**WEEK 9 WAIVER PICKUPS** (1 Viewer)

Jacoby Jones
 Looks like hes the starter now. Get him now before word gets out
What word is that? That Schaub is a huge disappointment this year - 2 good games and 5 bleh games? That I wish I had traded Schaub for Flacco when I had the chance?
They just played one of their toughest passing matchups of the year. Schedule gets a lot easier and Jones was in all 2 WR sets. Just saying. Get him now while his value is zilch.

[so your your definition of must pickup only pertains to your league and situation. cuz fasano is WW fodder.
Goodnes Gracious! The whole point of this thread is to recommend WW fodder to be picked up!
must pickup
Your pretty arrogant for someone that thought Romo could play with a broken collarbone as long as it was his non-throwing shoulder.
yes I am

Even Sproles and Keiland are gone in a lot of leagues. How about Arreleous Benn?

Maybe he didn't mean playing football??

Schaub has had exactly two good games this year. I just don't know that I am buying this 'easier schedule' stuff. I think they want to run more than years past and I think that has a negative impact.

I watched that game and I saw a Walter that couldn't add a single catch!I'm rolling with the upside that Jacoby brings to the table. He hasn't done much yet but I'm willing to roll the dice from here on out.Yeah, you should have traded for Flacco!

Some WR besides Harvin has to get some looks in the Minnesota scheme . . . Berrian? Camarillo? Lewis? Think I'll roll the dice on Berrian. Rice is still a ways away.

Here's a tip: If most of these guys are already gone then you're a week late getting to the party and everybody that was smarting off at the guy who picked up three WW guys last week needs to learn from the master who was slapping in your face and you were too stupid to realize it.

This weeks deep reach:

Ivory has been dropped in one of my leagues. Reggie Bush is back but NO has shown that they want to use him in combo with a bigger RB so Ivory still has value until Pierre Thomas gets back and Thomas has suffered a setback and went back to crutches this week. Thomas has a high ankle sprain that nobody wants to talk about. He also might have a knee injury that nobody wants to talk about if you trust your eyes and how you saw his leg get torqued around when he got hurt. Even when/if PT comes back, NO will get Ivory the ball. Ivory may even look better when Bush gets back to balance the offense.

OAK RB Marcel Reese has the talent but not a ton of opportunity unless you consider that both McFadden and Bush are made of glass and OAK has been killing people lately with a killer defense and racking up crazy points on people. So Reece will have more garbage time opportunity combined with talent and an upside in case the glass RB's in front of him go down.

SD RB Tolbert: Somebody actually dropped him last week in one of my leagues and he is putting up better YPC than Mathews as well as getting the goal line carries and performing well in PPR leagues as well. It's smart to grab the guys that catch the ball because even when they're playing on a team that gets behind they'll continue to throw the ball to them.

DET RB Kevin Smith: Best has been banged up all year. Stafford just got back and the offense will improve and give more opportunities to back up RBs. We're also getting later in the year when a lot of teams start pounding the ball expecially in cold climates. Kevin Smith always seems to have a coming out party around this time of year. Every year we all think he sucks but he finds a way to get it done. The guy just won't go away.

IND RB Javarris James: last week proved one thing,,,Donald Brown sucks. Probably a temp situation because Hart has earned the job when Addai isn't in there and Hart will eventually be back.

WAS RB Torain: Yes Torain has a hammy, yes Portis is coming back, yes Williams will probably get the points this week. But we already know that Portis both sucks finally and can't stay healthy. We also know that Willaims isn't as good as Torain. We also know that WAS has a bye week in week 10 which gives Torain two weeks to heal up and finish out the season by continuing to absolutely pound, pound, pound the ball for WAS.

Trades: I'm stating the obvious but trading low might be a better strategy now than picking up WW lottery tickets. Roll the dice on solid performers from last year that have probably been kept down due to a poor schedule or may even be injured now. Sims-Walker, DeAngelo Williams, Addai, Benson, Reggie Bush, Ronnie Brown, Ricky Williams, Fred Jackson.

Here is the problem with K. Williams. Bye this week, then MNF game nezt week with maybe Torain and Portis back, but you probably wont know in tame anyways to plug him in. Then week 11 who is starting then. If Wiliams was playing an early game next week then worth a flyer IMO, but MNF kills his value

Which receiving targets have value in Minny this week and forward? Let's assume Harvin sits who shares targets with AP, Gerhart, and Shianco? Would you trust Camarillo, Lewis, or Berrian in a PPR as a WR3 or flex?

How about Tashard Choice ?

Felix Jones missed Cowboys practice Wednesday with forearm and ankle injuries.

Tweets Tim MacMahon of ESPN Dallas, "Might not be a bad idea to pick up Tashard Choice in your fantasy league." MacMahon has been leading the bandwagon to get Choice more carries, and it would come to fruition if Jones was to miss Sunday's game against Green Bay. While an earlier report from the Dallas Morning News suggested Jones' injuries weren't serious, he's never recovered quickly and often struggles at less than full health.

What's the answer if any in StL then besides Amendola for value? Gibson or Robinson getting safer? Sit on Alexander? I think Gilyard's arrow is down atleast for now. Teams tend to adjust after a bye when they have more time to reevaluate.

Along that same tier any signs of life from Benn, Earl Bennett, or Massaquoi to be WR3 worthy in a PPR?

Of the 3 you mentioned, Benn looks to have the breakout potential. He caught a 54 yard, um 53 yard catch, that Raheem couldn't challenge for an TD as he was out of challenges. But it sure looked like a TD. Benn is part of an exciting young team in the Bucs, and right now is the time to get on the Bucs bandwagon if you have a roster spot to spare.

(Rotoworld) Jacoby Jones caught two passes for 6 yards in the Texans' Week 8 loss to Indianapolis.Analysis: In addition to returning kicks, Jones was slotted across from Andre Johnson in two wide sets. He saw six targets, a number that could grow as he continues his emergence on the offense. There were some ugly drops on the night, though Matt Schaub did little to help his speedy wideout. He's a great add as a high upside stash.

Just wondering if you could tell my why Ivory is still the NO back to own in stead of Jones? Ivory is banged up, and Jones will learn more of the offense each and every week.

Picked up four players this week.....

Kevin Smith

Julius Jones

Toby Gerhart

Tashard Choice

still on waivers

Keiland Williams

Ladell Betts

Javaris James

I like Williams, but Was doesnt play till Monday night this week which makes him useless unless you have Torain too.

Reese is a FB. Being a former WR, his hands and elusiveness are better than your average FB. But he won't sneak up on opposing teams anymore, and he will never, ever be a "carry-the-load" RB no matter HOW many guys go down in front of him. Even if DMc and Bush both got hurt, Bennett would be next man up in the pecking order. The rest of your post was pretty good though. :hifive:

Just like Fred Jackson, huh? Or maybe McClain a couple years ago? If there is a difference I am missing it.

Mike Williams from Seattle. This guy had a rough go of it in Detroit but he looks like he may have turned the corner. Actually the only reason I'm posting this is because this cat was just dropped in my dynasty league, so I scooped him.

as good a lottery rb as any this week. i grabbed him in all three leagues.

Raider, I haven't seen Reece but the word is that he runs a sub 4.5 as a fullback with great hands and on the stat sheet we can see what he did last week with minimal touches/targets. What have you seen or heard that leads you to believe that he wouldn't be a carry the load RB? Is there reason for the man crush on Bennett who I view as a one week fill in but who has never been able to keep a starting RB gig?

Ajirotutu: with Gates out most likely till after the bye and other injuries he'll see more targets. Last week he had almost 50yds. On the same note obviously Sproles if hes out there..

What about Stephen-Howling - or whatever his name is....with Hightower in the doghouse and Beanie a little nicked up - he may have some value.
