Week 5 Venting Thread (1 Viewer)

Giants called for holding on Jacobs 2nd TD.

I'm demanding a performance league next year or I'm not playing.

Seem to be spending a lot of time in the venting :hot: section this season...

Ben Watson on my bench this week in favor of Cooley (26 yards and a TD). But Watson explodes this week -- 107 yards and 2 TD's... And I made the last-minute change based on the news that Moss was a no-go... Un-F'ing-Real... :kicksrock:

I got a combined THREE points from Hasselbeck, LJ and Josh Brown. And I'm sure Lee Evans will follow this up with one of his 2-catch, 19 yard games just to make it worse.

Speaking of LJ, I dare you to find a worse stat line than this:

9 carries, 12 yards/5 catches, 3 yards

SERIOUSLY.

Unless I have a top-5 pick, I am going Manning/Brady in the first and Gates in the second. Those guys are so friggin' consistent, they are worth more than almost every other player. Given the injuries and inconsistency at the position this year, RBs are overrated.

Discuss.

(yes, it looks like i am going 0-fer in all my leagues this week due to horrendous QB and RB play, and yes this is frustration talking, and yes RBs are worthmore than that, and yes I would never open a draft QB/TE)

Gates in the 2nd ??

Perhaps you'd like some help with your future lineup decisions.

Just post your questions right here, in the Shark Pool. :goodposting:

guy in my league has ####ty rb's, took manning first and gates in the 3rd ---- he's one of the top teams.

I thought I was in for another awesome year having SA & LJ again, but they suddenly forgot how to play football!!! Now I can't trade them for a damn pack of gum!

Looks like I'll be handed my 1st lose of the year by the worst team in my division...

Yes - I shoulda done that - sorry.

The person I am facing lost Jordan and Caddy last week so was reduced to starting Najeh Davenport. I have Willie Parker and hey what do you know? After Parkers 2 long runs, Davenport gets 2 td's and also gets a 45 yard run! Davenport-21 points Parker-10 is that a joke?? Then I also have Santonio and he injures his hammy pre-game workouts WTF!

Pennington

Bush

Parker

Bowe

Cotchery

Holmes

Cooley

Seattle

Kaeding

LOSES TO...

Schaub

Dunn

Davenport

Driver

Randle el

Derrick Mason

Dallas Clark

Houston d

Gould

HOW DOES THAT HAPPEN!?!??!?!?!?!?!?!?!

Linehan deserves to be fired.

Anyone who puts the game in Frerottes hands when he has a back who is having success running the ball, deserves exactly what he got.

2 ints in critical drives, that eventually lost them the game.

Some will say he deserves a pass because of the injuries but today had nothing to do with injuries. He had an opportunity to win the game annd he blew it by calling horrible plays. He deserves to go before he screws up the #1 pick they're going to get next year!

Calvin Johnson is waste of my roster space. The only reason I used him was Mason's questionable status. His point total tied both Hines Ward and Marvin Harrison. Oh wait - they didn't even play. Actually I scored the same amount of points as Calvin and I didn't play either.

who would have thought, the guy without a computer and little fantasy football knowledge is about to go 5-0 due to his draft position

meanwhile i bust my ### reading up on things and about to lose this week....hell brady himself outscored my team so far

thanks kitna, calvin, tom jones, and everyone else that bombed or is hurt

Hasselbeck

Thomas Jones

Cotchery

....7pts combined.

FWP gets enough points from yards but could have saved me this matchup if he'd got the red zone looks.

Wayne looking average.

I'd like to send out a big F U to Vince Young. since my other post was apparently deleted. woops, sorry to mods.

Kenton Keith Two TD's.

Najeh Davenport Two TD's.

Willie Paker 0 TD's.

You can't make this stuff up folks.

What do you do when you win EVERY SINGLE week on paper and you end up going 2-3?? I hate watching this crap when I have a team that should win and I lose. If my team looks like a dud fine I'll take the loss but this getting beat every week by absolute crap is tearing my heart out.

I think this just isn't the game for me. I need something where when I work my butt off to get the odds in my favor I actually get a payout of some sort. Something to show for my effort.

I would venture to say any RB that is on a NFL roster would have decent success in Indy.

Teams have so much respect for Peyton..even with Harrison out that the rBs can`t help but succeed.

Rhodes was an undradfted FA..had good success, Keith comes from Canada, punches in two today. Mungro was a TD machine..it does not matter.

Plus the fact that I have LJ and suffering everyweek..and to watch a Hamilton TigerCat..or wherever he played get two TDs is frosting me!!

:)

Anyone can run in Indy. Addai is not special. James Mungro looked awesome in Indy at one point.

Needed to pick up a TE due to Heap's injury. I was deciding between Graham and Alex Smith. Guess who I picked?

Dear Willis McGahee,

I promise a monster will not eat you should you venture into the endzone

Kenton Keith has now had a bigger (1) day then Willie Parker and Travis Henry combined in week one, week two, week three, week four, and week 5.

 At some point each season I get real aggravated with the epiphany that despite looking at and following the wonderful charts and statistics in FBG articles, so much of this hobby is just dumb luck.

Norv Turner - you are worthless.

How he's managed to ruin LTs # is amazing. Run him a little @ the beginning of the game between the 20s - then call pass plays in the red zone. Finally get a lead in a game, and put in Turner who goes off for the slop #s and a score. MT outscoring LT by a nice margin. Needed something from MT last week due to injuries and he gets me a -1 for one carry (minus a yard) and a fumble.

150 yds combined for LT is decent. But after finally getting a #1 pick, coming off 30 tds last year, I'm lucky to have drafted well elsewhere.

Oh, and Denver is DONE. They look HORRRRRRRRRRRRRRIBLE.

Since we have had people lighting up Turner, Linehan, and (thanks to me) Cameron, I propose a 3 way trade. Miami will gladly take Linehan. The Chargers can have Cam back. The Rams get Norv.

How does that sound to everybody?

When you got the starting running backs on teams that scored 41 and 34 points you would think you would get a little piece of that action! Portis and LT didn't even sniff the end zone.

Worst week in 15 years playing Fantasy football. Check this out

Kitna - 2 points

Portis - 3 points - Sellers 2 td's

Parker - 4 points - Davenport 2 td's

Mc Gahee - 4 points

Holmes - 0 points

Mc Donald - 0 points

Daniels - 3 points

K.C. Defence - 6 points - I left Arizona & Washington on the bench. They both scored td's.

Folk - ?

22 Fricken points. First week I ever had where I did not score one (1) fricken td.

Nice to see Plaxico tearing it up on my bench.

Good to see almost all my offensive players go belly-up on a team where I am going against MJD and Gates. :goodposting:

Td heavy scoring

Cutler

Henry

Lendale

Driver

Roy

Shockey - only Td of the bunch so far.

Hanson

Chicago D/ST

Left these guys on the bench.....

Rivers

Jacobs

Ward

MJD

S.Young

Crayton

Stover

Tenn D/ST

Gotta love those FBG ratings! They have gotten Rivers/Cutler wrong every week and it's killing me!

Right now I'm the second highest scorer in my big $ league this week. And I'm losing by 40 to the high scorer. :wall:

But he's done, and I still have Marion Barber, Jason Witten, and the Bears D left to play. The past four weeks, those three have combined for 41, 39, 46, and 39 points. So this one might come down to the wire. :fingerscrossed: Of course, with my luck, they'll go for 39 again, and I'll lose by a point.

.20!!

I am going to lose by .20.

If Leftwhich throws and incomplete pass on the last play of the game instead of taking a sack, I win.

Ugh!

This is one of the funniest posts I have ever read. I have come back in to this thread just to get a good laugh a couple times tonight. (It reminds me of a book I read my kids called "There's a Monster at the End of this Book")

I have them both. This week simply tops off the worst day of fantasy football in an already the 2nd worst start to the year in an 11 year career. Its bizzaro world year!!! Nothing is lining up - almost nothing!!! Oh and thanks DET - great day. Oh and I have Kenton Keith - but how the heck can you start when you don't know if Addai is playing or not?? So you start D. Foster over MJD. F'ing smooth.

So despite having Kenton Keith and Antonio Gates Im still gonna lose cuz Kitna scored 1 pt, Portis was vultured, my WRs combined for 6 pts (Galloway, Welker, Holmes), and I got my ### kicked by Kris Brown (22 pts). If my opponent picks up any other kicker or his kicker isnt on a bye (Akers) I wouldve won.
