Week 3 waiver wire (1 Viewer)

I'll start with one that's technically Week 2. I'm thinking of taking advantage of the Yahoo loophole that allows you to drop a bench player who's already played. Because I'm worried about Burrow's status, I'm thinking of dropping Courtland Sutton for Derek Carr in advance of tonight's game. I don't know that he's the best streaming option for Week 3, but he's definitely in the mix, so might as well lock him up while I can. Can always change my mind later

Tank Dell - ascending in what looks like to be a pass-friendly offense and Stroud looks decent out there
Considering him as well, but those Week 2 Houston passing numbers seem unsustainable. No way a rookie QB is going to support three fantasy-relevant WRs. And Nico seems to be the clear WR1

I called out tank last week and he is a must add.

I also think Calvin Austin will be a good add and think there is a high chance he has a decent game tonight!

I can believe that this might up having value, I did enquire in dynasty about him but Dell's owner wanted a bit too much. Still hard to see how he gets beyond a WR3/flex level of production on a consistent which seems moderately easily replaceable

I jumped the gun and was creeping on @Faust's corner. Use this thread instead.

Not at all - I somehow missed that you had already beat me to the punch with creating the weekly waiver wire topic thread and thought that my thread should be merged with your thread - cheers GB
Don't worry, I didn't actually think you were mad at me :hifive:

I think at some level I knew that you typically started the thread, but it wasn't until I saw the Similar Threads at the bottom that I realized it really is your bag.

Jerome Ford and Kareem Hunt make this pretty exciting now
Dont rule out Pierre Strong jr

ESPN Fantasy Projection: Strong was traded to Cleveland in August after the 2022 fourth-round pick was limited to 10 carries and seven targets on 49 snaps in New England as a rookie. Strong made the leap to the pros from FCS South Dakota State, where he produced three 1,000-yard rushing seasons in four years, including a big jump to a 240-1,673-18 rushing line in 2021. He was the fastest back in the 2022 rookie class (4.37 40-yard dash) and was effective on a small sample of work as a rookie (142 yards on 17 touches). Strong will battle Jerome Ford for change-of-pace duties behind Nick Chubb and is a name to monitor

The way Ford is playing, it’s his job to lose. Dual threat and he looks great tonight. I’m going all in where he’s available.

Rostered in all 6 of my dynasty leagues. This is another example where you won’t see him on the waiver wire in dynasty but will in redraft

He’s only available in a couple of my redraft ones also. Was a popular lotto ticket I just didn’t have the space at the time with Chubb still healthy at the moment. Good luck to all who’s bidding!

My running back room is dire

But the wire may be more dire

Mckinnon
Hubbard
Gibson
Breida

Due to injury after injury my starters are currently K Herbert and G Edwards.

This feels bad.

Y’all think Ford has any dynasty/keeper value?
I think so -- I think he can keep it and run with it. I was considering selling him where I had him to fix return, but I'm probably too high relative to league mates... I think I'd probably want a late 1st/early 2nd, but not sure anyone would give that (Is he worse for dynasty than, let's say, Dameon Pierce? I don't think so, and that's probably around where Pierce is being valued, but maybe I'm off on Pierce.)
