Basically good habits that you have had or wish you've had since you were young that has made a significant difference in your life.

Make sure you walk or take the bike

Small plates

Get up early, go to bed in time for seven hours of sleep

Listen more, talk less

Read an hour a day from one of the following categories: self improvement, personal finance, health, history, or philosophy.

Worked out since the summer I graduated high school. Mostly weights. But I hit the gym 4 days a week every week without fail, except for a week or two each year for vacation time. Keeps me in decent shape, and keeps me from murdering people.

Also agree with the 7 hours of sleep, someone mentioned above. Sleep is crucial, IMO.

I've never not played a competitive sport. Don't intend to stop ever either. Keeps my stress level much lower.

Do 50-100 Push Ups every day

Do 50-100 Sit Ups every day

Eat A LOT of veggies

Save or invest 10% of your income (in addition to your work funded retirement accounts)

Travel

Don't be a miserable #####

Always open the door for others

Nutribullet.  Every morning.  Helped me lose a ton of weight, feel like a million bucks, get all the nutrients I need in one drink, lots of energy, it even helped get my blood pressure and cholesterol down to normal levels - no more medications needed.  Can't recommend it enough.

slight hijack here.  how does this compare to the vitamix?  is there a thread on this already.  plz to advice.
Not sure what vitamix is.  Nutribullet is really just a glorified juicer.  I fill it with kale, avacado, frozen fuits, blueberries, almonds, walnuts, goji berries, protein powder, and whole bunch of superfood powders (acai, camu, cacao, maca, chia seeds, quinoa, and turmeric).  Every Sunday I make 7 packets so during thr week it only takes about 8 minutes from start to finish to make it, drink it, and clean it up.  The drinks I make aren't great tasting, but I can basically drink anything.  The powders can get a little expensive, but it pales in comparison to what I was spending on medications.  Plus I don't have to eat anything else for breakfast so I save a little there.  I can't say enough about it.  This one little good habit has changed my life.  I literally went from being on death's door 4 years ago to now being in the best shape of my life.  Even my skin looks better.  It's amazing.

This might sound stupid to many, but dealing with those things in your life that you have always avoided. People naturally gravitate to the easy option.  I have found in general that if something is perceived as difficult, then it's probably the right thing to do and the inverse holds true as well IMO.  Unfortunately most people realize this after something bad has happened (including myself).  Don't wait for that bad thing to happen. It might be too late.

I was doing this and found I was hungry a hour later

did probably 2-3 handfuls of kale/spinach/chard

maybe a cup of frozen fruit

plain greek yogurt

water

protein powder

Stretch, exercise, eat well

Wake up when your body tells you it's time rather than going back to sleep for a couple of hours

Meditate

Do nice things for others

Meditate. 10 mins a day. Makes all the difference in the world when I do it. Big fan of the app Headspace, but there are a ton of apps and books out there to help you.

Drink water. Water!  Regular tap water!  Don't add crap to it.

Clean in between your teeth. Floss, shower floss, water pik, something.

Eat regular non canned, non packaged food, made at your home when possible.

You weren't getting enough fat in it.  The avocado and nuts provide the fats (the good kind) and that balance curbs the appetite.  I have my shake at 7:30 and I'm not hungry until I eat lunch 4 or 5 hours later.

It doesnt. I wasted money on cheaper versions and they all suck. Spend the dough on the Vitamix, its the greatest kitchen appliance ever.
Did you try the Nutribullet 9000?  I've had mine for 2 years now and it works flawlessly.  It liquifies anything you put in it.  Easiest cleanup you can imagine.  I can't imagine a better product.
