Week 8 - Buy Low - Sell High (2 Viewers)

Offered Howard and Dez (plus Cohen and Watkins) for Hunt and Mariota.  Haven't heard back but not optimistic.

Gotta start somewhere. It's a 1st offer, not final. Clearly Rodgers > Stafford. This is dynasty FYI
Sorry, I wouldn't touch this trade. Sure Rodgers better now. But Stafford a few years younger.

The main gap is Hunt to Murray. Murray looks about done.

Hunt >>>>>>>>>>>>>>Murray    Rodgers >>> Stafford

Traded Thielen for Alex Smith in a 6pt per TD league -1 int's

Needed a QB to pair with Rivers and play matchups. Don't use Thielen much going forward I don't think.

Traded Dez, THill, TTaylor for Freeman and 2018 1st round Pick

Can start 3 rb and 1 wr so now start Brees, Bell, Freeman, Ajayi, AJGreen, Kelce

Couple moves to teams with big bye week issues

Tyrell Williams and Jared Cook for Golden Tate

Buck Allen and Donte Moncrief for Jimmy Graham and Marquise Lee

Yes, we know. Hence the RB downgrade is offset by the QB upgrade. I forgot to add that I also included Collins in the deal. Either way, since everyone thinks no go, I pulled the offer.

price has not dropped at all on fournette, unless there is intel he's up against a 4-5 week injury (sounds like he was close this week, should be back next week)
He was just moved in a 12 team .5 PPR redraft I'm in for for D. Watson, McKinnon and Ertz.  The team moving Fournette is 2-5 and has been decimated by injuries this year, currently starting Brissett at QB and Kittle at TE.

I knew someone would be able to buy low! Well done.

People sometimes panic if you have a bad record AND a player is on bye.

doesn't seem like a buy low to me. gets a top 3 QB, #1 TE and a rb2/3 for fournette? granted 2 of the players drafted WW pickups.... but their value today is what's important.  not that it's perfect, but per the CBS trade value chart he got 78 worth of value for a 39 player (39 being elite)

In a 0.5 PPR league.  Yeah give me Fournette all day.  Watson will slowly regress as the year goes on just my opinion.  I didn't think people used the CBS value chart.  I use FBG's

I would never trade Hunt unless I got a nice haul in return. For example, in one of my leagues I was offered Michael Thomas/Mixon, for Hunt/Garcon. I countered Hunt/Moncrief, in exchange for Michael Thomas/Ingram.. and we had a deal. A little Saint heavy, but I like that combo much better moving forward. Since week 3 Hunt hasn't been a superstar.
Would you do Hunt for M. Gordon?  I might be able to swing that deal with a small sweetener

Regarding selling Juilo... like what would it take to deal him? Would a low end RB1 + WR2 or low end WR1 + RB2 be enough? Let's say.... Alvin Kamara and Marvin Jones Jr.. Even that seems low.
He was just traded for a 4th round pick in my one player keeper league (13 rounds in the draft).  His owner was 0-7.  I'm considering trading a future 4th for Antonio Brown myself if his owner falls out of playoff contention in the next two weeks, prior to the trade deadline.

Was able to flip Fuller for Graham and Hurns. Then turned around and traded Hurns, Tyreek, and Ginn for AJ Green. So essentially traded Hill, Fuller, and Ginn for Green and Graham.

I think his post is fine for this thread and in keeping with many others already posted.

Just traded Brady for Hyde and Marvin Jones. Not the best trade in the world but I have Watson and am hurting at RB with Montgomery falling off a cliff.

OK throwing a bold one out there.  Could Ertz be a sell high with Jason Peters out for the year?  I know Ertz isn't known as a blocker but it could mean he does more blocking or at least more chipping.

They could go more 2 TE also with Ertz the pass catching TE.  Ertz seems to be Wentz' main dump off when scrambling

Any trades involving Alex Collins, D. Murray and/or Ajayi lately? I am thinking about moving all 3 to get a better starting RB.

Collins is an obvious buy. Once they get their passing game fixed then he'll have more running lanes available to him. he just looks great.

Is Ty Montgomery an extreme buy low?  I'm sure he could be had for pennies on the dollar with the arrival of Aaron Jones.  If anything were to happen to Jones, Ty seemingly slots back into that role pretty well. No Rodgers really hurts his upside, but I haven't watched much of the Packers other than the Vikings game.

The most obvious by since Spencer Ware went down 8/25. Now go visit the Collins thread & chuckle at the comments.

Well, who is buying him & for what? I will shop him where I own him to see what I can get. In the league where I do not, I am seeing what I can get him for.

Aaron Jones and Evan Engram are suddenly bright spots on anemic offenses. My feeling is that opponents will start to focus on them; neither will continue their current pace. Sell high now before they come down to earth.

No way am I selling high on Engram especially with Sterling returning next week to take pressure off of him.

Giants will be throwing a ton and their schedule going forward is a thing of beauty to behold.

The Packers lost Rodgers and so may not be a top 5 passing offense for the rest of the year, but they still have very good receivers and their QB will throw for more than 87 yards most weeks. Seems over the top to describe their offense as anemic.

The Giants are certainly not as good with out OBJ but this is part of why it is such a good thing to have Engram who is on pace for 120 targets 69 receptions 782 yards 7 TD this year.

I think both of these players will continue to be useful starters in fantasy this year and no real reason to expect their performance to decline based on the circumstances or talent surrounding them.

Good discussion. This is my take - both players had excellent games for two consecutive weeks. If you believe they will come down from those numbers moving forward (however slightly), there is probably a way for you to trade them for more than their current perceived value today. I love Aaron Jones. Think he is a ridiculous talent. But I don't see him replicating 20 carries, 130 yards and a touchdown every week. If you can move him for a player in the next tier up,  I would say do it.

Love the dialog.
