I'm still pissed off that Colclough muffed that punt. If he catches it or stays the #### away from it, the Steelers have the ball with a 3 point lead, 10 minutes on the clock, a running game that was doing great, and a defense that had taken over the game.

:wall:

facing portisstarted f taylor over parker ( coowners idea )chad johnson with 1 ####in ptmanning running in his first td since 02 ( im facing manning owner )
what is the deal with all these co-owners?? never heard of it before and now I have seen it 3 or 4 times today.

Benched Gould for Stover. 12pts so far on my bench. :wall: Figured Stover would have the FGs (and he still may), but didn't want to have to root against Gould vs my Vikes. We'll see how this plays out.
Meh, nevermind. Only lost 2pts on the deal, as Stover picked up 11 to Gould's 13 in our scoring system.

there's a couple in my league. split due to cost and/or time available.always difficult to trade w/ teams that have 2+ owners

Palmer throws for 4 TD's 4, I have Chad Johnson. :bag:

Gore fumbles near the goal line and gets pulled. :bag:

Braylon Edwards was on my bench. :bag:

Outstanding game from Chambers against that juggernaut of a defense Tennessee. :bag:

I'm up by 32 and he has Horn and Brady left and I have Vick.

The way the season has gone I guarantee I'll be 0-3 after Monday night.

Of course they just had to show a sequence of plays where Johnson is wide open and the ball goes somewhere else. Thanks Palmer.

Mistakenly started MICHAEL Clayton (1pt) over MARK Clayton (11pt). And I wasn't even drunk when I set my lineup.

I'm down 37 (he's done) with Dunn, Bush & Colston to go, so it's not over, but I'd feel helluva lot better down 27. Just sucks that I might lose bc of my own stupid error and not bc I started the wrong guy (at least in my head I didn't; in reality I did).

Started stallworth a no brainer over lee evans... IF STALLWORTH WOULD OF PLAYED!!!!!!!!!!

Now stallworth is gonna cost me a WIN.

Like a lot of people, I sat Ahman Green based on the uncertainty. Didn't seem to play like he had anything wrong with him.

WTF is up with Daunte Culpepper? This was a D he was supposed to shred.

And how about that Chad Johnson!

I've never had a RB score more then 15 TDs in a season (in 15 years).

This year I've got Shaun Alexander who already appears hurt.

Venting for a friend about the Gore fumble for TD Return.

He had Gore, his opponent had the Philly DEF. Our league is straight scoring against DEF (i.e. if Philly allows 24, the owner gets -24), and 7 points for all TDs. So what should have given him a 14 point swing (Gore +7, Philly -7) lost him 7 more (Philly +7), and Gore for the rest of the game.

Eli might have screwed me this week for the 2nd week in a row. The NYG last half stuff is for the birds...

This is the biggest underachiever line up this week....

Warner-3 picks and a game ending fumble when your team had a chip shot to win. Nice pick in the end zone, nice play calling Denny, with two of the best receivers in the NFL you decide to run three plays in a row inside the 5, out of some kind of two TE set. Moron. Kurt, your guys have the red jerseys now....I think he had some sort of confusion in the brain from getting pounded earlier in the game. I wouldn't be at all surprised if he had a mild concussion. There has to be some excuse for that pick. I've never seen anything like it. Bring on Leinart.

Rudi Johnson-1 freakin point................ONE! This might be the worst game of football I've seen all year, out of both teams. Rudi was non existant.

Chambers-Nice TD catch...........for about a minute. TWO stinkin points. Your QB sucks and it trickles down on you. There is no hope either because Joey ball game is the backup. Wasted draft pick.

Hines Ward-ZERO Big Ben's game looks like that picture of his bike after the crash. Twisted and ready for the junkyard.

Santana Moss-where's the love, TWO points. Everybody else got some love......

Desmond Clark-out with an ankle half way thru the game. Bye week fill in

Miami Def-I want every single person who predicted they would kill the Titans to drop and give me twenty. NOW! 5 points

Portis was the only performer on my team. Oh yeah and Akers who I think will be alright when Philly plays someone that can slow down McNabb.

Lost by 9 to a team that moves to 3-0. He had three zero's and I couldn't beat him because of the stank listed above.

Cardinals | Warner takes helmet-to-helmet hit

Sun, 24 Sep 2006 18:11:08 -0700

Associated Press reports Arizona Cardinals QB Kurt Warner took a helmet-to-helmet hit during Week 3. While he remained in the game, he proceeded to throw three interceptions following the collision.

 Here we go.............

Screwed up the waiver wire and ended up with Berrian on a team that already had Muhammed. Traded Muhammed (100+ yds!) for Reggie Williams who did jack ####. Gonna lose by about 5 points.

:goodposting: Colclough has muffed, bobbled, and fumbled enough punts this year (pre-season included) that there's no way he should be returning punts. I don't care if whoever they put back there averages zero yards per return, just as long as he doesn't muff the catch or fumble. One more thing... F*#@! Stallworth!

Thanks to Kurt "forgot I don't play for St. Louis anymore" Warner and "waiting to see" how TJ Houshmandzadeh would play before I started him, I am now 1-2 in a league where I would be 3-0 and have argueably the best team in the league. (and, oh yeah, I started DeAngelo Williams :bag: )

This thread is all about Donte Stallworth. This is the first time I've needed him this season, and he bruises his uterus.

:ptts:

My lineup in a basic scoring league:

Vick - :boxing:

McGahee - 150 yds and 0 td's

Chester Taylor -

Plaxico - :hot:

Santana Moss -

Heap - He got me a TD!

S. Graham -

Bears - 3 pts -

What is the deal with McGahee? The guy has been running well but no TD's! Is the coaching out there clueless? I haven't seen any of the Buffalo games but how can you accumulate that many yards and not have any TD's? Do they take him out in scoring situations and put the game in Losman's hands? If so...that's a brilliant coaching strategy. :sarcasm:

I somehow managed to have Clayton in there instead of Roy Williams in one league... completely unintentional.... I hope I was drunk :)I also had Matt Jones instead of Clayton in another league, and (assumign they take away Watson's 12 yard catch), then I lose because of it.

What a loser. Excuses excuses.I was up a point against my opponent in my big money league, with my oppponent having Sjax and me having Warner only to play. If the cards just finish that drive and score a FG, I win. However, Mr. Turnover drops the ball (and then proceeds to yell at his center on the sidelines), and I lose on the fumble.

:hot:

This guy is such a loser. Bring on the Leinart era...

Yep, bring it on. Not to mention Leinart doesn't take all the sacks that gimpy gives up. I saw him #####ing at the center and thought that big dude should have shut him real quick by asking him if the three picks were his fault too.... The score of this game should have been 35-16 without a doubt. Maybe even worse with the gifts Warner handed to the Rams. I'm just glad I took him very low in the draft and scooped up Leinart in the first week off the wire.

Leinart might as well be in there, he can't do any worse. Plus it would free up a roster spot when I dump Warners ####.

I finally get a good game from KJ and Burress and Warner blow. Oh and for the 3rd straight week - Chambers only shows up for the second half. Each and every week I am paying for a crappy draft started off by drafting Jordan and Caddy with the 10th and 11th picks. :porked:

Willie

Started DeAngelo Williams :wall: But, my other option was Mike Bell so I wasn't that upset after watching him sit on the bench throughout the game on Sunday. My opponent had Burress so we exchanged goose eggs with each other, so I guess it could have been worse. I am definitely sitting DeAngelo until he is named starter. It is real apparent that Foster is going to get every opportunity to carry the ball and DeAngelo will not play unless Foster is ineffective/gets injured.

Rudi Johnson gets 50 yards and no TDs in a 4td game

oh yeah, playing vs Carson Palmer.

Gore fumbles and doesnt see the field again.

Oh yeah, the 98 yard TD return is against me since i play Philly D!

Plaxico fumbles and causes an INT and sits the rest of the game with 1 rec for 23 yards. I get a pt at 2 rec OR 25 yards.

Keyshawn on my bench with Bruce and Plax starting.

My opp has DJack

On the plus side he has Chad Johnson too.

Benched B. Edwards against a tough D at the last minute in favor of the hot handed Furrey. Also kept Farve on the bench and started Vick, hopefully that works out, I'm down by 5 and he has the NO D.

Triple :bag: :bag: :bag:

Starters Pts Status

Culpepper, Daunte (QB Mia) 6.0 Final

Jackson, Steven (RB StL) 0.0 Final

Maroney, Laurence (RB NE) 0.0 Final

Toomer, Amani (WR NYG) 6.0 Final

Chambers, Chris (WR Mia) 0.0 Final

Cooley, Chris (TE Was) 2.0 Final

Stover, Matt (K Bal) 9.0 Final

Carolina (Over Def) 1.0 Final

Total: 24.0

And on my bench:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Favre, Brett (QB GB) 12.0 Final

Parker, Willie (RB Pit) 12.0 Final

Houshmandzadeh, T.J. (WR Cin) 12.0 Final

Just totally over-thought it and lost by five points. And I'm a Bengals homer, so I got to watch every second of 24 points flushing down the drain.

WR hell

I started the following guys across five leagues:

CJ (twice) A. Bryant, Buress, Matt Jones, Williamson, Cotchery, Re. Williams

notable guys on bench

Mason, Edwards, Bruce

likely losing 3 of 5 but with a chance to go 3-2 if Brees has a big game

whoops, make that losing 4 of 5 with a chance to only lose 3. Wow, what a week.

I went to see my girlfriend in Philly this weekend... didn't know if Housh was gunna play. Had him benched in a TD Only league.

Who else did I bench? Oh yeah, some guy named Carson Palmer.

Overthought and lost. I may drop every other QB on my team just to stop temptation.

Would Hasselbeck please.. I'm serious here.. please stop throwing TDs.I was up by 70 before Hasselbeck starting tearing me a new one.
Bleh...12:55-2 PM on sunday, my oppenent is screaming about CBS sportsline not letting him switch Matt to grossman. Come 8 pm he is talking #### to me.Crap

Saturday.. MSU fan but also route for the Wolverines (yeah I know.. it's like routing for both baseball teams in Chicago.. but oh well).

Michigan starts off beating Wisconsin by 14 as the oddsmakers had predicted. All was good. Everything on track.

The game I am really waiting for, MSU vs Notre Dame.. can the other team from Michigan "upset" the Irish two weeks in a row? Oh it's a blowout! Up 17 by the half and it could have easily been more. Well you all know what happened by now... 2 MSU turnovers in the last few minutes and somehow they blow it and one of the worst losses in MSU history is in the books. :wall:

Ok, it can't get any worse than that.

No sleep at all Saturday night, the usual NFL insomnia. After the smoke has settled:

Huge Browns fan.. had to see a SURE THING given up in the last minute. The CLE+250 was my lock of the week (not a homer pick)... whoops. Against the f'in ravens no less. bitter bitter loss. :wall:

Gore gets 3 tries at the endzone from the 1.. fumbles and is out on the 3rd try. Backup comes in and scores 2 more short easy TDs and Gore is injured. Now the #1 player on my team is questionable for next week and much more likely to be pulled at the goalline. :wall:

Culpepper continues to suck. More doubt settles in about Ronnie Brown's production for the rest of the season. :wall:

Warner who was a no-brainer start for the rest of the season (no penalty for ints in this league) is now getting pulled for Leinart. There is a guy who had Leinart and would have had to drop Leinart and pick someone else up ($5) or get a zero in week 5 if warner doesn't lose his job by then. wtf. :wall:

Opp has: Manning, SJAX, KJones, DJAX, AJohnson, Gould, D.Clark(ind), Steelers, scores 110.

My team: Warner, Gore, R.Brown, K.Johnson, T.Holt, Winslow, Carney, JAX, scores: 94.

[/vent]

after a bryants horrible game and h ward terrible game needed more pts out of colston(though he had a good night) last night to win...lose by 1 pt! :wall: 0-3 now in that league...its a ppr league with 1 pt per 10 yds rec and 6 per td...easy to get 2 extra pts somewhere..

Thanks to Crumpler for dropping a Vick TD pass, Plaxico for being a moron, and the refs from overturning Wayne's 50+ reception. All that and I lose by 4 points. I have now lost 2 games by a total of 4.5 points. This SUCKS.

I want to send a Columbian Death Squad after that mother ####er Knapp. His play calling and Vick's craptastick performance doomed my man Dunn from the get go. First and goal from the 2 and let's call some cute effing gadget play.

Ruined a perfectly good night of watching football for me. Maybe it's time to turn in my FF clipboard. :wall:

:goodposting: I had Vick in one league (I needed 22 pts to win) and Dunn in another. Needless to say I lost both. After NO scored on the blocked punt I just knew ATL was done. Then when they got down by 14 and had a FG blocked and WR's/TE's looked like hand amputees...I turned the TV off before halftime. To make matters worse, I was in a weekly football pot for $120 and all I needed was for ATL to win or keep the score fairly average...which was obviously too much to ask for. Lost to a yahoo who makes his picks throwing darts.

I have a Direct TV remote control in about, oh, 100 pieces this morning because of this same thing. Knapp dumped the run WAY too early especially when it was clear Vick was not going to be able to deliver via the air. Falcons should have continued to run; eat clock and attempt to regain control of the game. I would also like to put my boot squarely in the *** of the person responsible for reporting Matt Jones was in good shape and playing Sunday.

WALI LUNDY :hot:  CHRIS BROWN :hot: :wall:

THESE 2 MORONS ARE GOING TO KILL ME IF THIS CONTINUES ON MY BYE WEEKS!!!!!!!!!!

HOW DOES DAYNE...A REJECT FROM DENVER WHO CAN'T EVEN BEAT COBBS MOVE PASS THIS GUY.

YES HE HAD 2 BAD GAMES, BUT THEY WERE AGAINST 2 TOUGH DEFENSES.

ANYONE ELSE GET BURNED BY THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!??????????????????????

How bout this one? My dynasty league, my best chance at a championship this year.... vick goes down on the last play of the game.... Fujuta is the first one to touch him.... gets credit for a tackle, and I lose by 0.7 points. That on top of Brady living in fear of Champ Bailey :wall: Sunday night, not throwing at him at ALL.... one point, one tackle.

Yeah, yeah, it aint even Week 4 for another 2 hours.....

Going without a kicker today. Offer a guy with 2 kickers, one of which already had a bye week, and only two startable WRs and two serviceable RBs, Issac Bruce for a kicker. Probably the most solid, dependable WR3 out there for a kicker.....and he doesnt think its a good idea. Dude, I'm giving him to you for a KICKER! :wall:
