Week 4 Injury Thread (1 Viewer)

I know Mort is speculating only 1-2 weeks, but that doesnt sound too good :boxing:
Apparently the theory is the kneecap just pops out of place and then back in without any real structural damage. It sounds like that's certainly possible, but it's also possible that there is other damage in the area that the MRI will reveal.

Why does anyone care about Stafford? Is there a league out there where he's actually rostered?
Mods - please investigate as there is no way possible a three digit member would make a comment such as this which leads me to believe this individuals account was hacked. Thanks!

With regards to Eli, I have read varying reports. I think they are calling it a bruised heal at the moment, but they will perform tests tomorrow. Some are speculating that it could be much worse than a bruised heal. Nothing is known at the moment so any talk about it is just speculation.
He didn't seem too concerned with the injury when he was talking after the game. I'm sure it'll heel okay.

I had a subluxation...it's not the worst thing in the world. I was on crutches for a couple days, walking without a limp within a week or two (and I did very little to rehab it).

Bob Papa (radio voice for Giants) also hosts Opening Drive on Sirius. Said he talked to Eli Manning after game and things didn't seem too serious. Will be telling how sore it is today. The worry was an achilles but everyone seems to think it was more the heel.

Please drop this angle. Of course Stafford is a player that it's important to know about his status. Please keep all posts in this thread on topic. Thanks.J

my main concern is anything associated with the achilles tendon, heel including the heel. The calcaneus (heel bone) could just be bruised, I just hope there is no structural damage to the achilles. I would hate to see that happen.

I agree. It was also a non-contact injury so a bruise is kind of strange. The way it happened has me concerned. It looked eerily like Vinny Testaverde's achilles injury years ago.

News not all that bad for Eli.

Confirmed plantar fasciatis, which, while painful as hell, shouldn't be a huge setback. We all know the Manning brothers aren't the picture of mobility, but this should force him to be a little bit quicker acting in the pocket.

I listened to a foot and ankle doctor on Sirius NFL radio this morning, and he said that Eli won't be able to "treat" the area prior to gametime, menaing numbing it like some players do prior to gametime, but he should be fine.
