Week 9 2025 who should I start thread **OFFICIALLY UNOFFICIAL** (4 Viewers)

Long time lurker first time caller. Tough choice at WR, PPR

Keon Coleman vs chiefs
Jalen Coker at packers
Parker Washington at raiders
Rashid Shaheed at rams, questionable

If shaheed plays do you trust him over the others?
With Hunter out does Washington step up?

ok, just for giggles:
12 team PPR. Need a flex from this group:
1. Addison @ DET (JJM makes it risky)
2. Jamo vs MIN (7th against the pass, and I have ARSB)
3. Knight at Cowboys. (AZ has said he’s going to start, but that it would be a RBBC hot hand rotation)

Presently have Addison in.
For me Bam isn't an option because of the hot hand issue as well as the Cards offense isn't very good.

JAMO!!!!!

McCarthy is a concern but, ultimately Addison is very talented and he's the clear #2 option for Minnesota who, could easily be in a trail game script.

Addison>JAMO!!!>Bam
Ok bonus round:

Flex: Bam or Worthy?

Shaheed if he plays
If not probably Washington for me

Bam has the highest floor
Worthy has the highest ceiling

As much as I hate to say this being a Cowboys fan, I would pick Bam or any other player starting against that Dallas D.

PPR League. Need two of these three:

* A. Pierce @PIT -- PIT secondary getting torched. Pierce could get deep but targets are few.

* P. Washington @LV -- Good matchup. He's probably #2 behind B. Thomas after Hunter injury.

* T. Horton @WASH -- Another good matchup. C. Kupp is being reported as likely out. Could be Horton's coming out party. That said, zero catches last two games and it seems like it's JSN or bust in that offense.

Which 2?

Thanks

Rhamondre missed another practice today. If he's out...

PPR flex:
Treveyon v ATL
Jameson v MIN

ATM I am leaning Jameson for upside and with the chatter (coach speak) about getting him mor involved. I also have concerns that Vrable/McDaniels will favor other players over the rookie.
I'd go Jameson.

I don't trust McDaniels with T. Jennings in the mix and D'Earnest Johnson being elevated.

Full PPR. Nico Collins vs Denver or Chase Brown vs Chicago for my flex? Leaning Nico without Surtain playing but Brown has been much better with Flacco at QB.
If Flacco starts I think I go with the Brown. Denver still has a good defense without Surtain and the Bengals O, and Brown, look worlds better since Flacco got there.

Brown>Nico

0.5 ppr for RB/ 1.0 ppr for WR

I need 1 WR and 1 Flex out of...

Chase Brown vs CHI
Davante Adams vs NOS
Drake London vs NEP
All solid options. I’d wait to make sure Flacco is playing - if he’s out, London/Adams are the easy call.

Actually with .5 PPR for RB, that’s my call anyway. Much as I like Brown, the WRs in this format are the no-brainers.

In PPR give me Washington because he is already a relevant part of the offense and now he should see a bigger role

Like Shahid too but, hate the matchup and unsure about Shough.

Washington>Shahid>coin toss

WWYD? PPR w/ playoffs Weeks 16-18. We start 3WR and a TE/WR flex. Autodraft was not kind to me re: wide receivers and gave me DJ Moore, Travis Hunter (using in an IDP slot), Deebo, and Cooper Kupp. I dropped Kupp to pick up Ricky Pearsall on WW, and have since added Elic Ayomanor, Jalen Coker, and Tez Johnson.

Garret Wilson is on the waiver wire this week. He's an insta-grab, right? ROS rankings have Coker ranked lowest and I wonder if I'll ever see Pearsall play this season. Who would you give up if any?

Thank you!

JAMO!!!!

It's the upside vs opportunity question. Personally I lean with upside and hope for a high scoring game.

Worthy>Bam

PPR league

Christian Watson or Tet McMillan?
Watson is a tough call because it's still a crowded group of pass catchers and the Pack should roll this week so Jacobs is the likely beneficiary. Watson looked great but, only got 4 targets and played 56% of the snaps.

Since it's PPR, I think Tet will get plenty of targets and has a reasonable floor.

Tet>Watson

Full ppr im sitting walker over
kyle manongai
dike chimere
Tracey

Not sure if its right choice but no goal line chances kills him
Personally I start KWIII over Tennessee's flavor of the week. I just don't see the upside in the Titans passing game.

Damn, missed my week 9 question. Weak roster requires a choice between Ayomanor vs Chargers and Coker @ GB. Coker's matchup appears better, but am leaning Elic

I start Washington because of perceived opportunities.

Between the others... I probably bench Horton
Pierce is the big play option here and I don't trust either for usage.

But, it's a coin toss.

Washington>Pierce>Horton

Yes I'd have to sit Horton in this trio as I don't think he'll hear enough Who's to be relevant

I’m not sure what Kanye sweet would do, but I’d definitely scoop up GW. Coker is probably the drop.

I would definitely grab him and drop either Coker or Ayomanor. Probably Coker but,.it's a coin toss for me.

.5 ppr I'm a slight favorite. Deep lineups. Quentin Johnston or Alvin Kamara?
Johnston has the higher ceiling imop
But his floor is in the basement
Swing for the fences or strikeout....Johnston
Better floor lower ceiling......Kamara
Depends on your risk tolerance

I lean Ayomanor too. They're both bad options but Ayomanor has seen decent target share before. That's all I got.

Ayomanor>Coker

That's a tough call because of QJ's recent usage. But as a former Kamara owner who just couldn't take it anymore this season, I can't advocate anyone starting him vs the Rams. So I'd go with QJ.

0.5 PPR

Flex, pick one:

Dobbins at Texans
Boutte vs Atlanta
Close
Maybe shake your Boutte in what should be a higher scoring game

I'm leaning that way. Dobbins is having a good season but lack of TDs these last 5 games has hurt. Regression may hit but not sure it's this week.

Also, I'm starting Maye at QB. Opponent is starting Diggs...not sure statistically if that matters but stack potential may be worth something?

I've never been a "stacker"
If I think another player is going to score 1 more point than a receiver who's quarterback I'm starting,I play the other receiver
It can work for sure, but I don't do it intentionally

Dobbins. Both matchups are awful. Dobbins more sure to get touches. And this could just be a super ugly game with two great defenses--setting the stage for a lot of rushing attempts.

I know Boutte has been getting in the endzone the last 3 weeks, but when that falls off, he may have a disappointing day--and we're due for a Diggs or Hunter Henry day.

Tight matchup so I’d take Kamara’s “normal” floor… but that doesn’t seem to exist anymore.

Kamara in a close one.

Sure path to touches. I would worry that LAC gets up on TN early and goes run heavy the 2nd half. QJ may or may not get 1 early. But obviously a ton of target competition with Allen, Gadsden, and Ladd.

On this episode of "My Terrible Fantasy Team", who to start at RB2:

RJ Harvey v. HOU
Brashard Smith v. BUF
Bhayshul Tuten v. LV
I *think* Smith.

I assume with Pacheco out, Smith gets some actual touches.

Harvey had the 3 TD's last week, but at one point he had 3 TD's on 6 touches. He finished with 8 touches. And it's just a brutal matchup this week vs Houston.

Smith gets Buffalo, who gives up the 5th most FPPG to RB.

Ok, Sunday morning last calls now that we know active/inactives and what has happened during the week:

Non-PPR Scoring:

Pick 1
Chase Brown, Jalen Warren or Etienne?

Pick 1
Tee Higgins, Deebo or Olave

Qb conundrums

4 pt TDs
Flacco vs Chi
Nix at Hou

6 pt TDs
Flacco vs Chi
Brissett at Dal

6 pt TDs
Rodgers vs Indy
Mac Jones at NYG
I'm benching Nix if I have a decent alternative. Flacco gets a plus matchup vs Chicago.

2nd one is very close. In a vacuum, it's probably a coin flip. Flacco has a sore AC joint and a hit could aggravate that to the point of sitting out. It's not a major concern, but we're splitting hairs to choose a winner in a close situation. And then it can be good/wise to diversify. Brissett has the ultimate matchup of Dallas's secondary. I think go Brissett here.

Last one: Rodgers. After the 49ers beat Atlanta 2 weeks ago--the players were saying in the post game presser: "Coach said this was going to be a CMC game." CMC had 31 touches. Mac Jones had 24 pass attempts. I fully expect another CMC game vs an NYG team that has lost it's two best playmakers, and SF likely doesn't have to score a ton. It's entirely possible SF lights it up through the air early, but I would worry they're able to replicate the ATL game and burn you.

We know Indy is going to put up points. I fully expect that game to be more of a higih scoring affair, even though the o/u is only 3 points higher.
