Week 9 WW pick-ups (1 Viewer)

Just traded Holt, Bryant and Z. Miller to get A. Gates and J. Gage :wall:
Oops, I thought this was the waiver wire thread - thanks for your relevant breaking news. :lmao: I drank the Ginn kool-aid coming into the season, so it'll take more than one game for me to be completely convinced that he's turned things around. You've got to think if he can keep it up against a weak Denver D that he may be useful down the stretch. My gut tells me not likely, but would love to be proven wrong.I'm also a big fan of Kolby Smith for many of the reasons stated above - team-imposed suspension of LJ + high ankle sprain for Charles = little competition for carries, even if it is just K.C. Should be a useful RB3 down the stretch, especially with some soft opponents coming come playoff weeks (14 vs. OAK, 15 vs DEN).

Depending on your scoring system, the St. Louis DEF might be a sneaky pick-up for a bye week, or possibly longer.

In the last three weeks (Weeks 6-8) they have 10 sacks, 5 INTs, 4 FRs, 1 TD, and have given up 18 points/game (54 points total). In my league, they were the 2nd-best DEF during that stretch, right behind Tampa Bay. It seems like things are starting to come together for them since Haslett took over.

Are they the safest choice for a bye week DEF? Probably not - there may be FA DEFs in your league with better match-ups (St. Louis plays the Cardinals in St. Louis this week) and your scoring system may have them ranked lower, but they may be worth taking a chance on if you are weak at DEF and are looking for a potential upgrade.

high ankle sprain doesnt keep you out for 7 weeks, and LJ is doubtful to be out come week 14 or 15 either.

I never said a high ankle sprain would keep Charles out 7 weeks - I said he'd be useful down the stretch. That being said, you're probably right that an injury to Charles wouldn't keep him out that long and would likely result in a RBBC split, but I'm a lot more pessimistic than you are on Johnson's possible return. If you assume a 3 game NFL suspension as rumored and the team welcoming him LJ back with open arms, then feel free to ignore. I'm not as optimistic.

I'm targeting in this order:Avery- Not a chance in Hell that I get himGinn Jr.Camarillothe last two face Denver in week 9 in what could be a high scoring game.Which Miami WR would you grab first? (Steve Smith is on bye for me)
 I'm in the exact same boat! Smith on bye, looking to pickup either Camarillo or Ginn. Anybody have insight here?

Another guy I'm keeping an eye on is Brandon Lloyd. If he can practice and is at least probable to play he's a lock for some good points vs. Detroit. Didn't he originally injure his knee at Detroit in week 5?

R.Moat was my sneaky add and this was before last week when they activated him from the practice squad.

And just behold, A.Green goes and gets injured. Slaton is not a heavy carry rb, and last week when Moats di run, he looked real explosive.

Most of these guys, most ALL of them are already rostered in my dynasty's (21-24 roster spots.)

not josh morgan.
 I drank that kool aid this week and it tasted horrid.
Don't feel bad. A lot of guys drank from that same punch bowl!
This one really nailed me. 4 fftoc team goose eggs, 4 or 5 bye fill in goose eggs. The kid is going to be a stud. It's just the Singletary-Martz musical chairs worst show on earth that's going to set him back. Just ask Vernon Davis how it feels! All I heard all week is how good he looks and such a great match up. I took a hit x 10! OUCH. back to subject this was probably worst week of waivers yet this year. just not much out there. but my prize of the week is Bradly! Like Morgon (OUCH) kids got talent! K.C might just be the change of scenery he needed! And I don't know why I am advertiseing it because still got more waivers to go.
