last year bulger injured same (throwing) shoulder & i think missed a few games... martin was awful in relief... i'm not watching game, but it sounds like he is at least getting completions, but not do many sound downfield... more dink & dunk variety.
it may be harder to run if colts can now key on jackson... if we were DC, it would make sense to dare martin to beat them.
back to bulger... if it was mild injury, he would probably be playing... so if it more than mild, hopefully a 1-2 week injury... they play in weeks 7 & 8, than their bye occurs week 9... if he isn't right by week 8, they may want to rest him for a second game so he can have the bye for an extra two weeks of rest... he wouldn't have to return until week 10... nov 13 almost a month away.
NO week 7
JAX week 8
bulger's shoulder bothered him into the off-season, & he rested it for longer than normal. he is kind of on the frail side, & has never made it through a season unscathed. on the positive, barron looks like a monster & there is hope bilger could get better protection than he has ever enjoyed, IF they can get that interior OL shored up.
a better run/pass mix would take pressure off bulger as well.
i was about to post last night that bulger was pacing to break marino's passing yardage in a season record (5,100+ yards?), but didn't want to jinx him.... i have him in a few leagues (two dynasty). my supertitious omission was to no avail.
* my man otis post was not up when i was composing this, but i think this is most likely way this plays out.
