Week 8: I'm starting Mike James vs Carolina Thread! (1 Viewer)

I am gonna play him tonight...but I lack the confidence you do. Are you just talking yourself into it, or do you have some reason to believe he will suddenly improve the Bucs ground game?

Was hoping I didn't have to start him but with Demarco most likely playing then Randle becomes worthless.. My RB's are horrible.. Let's hope he does better than most think he will..

Same boat my friend

Its Murray, Randle, Gio, Joique, Helu, and Mike James

gotta go with James tonight...lets go! hype train will start tonight. Book it.

I'm rolling with him in 5 different $$$ leagues.

Partly because of little choice, partly because all year I've banked on the "proven, can't miss" elite studs who've done worse than unknown rookies.

So yeah, I'll roll the dice. It quite literally can't get worse than some of the other big pre-season guys who've screwed me without the benefit of lube.

Not rolling him out this game but managed to roster him late. Hope he can tie a weak RB crew together but tonight it's DMac and Sproles.

It was between Deangelo and MJ for me.....went MJ. I'm hoping he doe damage in the passing game, already looked good on that one catch.

He looks good so far. I'm going to put in a trade offer for TRich after the game. I only had to see about 2 plays to see he had better vision than Richardson.

:excited:

The RB of destiny for my 1-6 squad! (I'll keep you posted).

Seriously though, kid looks good. 8/36 (4.5 YPC) on the ground, with 8/9 backfield rushes, and 2/18 receiving against a pretty solid defense is a fantastic 1H for a WW add. If he keeps up the volume, and doesn't drop off a cliff productivity wise, he's a low RB2/high flex simply by virtue of opportunity.

Unreal...James was playing well the whole game and then on that drive Tampa Bay uses Leonard the entire drive...

I have a feeling were going to see a lot of "Why is Brian Leonard getting touches?" posts.
I have to admit, James did look pretty good. If TB were ever able to actually grab a lead/control a game he could probably hold some real value. Too bad he has to travel to SEA next week.

Apropos of nothing, what is it with Tampa and their running backs all having 2 first names.

Doug Martin

Mike James

Brian Leonard

So we should expect Tampa to draft Melvin Gordon in next years draft?

Yikes...by the reaction of MJ owners in this thread, you would think he had a great game. Not a mediocre at best game.

39 yards rushing...Mike James has arrived to save your fantasy squad

Some leagues count receiving yards and catch too ;)

10.4 in my PPR league...

I think Brian Leonard vultures his TDs further decreasing his value ESPECIALLY WITH SCHIANO AROUND :)
Glennon now has the NFL record for passing attempts over his first 4 games. Whoever replaces Shiano should (hopefully) lean on the run a bit more.

I agree but while Schiano is there, it will minimize James value for two reasons - The passes and his former Rutgers player Leonard vulturing TDs
