What are Ian Johnson's dynasty prospects? (1 Viewer)

He tore up Oregon State and now he is ripping up big chunks against OU down the stretch (he did fumble, so he isn't perfect tonight) and both are good defenses.

I haven't seen him mentioned in any of the dynasty threads, but since he scored 25 TDs this year and rushed for 1,600 yards, I'd say he is one of those guys that many people aren't going to know about unless he hits the mainstream media next year (not likely).

Anyway, in next year's deep RB class, he could be a hidden gem like MJD this year.

WOW! He just proposed to the head cheerleader and she said YES! What a night!

My wife hates football, but she loved that. Go team!

Nitpicking - MJD was the topic of many discussions and wasn't hidden. Not nitpicking - Ian Johnson, who I have pimped since September, who I rate very very highly, is just one of another in a long long list of sophomore RBs. I wouldn't expect him in next year's RB class.

Fair enough on the MJD thing, but he went in the 2nd round after several other RBs in all of my leagues. I guess hidden gem would apply mostly in redraft leagues since he went undrafted in most of my leagues.I have been onboard since the Oregon State game and tonight he produced against a top caliber team, so the naysayers can't say he hasn't played anybody.

He runs with amazing conviction a la Gore. As Chaos Commish, one of at least a half dozen terrific current soph RBs. Darren McFadden, Steve Slaton, Jonathan Stewart, Ray Rice, Jamaal Charles, James Davis are all projecting as solid first day, if not first round picks.

Glad this thread was started ... was thinking a lot about Johnson's eventual pro prospects after watching the Fiesta Bowl. If 194 lbs is accurate, he just needs to add 7 or 8 pounds each of the next two off-seasons to allay any fears about his size. He could go into the 2008 combine around 210.
