Week 5 - Using SOS for lineups (1 Viewer)

When looking at SOS - how much do you let it dictate your starting lineup? (This is a strategy question - not a specific WDIS question)

I noticed in week 5, there is an extreme example at the QB position.....

Orton - one of the best QBs so far this season - is facing Baltimore, the stingiest defense in QB FF points allowed (by a large margin)

VS.

Fitzpatrick - facing JAX, the easiest passing defense for QBs so far in 2010.

My assumption is that most with Orton would be starting him, as Moreno is still out and the team likes to throw, throw, throw.

But is the smart move to pick up Fitzpatrick for the week as most QBs in the NFL can look pretty good against a poor defense, but even great QBs can look bad against stingy defenses?

I remember watching Peyton against the dominant Ravens' defenses a few years ago and Manning would look far different than the week prior against an average defense.

In this case, if Fitzpatrick gets to sit in the pocket comfortably and pick apart a below average secondary - is he more likely to put up more points when compared to a guy averaging over 300 YPG against a great, pressure defense like Baltimore?

Mine probably isn't as dramatic, but I am starting Eli Manning (against Houston) over Kyle Orton (against Baltimore).

I keep going back and forth on it though, because if I had a player like Drew Brees who is SUPPOSED to be as great as Orton has been, I would never think of benching him, regardless of the opponent.
