Weinke a 49er (1 Viewer)

BTW It'd be pretty hard to justify holding onto Olson in a real deep dynasty league now

Chris Weinke's still around? Man, he must be almost as old as John Beck by now.

With the season the 9ers are having they might as well try and find a receiver with the last name Deinke so it can be Weinke to Deinke. :blackdot:

I don't know why the Panthers didn't attempt to re-sign him when Jake got hurt.
Maybe because he is terrible. David Carr has played better this year, than Weinke did last year, and David Carr has been awful.
I don't think that's accurate, stats?

Not sure where you're coming from on this one. I've watched the games where Weinke played and he wasn't the worst game manager. I'd take him over Carr.

Weinke 2006: 58.3%, 2 TDs, 4 INTs, 3.3 sacks per game; 67.4 passer ratingCarr 2007: 53.7%, 3 TDs, 5 INTs, 2.2 sacks per game; 58.3 passer ratingSeems like a push to me.

Weinke a Niner? (scratching head) So, now New England's drafting fate and possibly a destiny with a Darren McFadden-like player is tied with Chris Weinke??? This really has been a strange season.

You must have missed last year's game against Atlanta, where the Panthers only allowed Weinke to pass the ball 7 times, and DeAngelo Williams was taking direct snaps under center. That is how bad he was.

Yes, I did miss that game. However, I've seen every snap Carr has played for us and I would prefer Weinke. I've seen Weinke play decent before as a backup, whereas Carr stinks to high heaven.
