Is it just me or is the waiver wire pickups this year very lackluster so far. Not many big impact guys yet.

How can you judge that until later in the season? Slaton could very well carry the Texans. Griese might be the second coming of Warner '07. You can't know till you know - that's why these guys are ON the WW before week 4 games.FWIW, I have seen Stuckey, Galloway, Curtis and Porter on various WWs - if they are available, those are good WRs to pick up and stash. Josh Reed might be a decent pickup (edit - sorry brain fart when I put in McDonald, originally)McLain and Slaton (if available) are the likely impact RBs. I have seen Freddie Jackson, Derrick Ward, Ahmad Bradshaw, and Brandon Jackson also moving on WWs. Freddie Jackson might be a decent pickup anyway in PPR leagues . . . .At QB, I think there is a ton of potnetially decent talent - Kerry Collins, Brian Griese, I even saw Matt Schaub n the WW. And I just dropped Cassell in a league where I owned 4 QBs (don't ask . . .). You could stash guys like Vince Young, Sage, or Jamarcus Russell in deep leagues, too. And let's not forget 2 QB leagues. In those leagues, Damon Huard might be the hot pickup.I am in a return yardage league and I am seriously eyeballing Dante Hall. He has a history with Trent Green and the Rams are clearly going to be returning a lot of kickoffs this year. Ea.kickoff is basically one point in a league that rewards 1/20 return yardage.
