Week 4 2025 who should I start thread **OFFICIALLY UNOFFICIAL** (2 Viewers)

I have Hurts and Mahommes at QB in a start 1 QB league. So far I have followed the experts rankings and started Hurts 1st 2 weeks and Mahommes last week. I am 0 for 3 in choosing the correct 1 costing me 2 wins.

Should I start Mahommes at home versus Baltimore or Hurts at Tampa Bay?

Thanks!
I have Mahomes a camel's breath ahead of Hurts this week, but it's close

Thanks for the original replies to my initial question. I'm removing Chase Brown and Higgins as I now need to see some sort of spark before re-inserting them back into my lineup.

So here is my updated WDIS question. Standard scoring non-ppr league. I need to start 3 of these players:

Etienne vs SF - 7th ranked defense against the run; may have trouble finding lanes
Warren vs Min - 18th against the run but shutdown Brown last week to the tune of 3 yards
Deebo vs ATL - On the turf; If Scary Terry is out, this moves him up the rankings
Hill vs NYJ - I'm guessing sauce will follow him around? Jets defense is 25th against the pass this year

As always, thanks in advance!
ETN would the odd man out for me this week

2QB superflex league - PPR - bonus points for long TDs 40+ 50+

I already have the Williams/Odunze stack which has worked out great.

Mahomie is my other QB so I picked up T. Thornton to run a potential double stack.

So this week...both HR hitters and both at home.

T. Thornton vs. Ravens
or
Jamo vs. Cleveland
Looks like Worthy will be back this week so that may cut into Thorton's looks a bit
Williams in the dome I don't care who the opponent is

Pick 1 Flex...1 PT PPR:

Q Judkins @ DET
Deebo Samuel @ ATL
Devonta Smith @ TBB
Good options and there are arguments to be made for all three.

I've been high on Deebo this week. I really liked what they were doing with him last week. It was a blowout win so, I suspect we didn't see as much as if the game were competitive. I think Atlanta will be competitive if for no other reason than they have a strong, veteran OL. What the Raiders did last week was some JV, amateur hour turnstile B.S. it was truly some of the worst OL play I have seen in 30+ years of watching football.

I think the Browns are going to do everything possible to get Judkins 20 touches/game and try to control the clock. Not sure how that plays out in Detroit but that Browns defense can stymie anyone...almost. I'm tuning in just to watch Myles Garrett go up against Penei Sewell. Matchup of the two best non skill position players in the league.

The Eagles got the pass game working and it's a neutral matchup. Smith can have big games but, I view him as a six target, 60 yard guy with a 50% shot at a TD.

Deebo>Judkins>Devonta

.5ppr

This would be for my WR2, while starting 3 Rb's (Bucky, Walker, Quinshon). My other WR is JSN.

DJ Moore @ LV
Michael Pittman @ LAR

ETA: Caleb is my QB, which is why I've had DJ locked in - for better or worse.

DJ Moore @ LV

I have no problem going with DJ. He's talented and maybe, possibly, hopefully the offense is starting to come together. I think the Raider defense is a lot better than what we saw last week but, if the OL keeps playing like it did against Washington the Bears should be able to run plenty of plays. What I don't like is DJ's usage. He feels like more than a 5 target/2 rush per game guy. But, he's a decent option in a plus matchup.

I like Pittman, he can be a player and is the WR1 in Indy. And it looks like he's getting quality targets with an 84% catch rate at 12.1 y/r. The Rams can score and play solid defense, the Colts may not simply be able to feed Taylor all day.

It's very close and you should start your guy, for me

Pittman>DJ

FBG's agree with you here, but its close. They have Pittman ranked 6 spots ahead of DJ, using my league settings. When its that close? The QB/WR stack comes into play IMO. Which is why i posted here for you fine fellows. Thanks for the thoughts, brother.

Anyone have any words of wisdom for me regarding Trey Benson vs. Seattle?

I grabbed him today, and am seriously thinking of starting him. Historically, whenever I've acquired a new player, but don't start them, I end up kicking myself because they have a very good outing.

I'm happy to start because my teams suck.

Daniel Jones @ LAR
Bo Nix v CIN

I know Jones is an early MVP candidate (can't believe I said that with a straight face) but It's gotta be Bo, right?

Flex spot, Full PPR:
Jameson Williams v CLE
TreVeyon Henderson v CAR
JCM @ ATL

I'm tempted to believe Henderson will see more opportunities this week. He is in my lineup ATM. He won't be full time yet because, I don't believe he has all his protections on lockdown but, with all the fumbling going on with Rhamondre & Gibson they have to give him more opportunities in more obvious running situations and script a few more passes for him, right? And it should be a plus matchup at home too.
Yeah, I think Nix's matchup makes him the call. For what its worth Indy is likely without Alec Pierce this week, which is their field stretcher.

I think its gotta be Henderson at flex. JCM has all the same issues Henderson has, plus is banged up. Williams in PPR is tough to ever really recommend in a tough matchup.
PPR lost CeeDee, need a flex

Rashod Bateman @ KC
Dontayvion Wicks @ DAL

I have Bateman in ATM because it's a top 3 offense but Wicks @ Dallas is very tempting.
I'd pick Bateman for the same reason. Just a likely higher scoring game.
flex 0.5 ppr

DK Metcalf vs Minnesota (early sunday game)
or
Javonte Williams vs Green Bay

Editted to add or Michael Pittman @ Rams
I'd go with Javonte Williams. Gets catches, gets redzone, Dallas won't get shutout.
1PPR
C.Brown @ Den
T.Benson v Sea
C.Godwin v Phi

I should sit Brown until he shows something, but I hate to miss the inevitable game where all the usage clicks. I should wait on Godwin until he knocks off the rust/proves health. I'd like to wait on Benson to verify his upgraded role.

But somebody has to fill my flex spot this week...
Don't love the matchup, but this has to be Benson I think. Brown's matchup is tougher, and Godwin is likely limited.
Chose 1 WR for 1/2 PPR.
Deebo @ Atl
Juedy @ Detroit
M. Golden @ Dallas
J. Jennings vs Jax
K. Coleman vs New Orleans
Feel like Deebo has to be the call with McLaurin likely out, and Daniels likely back.
0.5 PPR:
  • Devonta Smith vs. Bucs
  • Pearsall vs. Jags
  • DJ Moore vs. Raiders
  • Waddle vs. Jets (MNF)
I am leaning Pearsall (Especially if Jennings doesn't go) and Smith but very open to suggestions.
Pearsall is a lock in my eyes, regardless of Jennings status. I'd go Moore at the other spot. Better matchup, and more pass heavy team.
0.5 PPR - Pick 1 to SIT (Yes I have an embarrassment of riches in this 14 team dynasty league)

Barkley @ TB
JTaylor @ LAR
JJacobs @ DAL
ARSB vs CLE
Collins vs TN
Njigba @ AZ
Feels weird to say, but I think I'd sit Jacobs. He's down 2 starting OL (including his best one) and he hasn't looked particularly explosive yet. Could also see them looking to get Love going against a bottom of the barrel pass D. It was Taylor>ARSB>JSN>Barkley>Nico>Jacobs for me.
I am so miffed this morning… I tried to acquire Caleb Williams on waivers, as a backup QG (if not a new Starting QB), but someone else — who already has Josh Allen(!) — got him. SO....

I can grab:

Geno Smith vs. Chicago
Matthew Stafford vs. Indy

Depending on who I end up taking, would I be wise to start them over Daniel Jones (vs. Rams)? TBH, Smith scares me a little. He throws a lot of interceptions....

Now for WRs.... Non-PPR

Keenan Allen @NYG
Zay Flowes @KC
AJ Brown @TB
Emeka Egbuka vs. Philly

Thanks!
I'd go Stafford and I'd start him. He's really been playing as well as ever, just needs the TDs.

Giants secondary is non-existent. I'd say Allen>Egbuka>Flowers>AJ.
Pick 2 ...1 PT PPR:

Tyreek Hill v NYJ
Devonta Smith @ TB
Deebo Samuel @ ATL
Tough to start Smith over the other 2.
Pick 1 for flex 0.5 PPR:

Pickens vs Packers on Sunday night
Walker at Cardinals on Thursday night
With Charbonnet back, and Lamb out, I think Pickens is the play.

I grabbed him today, and am seriously thinking of starting him. Historically, whenever I've acquired a new player, but don't start them, I end up kicking myself because they have a very good outing.
Well, it depends on your options brother. In a vacuum? I like Benson for a TD tonight

That's always the thing.... I've got good options, as it is. I've got Jacobs and K. Williams.

But Jacobs is dealing with an ankle issue.... and Benson is going to benefit from Conner's absence, I am pretty certain.

6 points for Passing TD

Geno Vs. Bears

Or

Brock Vs. Jax
The Niners need a M*A*S*H* unit right now. Pearsall says he's going to play but I haven't heard anything about Jennings. With no Kittle facing a Jags team who plays ugly football, I question the upside.

The Raiders OL played the worst four quarters of football I may have ever seen in 30+ years of watching this game. It was unbelievably bad. And it wasn't much better the week before. But, Geno still manages to show up and put up nice numbers against most mid teams and the Bears are a mid team.

Geno>Purdy

He has a great opportunity in an offense that features the RB. It's a tough matchup for sure but, Benson is in a good spot to produce. Can he? No idea but, I think he'll have opportunity to do so.

Your options are much better than Benson tonight

Jacobs for sure.

Can't decide on this one. Need some help.
TIA for the help
12 team 1 ppr
Dobbins v Cinn
or
Walker v AZ tonight
Good options. Dobbins is running a lot more consistently and he's having a very good year. Not much of a factor in the passing game but, neither is KWIII. He's not being used as a true feature back but, he is getting more looks than KWIII.

KWIII is a fine option too. Running mostly strong but uneven at times. Gets some GL looks too.

I would flip a coin but I think I lean

Dobbins>KWIII

PPR:

Kyle Pitts v WAS
Oronde Gadsen @ NYG

Have Pitts in but, I think we may have seen everything he has to offer and it ain't much.

Standard scoring Non-PPR league.

Kraft vs Dal - Didn't do much last week after injuring his knee late in the week
Hockenson vs Pit - Finally involved last week but of course he was on my bench

Thanks in advance for all of the replies!
I think Kraft is the clear call here. GB is 2nd in projected points this week, and Kraft had a week to get healthier, and Dallas can't cover anything. I think GB may also make it a point to get Love going after he arguably lost them the game last week.
Non-PPR 12 teamer:

Do I start Deebo if McLaurin is out? OR:
Brian Thomas Jr as my other option at WR

Again Non-PPR league
I'm nowhere near ready to start sitting Thomas. Its been frustrating sure, but he's still getting heavily targeted, and its potential sneaky shootout conditions with SF.
FFPC scoring:
Need TWO of the following:

X.Worthy vs Balt.( if healthy)
T.Thorton vs Balt.
D.Mooney vs Wash
W.Robinson vs LAC
If Worthy is playing, I think he's well...Worthy of a shot. I'd roll with Wan'Dale at the other spot, in what is likely a chasing script.
Standard league Need 3 WR:

London vs Wash
Odunze vs LV
Pittman vs LAR
Coleman vs NO
Hollywood vs Balt
Worthy vs Balt
Diggs vs Car

Thanks
I think Odunze is an autostart given the matchup. I'd keep the faith with London, as Penix can't possibly be as bad as last week, without losing the job to Cousins. I'd go Pittman in the 3rd spot in a potential shootout.
Standard League:

Geno vs Ariz

Murry vs Sea
I think Geno against the Bears is just a much better matchup. Kyler has done nothing to earn the benefit of the doubt.
Standard Scoring PPR

Need FLEX x2 from the following:

Courtland Sutton
Javonte Williams
Travis Etienne
Trey Benson
Quentin Johnson

Thank You
That's a really tight one. I think Sutton has the best matchup, so I'd go with him. I lean Benson at the other spot, and with the idea he's featured on a lot of dumpoffs. Sutton>Benson>Williams>Etienne>Johnston was how I rank them.
1 PPR

Javonte Williams vs Packers
Trey Benson vs Seahawks

Thanks!
I think Benson's matchup is slightly better, and Dallas is missing their C and RG
Standard scoring, 6pts all tds

Mayfield vs Eagles
or
Jones @ Rams

I lean Jones currently but not a great matchup for either

Starting Walker and Chase because I have to, final 2 flex spots, need 2 from the following

Judkins @ Lions - brutal matchup but looks to be getting the volume
T.McMillan @ Patriots - assuming he plays
D.Smith @ Bucs - so hard to predict what he might do in a given game, no consistency
BTJ @ Niners - put up with him for the first 3 weeks, just not on the same page as Lawrence
Godwin vs Eagles - assuming he logs full practice, probably too soon but my WRs are devolving into a wasteland before my eyes so i'm tempted
I think Mayfield in a bad matchup with no Evans is tough to justify over Jones in a potential shootout.

Don't bench Thomas, you know the second you do will be the week for him. Its not like he's not getting targets. I think McMillan just edges out Judkins for me for the last spot. Too easy to see a Lions blowout. Browns D is excellent, but it could be the Ravens game all over again for Cleveland.

Ravens
or
Jamo vs. Cleveland
If Worthy is back, I think Williams is the play. I have concerns Thornton's role is what Worthy takes.
.5 PPR

White Hot Keenan Allen @ NYG
New Toy Trey Bensen vs Seattle

Pick one

Could also bench Jeanty vs Chicago (that would be difficult out of stubbornness alone).
I'd sit Benson. Other guys just have WAY better matchups.
Thanks for the original replies to my initial question. I'm removing Chase Brown and Higgins as I now need to see some sort of spark before re-inserting them back into my lineup.

So here is my updated WDIS question. Standard scoring non-ppr league. I need to start 3 of these players:

Hill vs NYJ - I'm guessing sauce will follow him around? Jets defense is 25th against the pass this year

As always, thanks in advance!
I'd sit Tyreek. Likely draws Sauce, and Jets may be one of the only teams that Miami won't be in a chase script against.

Thanks!
I like Mahomes a lot, but Hurts is basically unbenchable, as he gets home whether he passes well or not.
Pick 1 Flex...1 PT PPR:

Q Judkins @ DET
Deebo Samuel @ ATL
Devonta Smith @ TBB
Toss up between Judkins and Deebo. I'm gonna lean Judkins as a garbage time TD feels more likely.

David Montgomery against the browns or jaylen warren against the Vikings?
Feel like Monty is the play there. Way better TD chances in a game that could be a blowout.

I think I'd go Pittman in a potential shootout, which is a homecoming for the former USC Trojan.
6 points for Passing TD

Geno Vs. Bears

Or

Brock Vs. Jax
I'd roll Geno against the Bears. I'll be curious to see where Purdy's mobility is at given his toe injury.
Can't decide on this one. Need some help.
TIA for the help
12 team 1 ppr
Dobbins v Cinn
or
Walker v AZ tonight
I like Dobbins matchup a lot more this week.
PPR:

Kyle Pitts v WAS
Oronde Gadsen @ NYG

Have Pitts in but, I think we may have seen everything he has to offer and it ain't much.
I'd probably stick with Pitts. Likely a chase script and Gadsden is likely gonna be no higher than 5th in the Chargers pecking order.

12 Team PPR: Need 2

Walker @ Arizona
Pearsall vs Jax
Jordan Mason @ Pitt
I think I would ride the hot hand with Mason. The Steelers defense has been mid at best and he's the only show in town.

Pearsall was great last week and a fine option in PPR. I'm a little concerned about his knee and just everything that is going on with the Niners injuries. But, he should be a very good start in PPR.

KWIII is another good option but his usage is a little uneven and Charbonet is back. KWIII>>>Charbonet but the Seahawks seem comfortable spelling KWIII. His snap share went from 40% to 35% to 53% last week with no Charbonet

Mason>Pearsall>KWIII

But I could easily flip flop on Mason and Pearsall

Need one Flex PPR:

WanDale Robinson vs LAC
Charbonnet @ Ariz
Worthy vs Balt
Kirk vs Tenn
I think I like the way Kirk was used last week. 8 targets and a good matchup that I think Houston wins.

I'm okay taking a Wait and see approach with Worthy and Wan'Dale.

Kirk>Worthy>Wan'Dale

MHJ or ETN

In 0.5 PPR
Sorry I didn't get to this. Probably would have landed on ETN
I posted it like 3 minutes before game time haha.

After looking more at it, I think it was really "Harrison or Waddle." And I probably still would have benched Waddle.

I figured they would come out and try to force feed MHJ--and they have.

I typed this up and then closed the computer to eat dinner. Marv has since saved the day with a TD.
