Tee Higgins at NYJ-  Jets suppress WR scoring by being so bad against the run and not scoring enough to necessitate an aggressive passing game. For those of you thinking of benching Mixon, watch the NE game last week. You could easily end up benching 3 tuddies. So It looks juicy and Higgins could certainly blow up but they Bengals could just as easily be resting starters in the 4th quarter.  Still, I'm leaning this way.

Darrel Williams vs NYG- KC on a get right game? Weird things happen every week in the NFL. Like the Giants being a dominant team and KC being a putrid tire-fire on offense. Water seeks its level this week. 

Versus: 

Jerry Jeudy vs Washington- Seems like DEN gave him an extra week so maybe he's closer to 100%? Washington vs WR is a smash spot. I love it when a guy goes off on the "Let's see him do it" game but then that's the best game of his season. Can easily see him catching 6-7 balls and a td. 

Elijah Mitchell at CHI. Looked amazing on the first drive last week then ??? Usage looked very predictable. 1-10, 2-10 or less. SF offense looked just putrid after the first drive. On paper this looks like a low scoring affair with two struggling offenses. 

Toney- I don't have a roster spot to burn on a backup plan for a Monday maybe.

I would go with Johnson but I wouldn't fault anyone going with Pittman, it's a close call.

Tee over Jeudy easily.  I want to see how Jeudy does and get through the game without any aggravation of the ankle injury.

I would go with Mitchell over Williams.  With Mitchell, you know that you will get 15-20 carries.  Can't say that with Williams.

Also having Waller bye week blues (or is that just the “why did I burn a 2nd rounder on Waller” blues?) : 

Tonyan (vs ARI) or CJ Uzomah (vs NYJ)

My advice to everyone re: Toney this week is twofold: 1) have a backup plan in case he is a late scratch 2) only start him if you need a hail Mary. He's limited & may make an early exit.

You have a great alternative in E.Sanders I would roll with him. Game script is never really a factor until the 4th quarter and if the Bills are crushing so badly Sanders could/should be part of the reason.

For the TEs, who knows? My only league combines WR & TE so guys like CJ or Tonyan rarely get scouted let alone rostered. From the outside I view them both as low target TD dependent options. Tonyan has had equal or greater targets than CJ every week this season and his target share should go up, possibly significantly, with Davante & Lazard both out (IIRC I read that MVS may play). I know that means better coverage on him but you can't score without opportunities.

Despite CJs great matchup I think Tonyan makes sense.

It saddens me to see Lockett on this list but Geno simply doesn't seem to be able to throw Lockett open like Wilson can.

Shenault's targets and production seem far too streaky to start with any sort of confidence/hope. Maybe the bye week helped?

This comes down to Singletary v Johnson IMO.

Chubb is expected back so Johnson presumably slides into Hunt's role but has the opportunity eat a little more if Chubb isn't fully back. Chubb could also be a late scratch still. The bad news is Pittsburgh has been even better against fantasy RBs than real RBs.

Singletary is a little tougher to trust. But I think his limited usage the last two weeks simply had to do with the nature of the game and opponent. He should see 15 or so opportunities vs an overmatched opponent.

There are a lot more mouths to feed in Buffalo than Cleveland but that matchup is tempting.

Tough call but I lean Singletary because of the opponent and, no one seems to talk about this but Johnson may be a fluke.

Can't trust Jeudy, or the Broncos offense, just yet.

Mitchell does seem like the clear starter and bell cow adjacent, but at Chicago is a tough out even without Mack. And who the heck knows what SF will do any given week?

Only play Toney as a Hail Mary this week IMO.

Normally I say Cooks easily because of talent & volume. He has 28 more targets on the season than Kirk, that's a ton. Plus Tyrod may be back this week. But Cooks is really unhappy with being a Texan at the moment and may be hoping to get traded. I have no idea how that translates on the field.

Kirk is having a fine season but has is much more TD dependent. Then again he has 4 TDs to 1 TD for Cooks.

This one is actually a little easier than I thought.

I am a big Pittman fan but I don't think you can bench Johnson. Same number of targets as Pittman in two fewer games. His scoring output is so consistent you could use it as a timetable for trains in Germany.

Pittman could easily outproduce him at home, vs a suspect defense but Indy, like Tennessee is bipolar this year so you never know what to expect.

Honestly my biggest concern, and I have nothing more than Cooks's tweet yesterday after they traded Ingram and a gut feeling,  is the Texans decide to sit Cooks while they try to work a trade.

Lawrence & Darnold are both on the road against vulnerable defenses.  The big difference is I think Urban is giving the keys to Lawrence and Ruhle is going to do everything to make sure Darnold doesn't lose the game. They are going to try and make this a Chubba game.

I mentioned above that my biggest concern about Cooks is he is very upset the Texans traded Ingram and I worry that he and the Texans may agree to sit him in the hope of trading him by Tuesday. Otherwise I think you have to start him because he's talented, he's a target sponge and the game script should absolutely dictate it.

I know conventional wisdom says Gainwell will eat a bunch of Sanders opportunities this week. My rational brain recognizes that he is more talented than Boston Scott. But my lizard brain says Siriani cannot be trusted, Hurts is overwhelmed and Boston Scott will get the majority of Sanders opportunities. Gainwell is probably the smart play here but I don't think I could do it.

Cobb seems like the best option here. He's old, slow, is going to see #1 WR coverage but Favre loves this guy and will probably try and get him 10 catches. I think you have to roll the dice on the potential here, even if it doesn't pan out.

I know nothing about Agnew, hadn't heard of him before this week.  I see he had a nice puff piece written about him and he did well for two games before the bye. But he's still probably the 3rd or 4th option on a team that isn't very good.

thanks, yes I did just see the cooks thing right after I posted, so I think my best play here is roll with Cobb for one flex now and see how the cooks situation plays out, if he does sit at least I have a few fall back options in place

I hate what I see happening in the Philly backfield, and I have said as much since week 3.  Ten times in here I have been asked to choose between either M.Sanders or Gainwell vs another option.  I have chosen the Philly back 3 times and one of those was a choice between Sanders and Trey Sermon, did I really have an option?  BUT even though Scott got 9 touches after Sanders went down it is impossible not to view this as an opportunity Gainwell. It's a plus matchup in a pick-'em game (at worst).

This is a very good problem to have IMO. There really isn't a wrong decision, they can both go off any given week.

I don't think Green Bay is necessarily stacked to play keep away all night and the Cardinals air raid offense doesn't really need much time to do serious damage. 

I have two concerns: 1) The Rams could certainly be running a lot 2) Murray's running has definitely taken a turn south over the last three games.

This feels like a coin toss so go with your gut.

I am not sure what FFPC scoring is (TE premium IIRC) but if it doesn't offer a massive bonus for rushing I think Cousins is the smart call.

Cousins doesn't make a lot of mistakes, has good weapons and is capable of a big game every now and again while also have a "safe" 250 & 2 floor.

Jones may or may not have Toney & Golladay in the lineup and you can't know if he will before you have to make a decision on Cousins, let alone how effective either/both might be or whether they get knocked out early.

I love Jones's potential but Cousins is the smart play IMO.

It’s a matter of luck most likely. If you could, I would try to trade one once you are past first bye cause this is going to drive you crazy rest of season.

for this week…  I’m leaning Murray. Rushing floor and the elite top tier qb so just a bit over Stafford. Rams should crush Houston and run the ball like tb did to bears last week or bengals to ravens. Rodgers will keep it competitive and a shoot out. Arizona game slightly higher over under at 50.5 vs 47.5 for rams.

I have seen him most places 35-42 range but think most didn't update, another place had him Solid WR 3 this week, he would become my Flex by Sunday most likely with guys in my front line like AJB, Kupp, etc...just gauging how big a night you think he is set for. I still think 5/65 would be a decent night for him but someone has to catch TDs, Rodgers is not going to go quietly into the night when he has a chance to wear the Superman cape tonight, this game is almost tailor made for him, nothing will surprise me.
