Jared Weaver in the snub conversation for the AL. Leads baseball in K's. Tied for 2nd in Quality Starts. Has a 2.81 ERA and 1.06 WHIP.And the game's being played in his home ball park.An argument could be made for the guy getting the starting nod in this game and he doesn't even make it.

Weaver, Verlander and Pettitte are all victims of the format. Fausto Carmona should not be there, Bucholtz is questionable but he looks like he might not make the game anyway as he might be headed for the DL. ERA is obviously still more important than Ks and WHIP, not sure why. Matt Thornton is having a fine season but I'd take any of those starters over him for an inning. AL had a lot of good pitchers to choose from though, Weaver likely gets the nod if Bucholtz can't make it.

Seems like the game has become how to make the players happy. Being named an All-Star is enough. Let the starters play 5-6 innings. For the fans right?

Instead we have insane managers picking guys who don't even start on their own team to be All-Stars.

Another thing is their should never be more then 2 RP's on a team. Insulting to starters. J. Weaver does not make the squad and the game is in Anaheim? Worse snub then Votto IMO.
