You can't think of anything?A) surveillance equipment in opposing team's lockers(formal complaint filed by other teams)B) Purchasing copies of training camp play booksetc. etc.Name something else as egregious as videotaping. If you cannot, your poll is flawed.
Ding DingWhen I heard Tomlinson say that my first thought was "Wow, LT really nailed that."i believe Tomlinson is totally correct in stating that the Patriot's philosophy is "if you aren't cheating you aen't trying"
And these RF irregularities that have really been swept under the rug by the league in favor of the more highly publicized videotaping. You can't think of anything?A) surveillance equipment in opposing team's lockers(formal complaint filed by other teams)B) Purchasing copies of training camp play booksetc. etc.Name something else as egregious as videotaping. BB is right, that team has no heart to win a big game and they get it from their coach.LT is right, that team has no class and they get it from their coach.
Or just maybe, there was no proof of wrongdoing on that issue.Or are you insinuating that the league wanted to bust the Pats on one thing but not another? And these RF irregularities that have really been swept under the rug by the league in favor of the more highly publicized videotaping. You can't think of anything?A) surveillance equipment in opposing team's lockers(formal complaint filed by other teams)B) Purchasing copies of training camp play booksetc. etc.Name something else as egregious as videotaping. They have stated it's still under investigation. I don't think anything will come of it though regardless of what they find.Workhorse said:Or just maybe, there was no proof of wrongdoing on that issue.Or are you insinuating that the league wanted to bust the Pats on one thing but not another?mad sweeney said:And these RF irregularities that have really been swept under the rug by the league in favor of the more highly publicized videotaping.LHUCKS said:You can't think of anything?A) surveillance equipment in opposing team's lockers(formal complaint filed by other teams)B) Purchasing copies of training camp play booksetc. etc.Bad_Mo said:Name something else as egregious as videotaping. I'm not insinuating anything other than there was an issue of radio frequency problems now and in the past that hasn't been talked about yet by the league. If there was no wrongdoing, then they should come out and say so. And as I heard on ESPN yesterday, the league is looking into it as well as reviewing previous Patriots' games in conjnction with this videotaping issue. In all fairness they also said they were looking at more than just Pats games. As for the "league wanting to bust the Patriots", what a joke. I would lay odds that the commish would much rather not have had to bust them on anything.Workhorse said:Or just maybe, there was no proof of wrongdoing on that issue.Or are you insinuating that the league wanted to bust the Pats on one thing but not another?mad sweeney said:And these RF irregularities that have really been swept under the rug by the league in favor of the more highly publicized videotaping.LHUCKS said:You can't think of anything?A) surveillance equipment in opposing team's lockers(formal complaint filed by other teams)B) Purchasing copies of training camp play booksetc. etc.Bad_Mo said:Name something else as egregious as videotaping. I agree with this...although I don't know that "a lot" of the teams are cheating...hard to see guys like Dungy and Gibbs pulling stunts like this.I think a better question is what are the chances NFL teams are breaking rules. In reality, I suspect a lot. And in reality, I think the % would just be higher for the Pats.
From some of what I've read, the Colts are supposedly one of the biggest signal stealers in the league. Whether they do anything specifically against the rules is another story, so no one should take this as I am accusing them of cheating. And there are so many areas that have governed that it may not be just stealing signs. It could be switching kicking balls, running a few seconds off the clock in a tight game, turning the AC on or off, breaking the salary cap rules, not following the injury report, turning headsets off on key plays, scouting other teams closed practices, buying a photocopied playbook, etc. The sky is the limit I suppose. Again, I don't know who does stuff like this and who doesn't, but I suspect there are things going on that very few people are aware of and may break rules we may not even know exist. That's not to say that this is a big conspiracy theory. I suspect teams will look to get a competitive advantage, and some may be looking to bend or even break the rules (or the concept of fair play) to do so.I agree with this...although I don't know that "a lot" of the teams are cheating...hard to see guys like Dungy and Gibbs pulling stunts like this.I think a better question is what are the chances NFL teams are breaking rules.
