Week 4 Injury Thread (1 Viewer)

did something happen to benson? i notice it seems he has not been in the game recently. ugh.

Hester questionable to return with shoulder injury

Adrian Peterson is out for rest of game (ribs)

Calvin Johnson went down hard and was on sidelines in pain, but he is the magic man, back in and just caught a pass. Good for all CJ owners. They were saying it was his wrist, but it looked like they were working on his leg. Nevertheless nothing of concern he is fine

keith bulluck down with a head or neck injury as they went to a commercial break on the last play tackling garrard...looked like he landed on his right shoulder....could be a stinger

I notice Fargas is in for the Raiders. Coaching decision or is there an injury to McFadden and/or Bush?

Boss got hurt, but we are going into halftime so no word on what it was or how bad. Looked like a knee injury.

Calvin Johnson again slow to get up but stays in but needed to use official to get off ground. Stafford looked like he was horsecollared, but the Bears guy just grabbed a shirt but Stafford immediately clutched his knee. Did not look good, but he got off field, we will have to see if he comes back on next series as they kicked field goal

Stafford is getting his knee looked at on the sideline.

Culpepper warming up

Culpepper warming up, that is not a good sign.

Stafford's knee wrapped pretty heavily and he's not putting weight on it really on the sideline....not looking good.

Any news on Stafford?
Haven't heard anything official, but watching the play he had a defender fall sideways onto his leg as he was getting thrown down for a sack. Didn't look like it bent much from the cam angle, but he immediately grabbed his leg. trainers looked at him and shut him down for the days, with some sort of protective sleeve over his knee. Sure there will be more detail after the postgame interviews...

Yeah, it's not like they're going to announce a torn ACL within an hour after the game. Give it some time to find out exactly what's wrong.

According to the scroll on NFLN, Stafford has a dislocated knee cap, more tests on Monday.

ESPN's Chris Mortensen reports that Matthew Stafford's knee was briefly dislocated in Sunday's loss to the Bears. The term for a temporary dislocation when it's popped back in is a "subluxation." The Lions are "hoping" that the damage wasn't severe, but Stafford will undergo more tests on Monday to determine the extent. Unfortunately, the secretive Lions almost certainly won't release the results. Mort does say that the Lions are confident Stafford won't miss more than 1-2 weeks. I know Mort is speculating only 1-2 weeks, but that doesnt sound too good :wall:

With regards to Eli, I have read varying reports. I think they are calling it a bruised heal at the moment, but they will perform tests tomorrow. Some are speculating that it could be much worse than a bruised heal. Nothing is known at the moment so any talk about it is just speculation.
