Week 5 Waiver Wire pickups (1 Viewer)

Foster owners will need to go after Ward this week, myself included. Not sure how much FA $$$ to bid..

Absolutley Michael Bush. McFadden down with a hammy injury ( same injury slowed him last year and all pre season) and he looked pretty powerfull.

Foster Owners might want Ward but otherwise he will typically see very few carries unless Foster misses another team meeting. Once Foster was back in the game it was all Foster.

Seriously? Michael Bush is available in some of your leagues?
Yes, because up to this point McFadden has been getting all of the carries. I'm the only one who has actually picked him up but after the week he came back and he still wasn't a focal point of the offense, that's when I dropped him knowing that it's now the McFadden show. McFadden will be okay, probably just a minor hamstring.

He was actually dropped in my league prior to the regular season. I picked him up just before the season opener and have considered dropping him multiple times, but decided to hang on to him because the Mcfadden owner has been trying to get him from me...and it's good trade bait.

His % of owner ship dropped to 65% last week CBS. He was dropped in a ton of leagues from reading the other Bush threads on the other sites and cant blame people for dropping a backup RB who has been injured from pew season and gets 3 carries a game until now. I was going to drop him this morning for Torain and someone beat me to it . I would have dropped him after this week if it wasnt for Dmac injury. Glad to have him now.

Can't wait till people quit thinking this is impressive
+1
Exactly!! I dropped him because of injuries and the bye week I had to try and guess where to get some points from. I held on to him as long as I could, but had to drop him this week. I picked up Torain. So like someone else said in this forum, "The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away".... :-)

Thinking about him but didn't see the game. If Portis misses time will he be involved in the passing game at all?
Well they cut Keiland Williams and LJ. Im not even sure what other backs they have rostered. I know Portis wasnt 100% last week, but he didnt get knocked out of the game and it was looking like a 50/50 split. Even if Portis doesnt suffer a significant injury worse than his dings right now, I think Torain will be seeing a dozen touches/week usually from here on out.

Ward seems to have handcuff value and will get picked up very likely NOT by the Foster owners the majority of which are low on the ww claim list in most formats. Question is for a dynasty do I cut Slaton to clear that roster space for Ward or not? TOugh call I'll probably not have to make.

Gettis seems kind of obvious for very deep leagues and maybe Golden Tate. We'll see how tomorrow goes but I expect Brandon Tate's role to continue to grow.

Parmele may be a really deep stash with McGahee, McClain, and Rice all dinged up. See the insider site for dynasty value.

Curious to see who the Skins claim if Portis is out for awhile. When does Keilan Williams clear waivers?

In shallow leagues obviously Mike Bush may have been cut.

Celek if cut in a shallow format is more valuable with Kolb than Vick.

14 man rosters in one of my leagues, start 1-2-2-Flex-TE-PK-Def...where you gonna store a guy like Bush 3 weeks into the season?
On the bench, where else? I drafted Michael Bush and stashed him on my bench cuz I knew McFadden wouldn't hold up. Seriously, I can't believe some people thought McFadden was for real this season. We all knew about his injuries - he was bound to get hurt again. And to think some people wouldn't trade McFadden for MJD. Ridiculous. If Michael Bush is available for waivers in your league, get him now. I would say most shark leagues he's not.

It's gonna have to be a lot!!
You guys sure Ward's performance wasn't a by-product of Foster's benching and Oakland's horrible run D?
ward only played becuz Foster pissed off the coach. he is only an injury handcuff
I wouldn't be so sure. Kubiak is a major wild card with respect to his RBs, and Ward performed very well behind Houston's OL. If Foster breaks more team rules or puts the ball on the ground or like you said gets injured, it could easily be Ward's show. Even if Foster doesn't, I don't see how you can say with confidence that Ward hasn't earned some carries in this backfield. This reeks of a situation where in seven days, a thread titled "Week 6 Waiver Wire pickups" will come up, and some annoying guy will post in it "You mean Ward is still available in your guys' leagues??!?!??!?!?!?? In all competitive leagues like mine Ward was picked up after his big game against the Raiders!!!!!!!!!!!!" ;)

I disagree because 14 man rosters starting 9 of them, and then you factor in bye weeks...18-20 man rosters sure but you're not gonna roster a guy like Bush after what McFadden did the 1st couple weeks and if you can you are a long way from being 3-0 heading into this week.

I kinda like Rashad Jennings at least for a spot start this coming week.

Jacksonville has Buffalo next week. Jennings gets 7-10 touches a game as it is...if he can get 10-12 next week against Buffalo, he may have some value.

Also, like Torain

And Blount has a decent stretch of games where he will be playable

95% of the players listed are not available in competitive leagues.
Seriously, why even post buddy. Not only have you not contributed anything to the conversation, but you've shown that you are a shallow jerk who thinks he's somehow "special" because he's in a "competitive" league. Well guess what, I'm in a 17 year old extremely competitive 10 man league with small roster space and locked positions. He's available, as well as Torian and Ward (until about 3 hours ago). This site is not exclusive to 16 team dynasty league people. Maybe they are in 8 man leagues. Who cares? Everyone is welcome to post. And should be able to do so without you trying to take a dump on them.

Question, Which of these backs would you drop MBIII for? He is the worst player on my team at the moment so he would be the drop.

What are you in, a 6 team league?! :bag:
12 man league standard. My other backs are Foster,McCoy, Sjax and I just dropped Tolbert to waivers (Damn) So who is better than MBIII? Bush probably if Mcfadden is out for a while. Yes?
