What are Kaepernick owners doing? (1 Viewer)

Think I need to find someone else to cover Romo's bye. Wish I had jumped on case in that league
I had the chance to pick Case up and really glad I did--but in the meantime feel like Kaepernick is a hold. Manningham had some play this week and his impact should open up their game somewhat, and hopefully Crabtree will be back in force in time for the fantasy playoffs. Other than weeks 13 (NE) and 15 (@Indy) Case has good matchups--and even those two are servicable in a pinch. You probably won't want to touch Kaep weeks 11 and 14 (@NO and vs Sea.) but other weeks there is a workable matchup play.

In my league he's still the 12th ranked QB overall before this week, despite being short a couple receivers. Last year didn't look so good either until towards the end of the season--but he was worth the wait for most fantasy playoff schedules.

eta: I think there's a little overreaction going on here in any case. Carolina's defense is a good one and they were fired up last night--that was one helluva game. Kaep has scored in double digits with my fantasy league scoring this year in all but three weeks--against Seattle, Indy and now Carolina. Those also happen to field the #3, #12 and #2 defenses against QB's in this league. There aren't too many QB's who are unstoppable and they're pretty much top five or six--beyond that you expect to do a little matchup play.

Krap has the talent to be a top 5 qb and will get better when his weapons are back. However SF Defense is too strong and they are a run first team so not alot of need for him to sling it 50 times, or run.. I picked up Rivers early off waivers week 1 and Foles this past week, rolling with the gunslingers.
not he doesn't. especially n real life.

I love these threads where people come in and call players names because they're not playing up to there potential in any certain year. Blame yourself and call yourself a turd for drafting them. You think they give a #### about your team? About as much as I or anyone else on this board does.
sounds like you do care

In my mind, this guy is the fantasy disappointment of the season. In no way, shape, or form does he resemble the guy from last season down the stretch. After week 1, his status as the next great young QB seemed all but a lock. Now he is relegated to the game manager status of an alex smith or a christian ponder. Those who sold high in dynasty after week 1 were brilliant.

I think he is a hold as well. You can get Qb1 numbers from him with solid matchups. SF seems to have some tough passing matchups this year. I am sitting him again this week vs NO as they are solid against the pass again. Playing Foles vs Washington over him but Kaep has a few matchups before the season is over that he'll do fine. Overall though he definitely has been a fantasy disappointment, Russell who was drafted right near him, usually after is having a much more successful fantasy season.

I was being sarcastic in a sense. I find it funny when players are called turds because of not playing up to what's expected of them. It's like they're expected to know whay their "owners" are wanting from them and if they have control of how much they see the field and play calling. I like him long term. Own him in both of my dynasty leagues. Luckily he's my backup in both this year. I think in time he flourishes under Harbaugh.

Not even remotely close to guys like Ray Rice, David Wilson, etc.
