What’s up with giant Halloween skeletons decorated for Christmas? (1 Viewer)

So around where I live there are multiple houses that put up huge skeletons in their yard for Halloween but kept them up and decorated them with Santa outfits, Christmas lights, etc?

Is this a thing anywhere else?

Happens here too, I think those giant skeletons are too big to store so they get left out all year.

Decorating is fun, why not reuse a skeleton?

I have a 6’ skeleton currently wearing a Santa hat in my garage window. Not sure if I’ll do anything with him after we take down Christmas decorations.

And instead of putting up and taking down decorations all year it just has to be customized for each holiday. I can't wait for my neighbor's to be dressed as Uncle Sam for July 4th.

Okay. The closest one near me has been dressed up for Christmas, NYE, Valentine’s Day, St. Pddy’s Day and now Easter.

I guess next will be Memorial and Flag Day so I I assume this stupid thing is a permanent part of their landscaping. Down the road someone is doing it with a giant dog skeleton.

I dont wish harm to anyone’s home or property but I wouldn’t hate a huge windstorm blowing these skeletons into a few hundred pieces

Near me, a homeowner put one up for Halloween 2023. Left it up, and decorated it for every subsequent mid-major to major holiday. I liked the festive-ness of it. Then, they took it down right before Halloween 2024. Thought that was kinda weird.
