Week 6 Game Thread - NY Giants at Cleveland Browns (1 Viewer)

I thought this Giants D was supposed to be good.

At least I can enjoy this as an Eagles fan while my fantast team tanks.

Like the quick passes so far - that's about 4 quick hitters/WR screens so far.
That's as far as Anderson can throw w/any accuracy.whoops, 3 straight whiffs, maybe not
O RLY?
Any remotely decent pass would have been a TD.
If by remotely decent you mean perfect, then you are right on. That was a 60 yard pass that was short by a half step, that sa very good pass.

Wow does Derek look good

So nice to see Dinkins get that TD. He's played for several teams often gets his position switched dramatically, like from Offense to Defense, and he just keeps contributing however he can.

 You gotta be kidding me. Edwards didn't even have to adjust. He just got outrun.
No. The ball was under thrown a bit.
They just showed it again. Slightly underthrown. But certainly a much better pass than "remotely decent."
Remotely decent was an overstatement for sure, but I still say that an NFL QB should be able to throw a pass on that play that would result in a TD.

i think the Giants are confused about which Steve Smith they have, kind of like the one guy in every league who drafts the wrong one on MFL

Why did that play need to be challenged? Did it make a difference? I'm not watching the game.
They checked to see if it was an incomplete pass or a fumble. It really wasn't close, but it's inside 2 minutes.
Did it make a difference in the outcome of the play? They can change the ruling after the game if they want.
Could have affected the Giants field position.
How?! This is the question I'm looking for the answer to. There was illegal contact called on the play.

I thought it was to see if the illegal contact happened first or if the ball was loose first. An incomplete pass or fumble both would have been trumped by the penalty, so I'm not sure if that would have been worth looking at.

I think they reviewed it to make certain the penalty occurred prior to Eli fumbling the ball.

Don't know. Faller may be correct.ETA: Just watched it again. Tirico said if it had been ruled incomplete, it would have affected the Giants position, but I think the other posts about checking the timing of the contact are correct.

I don't trust most play-by-play guys for full understanding of the rules. Al Michaels is usually pretty good.

Smith is 6/70...I just tuned in, caught a quick glimpse and Smith dropped the ball I saw thrown to him. Toomer has zero catches, and while I certainly didn't start him in any leagues, just curious if Smith is now ahead of Toomer, or if there was an injury...

it may be a cliche, but it looks like the old eli is back... at least for tonight

in general, i think the giants are seriously overrated this year... besides the skins, their other 3 opponents had a total of 1 win in 5 weeks... it'll be interesting to see where they stand after their divisional games

no injury... several of those rec came right before halftime when NY was running their 2 min offense....

Giants look like crap (and the defense has already cost me my fantasy game)

Hope they wake up and get out of Cleveland with a win

i guess i should also mention that burress isn't beating the single coverage... eli is reading the man on man and throwing it up to his guy...

Giants defense thusfar thru the 3rd Qtr: 0 int, 0 sacks, 0 fum, 20 pts given up, 320+ yards given up :P
I have another POV that many will find strange...but I saw an OL in Cleveland that should be dominant going back to last seson...and Anderson also has not had a full array of weapons...maybe Cleveland is just simply atarting to find its groove. I really am surprised people think a SB Champion that returned a lot of its players is so overrated...they win games, period, maybe other teams should try it.

That's a :lmao: Their O-line is playing extremely well tonight, even taking into consideration the quick drops.
