Don't have a link but my buddy has a connection to Welker's family and it sounds like he's not playing this week--take it for what it's worth...according to my connection, knee was scoped a few weeks ago and doesn't seem to be fully healed yet

I haven't seen that reported, but that's the speculation.I tend to believe it.

The guy on the NFL Network (the Patriots guy) just said that the Pats expected Welker back, but you know that goes. We'll find out when the inactives are released.

Even if he plays...I'm worried bout an early exit. I just don't have other good options at this point. Him or Edelmen, which alot of us are in......or Henry. Uggh.

John Clayton (ESPN Sportscenter) reporting that "it looks like Welker will be back". He ran through one rep of warm-ups and looked okay.

Patriots sightings

Pats WR Wes Welker (knee) is running around the field now. It is looking good for him to see game action today.

I'm sure when I looked on NFL.com they had Welker down as inactive a minute ago. They've now changed it but I bet that confused a few people.

I'm rolling the dice and starting him. Belicheck will probably make me look like a fool again but I can live with that.
My attitude as well... Welker has caused issues for me.. was on my bench week 1 since I wasn't willing to chance a late scratch on MNF; was unable to remove him from my lineup week 2 as I had to leave home before news of him being inactive was reported. Just stay healthy little guyInteresting that Edelman, Welker's backup, is active while Galloway is not.. Wonder if Edelman will return punts (hope so)

Joey Galloway is inactive for Sunday's game despite being healthy.Galloway has been one of the Patriots' worst players through three games, so it's not surprising that he's down. He just doesn't have it anymore. Source: NFL.com

Started him week 1  and week 2 :goodposting:I wouldn't read much into Edelman being active over Galloway. Galloway wasn't showing many signs of understanding the offense or having any rapport with Brady. So I think that was an easy scratch as far as this WR core goes.

I hope we keep on getting this type of hard-hitting information from your buddy's connection all season.

I had the exact same results through the first two weeks. Now that it's been confirmed he's starting today I really want to get him into my starting lineup. I've gotten exactly zero points from Welker, whom I considered to be my fourth-round steal. He'll start for me today, ahead of Derrick Mason.

Wow...Mason is my alternative as well (I do own Edelman too)...

What would be the point of making him active if he can't go hard. When Welker plays he usually plays well! I am rollin with Welker with confidence today! Love to see the #83 back in the line up.....it is a welcome sight!

FGI,Can you please follow up here here on what your buddy is saying now? I'm not doubting your buddy as there were several more reports like this earlier in the week. Some even talked about the possibility of him being shut down for the season later. But we'd be interested in hearing what your friend is saying now on this. Thanks.J

Overall trend I'm noticing in the Shark Pool -- even the inside info from friends, family, and other inside sources is coming out wrong. No one's fault, we can't be clairvoyant ... but what's going on? Was Welker's family also in on the disinformation?
