What would be your season long projections for Cassel assuming Brady misses the season (sorry, haven't read the full Brady thread for an update)? Do you see him being Top 10? Better?

Top 10? lol. That guy will be lucky to throw for 1 td a game imo.
Honestly, I am cautiously optimistic here, because I'm looking to replace Brady as well.
Cassel was 13 of 18 with 1 TD and a QB rating of 116. True, it wasn't against a great defense, but NE has one of the easiest schedules in the NFL against the pass this year , and he should get a little more polished as the year goes on.
Obviously he has an enormously talented team around him, and one of the best game-planning coaches in the NFL to design a plan tailor made for him. You think Belichick wants to go to the Super Bowl any less now that Brady is out? The bad news: he hasn't started a game since he was a senior in high school (where he was ranked in the top 10 of all high school QBs). He spent his entire college career backing up Carson Palmer and Matt Leinart at USC.
I don't think it is out of the realm of possibility that he lands in the top 10 to 15 range, a borderline QB1.
